“Our son wears an orthotic ankle/leg brace after a spinal injury which means he has foot drop, and we approached James Taylor as we had heard that bespoke shoes could make a big difference to walking comfort. We live in New Zealand but made sure to make an appointment when we visited the UK - over five years ago now - and James Taylor measured and created lasts with unbelievable professionalism and accuracy. Their knowledge, attitude and care with such a very specific and specialist fitting was impressive but we were still apprehensive, given the cost. The process took a long time, over a year I think from start to finish (this was over Covid so that impacted) but when the boots were finally shipped to us, our son found that they were perfectly fitted and supportive enough that he no longer needed to wear his brace. This has made a huge positive difference to both his comfort and gait. He has twice since had the shoes resoled, each time with exemplary professionalism and care. Our son was working from home but is now in the office more, so the shoes are receiving more use; he has other shoes but these are just so much better, he wears them all the time. Consequently he is now contemplating buying a second pair and aims to do so in the very near future: they are expensive, but they're also an investment for life and nothing else compares. I can't really understand the negative reviews. Our experience could not have been more different: we are beyond delighted with the service and quality of the product.”

I am happy Hobbs Bromley still exists as it has always been my go to place locally for great quality garments and service, without having to travel into the City on weekends!!”

“I.m used to jd sports having disinterested staff so when I visited the epsom branch I was pleasantly surprised. The young man who helped me was proactive and patient, friendly and smiley. I was so impressed I went out of my way to go here last week after receiving some vouchers for my kids. Again the staff were great. “I always avoided this Boots as there are fer less products (cosmetics) compared to the one at Canada Square and the staff was always too relaxed and dismissive. But I have to say THANK YOU to Fiz, one of the staff members there. He has helped me in at least three separate occasions: once with a refund, another time with a product change and another time with advice ordering the product I was looking for (its was out of stock for several days in a few shops). He deserves to be praised for his hard work and I’m sure grateful for him being there.”

“I love this place, it's great store to get woman's sports wear and "related" clothes. There's normal fashion too, but it's the sports wear that's really the selling point here. Trendy, fashionable ladies sports wear, at a good price, and designed to fit everyone, rather than skinny millennials.”

“The store is a very well organised to begin with. The sections of the shoes and sandals and casual wear are nicely presented and there is considerable variety of quality options. The office has its own line of shoes also which are of great quality and I bought one pair for formal wear and the quality and manufacture of the product is excellent and I can say that with some credibility because I have many pairs of very good quality formal wear shoes. The staff is very helpful and kind. The store assistants are very efficient despite of it being very busy all the time. Over all I am very happy and I recommend it.”

“I popped into this branch to find a jumper for my wife. As a man, I’m completely useless at choosing clothes, and nine times out of ten I get it wrong. Today, a young lady asked if she could help. She asked what my wife usually likes and picked out a few tops as suggestions. I chose one, took it home, and my wife absolutely loved it. The assistant was amazing. She introduced herself as Louise, and after speaking to my wife later, it turns out Louise has helped her in the past as well. Louise is a real credit to the Loughton branch.
