“Starter: cheese and ham board: very nice, all fresh, olives, honey,ham cheses nuts ets delicious Main: Chicken dish very nice , not dry not at all, was just perfect. Lamb kofta very nice not to spice but not bland just right. Fries perfect crispy outside and soft inside. Fresh herbs from their garden nice touch. They also have vegetarian option and the plate was full of delicious food Beer cold, music great :-) Atmosphere: staff kept asking if we need anything. We all felt very welcome. We will definitely come back”

“On the 1st of November I had the most incredible 40th birthday party at La Rock. Daiva, Nick and all of the staff absolutely blew myself, my husband and all of the guests away with their exceptional standard of service. Now as regular customers we are used to their high standards but with 55 guests, nearly all of which were drinking they made sure everyone was attended to leaving everyone as impressed as we always are. There was never a queue at the bar, the food was incredible and the way they constantly checked in with me to make sure I was enjoying myself and everything was ok just added to the whole experience. I have the most ridiculously long list of foods I have to avoid and this never seems to be a problem. No matter how complex this gets they take it in their stride and serve me with dishes that look as good as every other guests. Their relaxed and calm manner helped when at times the night became quite overwhelming. I really can not recommend them more highly ❤️”

The place is lovely inside and out, we were there for dinner tonight (30th December), only thing wrong with the evening was that the table behind us seemed to have a couple seated who were “influencers” (idiots) who seems to be streaming whilst complaining constantly about everything and each other……. I can only hope they catch me in the background scowling at their effort to ruin our and everyone else’s enjoyment of this excellent restaurant.”

“Great food at a great price! Have visited a few times but most recently went for the Steak Night menu which includes a drink in the price. Plenty of choice available for the cuts of steak, and also vegetarian, pork, and chicken options so there's something for everyone. Food and service is consistently top notch. The side dishes and desserts are also great value Would highly recommend visiting Porterhouse over any chain restaurants!”

He and his team provided a professional, seamless service with a customised pork free menu including lamb, chicken and beef burgers, chicken sausages, lamb koftas and beef bacon. The meat was exceptional and cooked to perfection. Johnny’s passion and his team’s dedication made the event effortless for us and our guests could not stop praising the food. I noted on my booking that I was dairy free and didn’t expect much as most places still don’t cater well for it but I was delivered the most gorgeous selection of sandwiches and cakes, I was so impressed. “We were fully content with the dishes we had in World Service restaurant. We loved its ambience which set the tone for the overall dining experience. The fillet of beef was utterly delicious which is not an overstatement. Butternut squah terrine was creative and varied. As a side dish we also ordered triple cooked chips with smoked garlic and parmesan. I am not a big fan of chips in general however that one caught my attention and I enjoyed every single piece. Portions are tiny here as they are in most fine-dining restaurants. The only thing we did not like was the concept of service charge. It does not allow for an individual reward which might be a higher percentage point that the service charge itself. Yet, the overall culinary experience was worth it!”

All very lovely. Under £50 including two drinks. Was way too full for any desert. Going through a renovation adding solar panels, with zero disturbance. “Had a lovely meal at The Butchers. We had a ‘Mega Roast’ and it was amazing! The meat was incredible and the unlimited trimmings ensured you had enough food (and some going spare). We will definitely be back. The service was great- Holly was warm, welcoming and attentive. All staff were fantastic. 5/5 would recommend.”

“First time here (Thurs 10/4/25), but it certainly won't be the last !! What a great little independently run italian restaurant. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. It smells amazing just walking in. Mario looked after us mostly, with the help of a young lady later on. Food is top notch, we had steaks for main course, 1 sirloin & 1 fillet. Cooked perfectly & with a great sauce too. Starters were gorgeous & good sized portions (garlic mushrooms & paté), and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert is just amazing....the tiramisu is also very good. Just writing this review makes me want to go back again - right now !! Thanks Luigi's, we'll be back !!”
