“me and my partner came for brunch here, had a lovely coffee made for us and a warm toasty! a nice cheaper alternative as there are a lot of expensive coffee shops in the lanes etc and so if you can't afford that, this gives you a chain place thats still made well to go to!”
“Genuinely one of the nicest spots in Brighton, especially Kemptown. Ever since the new management took over, it's become its own great little community. Plus the coffee is amazing! I wouldn't give much attention to these weird recent negative reviews, like they're written as some sort of slander or negative review bomb? I don't know just seem odd and irrelevant to me This place is in the perfect area to people watch, have delicious coffee, chill out and do your own work, and just feel like you're part of the vibe of the city without all the noise The staff there are really nice too, just super friendly and engaging. A beautiful little community that's an easy stroll from town and also a great local. Highly recommend! (P.S. Ask for Felicia the owner if you'd like the best service)”
“Had a nice lunch here today, great food cooked lovely and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and nice and toilets were immaculately clean which is always a good sign when visiting a restaurant. Will come back. 28/01/2024 Came back again today for lunch. Despite bring very busy, we didn't have to wait long for our food. The food is still Fantastic, very reasonably priced. Staff are excellent, very friendly and nice. Coffee is also very nice. Very much worth a visit.”
“At The Roastery, there’s a cup that stops you in your tracks. Green Monkey. Dark, rich, and a little wild. Bitter chocolate running deep, velvet on the tongue, a roast that tastes like coffee the way coffee should be— no frills, just heaven in a cup. Sip it slow, or let it jolt you awake. Either way, it’s the best.”
“Lovely coffee ☕ I didn't try the food”
“We were delighted to find this great coffee shop during our visit to Brighton! The coffee, pastries, and sandwiches were fresh and flavorful but if you want a nutritious meal I suggest the owner’s homemade savory root vegetable soup! It was fabulous! The good size portion kept me fueled most of the day! Everyone was so friendly. The service was great! Our two times to eat there during our one week stay will be a standout memory from our time in Brighton!”
“Staff are always cheerful and friendly. They make excellent coffee and are very quick even when it's busy. It's easily one of my favorite costa locations.”
“Amazing food - pie was incredible. Gorgeous log fire, beams, character, comfy seats, great playground and big car park”
“If art deco decor and floor to ceiling bay windows to die for are your thing, then Paskins Town House is the spot for you. My partner and I have stayed here numerous times over the years and we just love the laid back vibe, every room we have stayed in has been clean and well looked after and hosts are so friendly and welcoming. I couldn't recommend Paskins anymore!”
“Lovely little place with great people. They made us feel very warm and comfortable as we were with a toddler baby. The food was pretty good, but of course their hospitality is what makes the place top notch. We had ordered the English breakfast and a cheese omelette which were both wonderful.”
“Reliable family pub who always keep the prices reasonable. They were also so brilliant during covid with the outdoor spaces.”
“The pub quiz was amazing and the girls behind the bar were brilliant!!! Victoria, Meg and Bella were the best and made our night. We had a big group and they were super patient and kind. Service overall was amazing. Will come back for the next pub quiz!”
“Lovely little pub positioned at the top end of Rottingdean. The decor is great and has a comfortable feeling about it. It also has a lovely pub garden. Great food menu choices. There is also a great selection of beers and wine. I can personally recommend the Sunday roast it was excellent. Service was excellent and attentive. Highly recommended.”
“Turned up on a rainy Saturday afternoon, Leah the manager squeezed us in despite it being full. We had just over a 1 hour wait but she was always updating us. Food and service was great. (Hunters chicken & steak and ale pie). Yeah offered us a complimentary dessert due to the lengthy wait and we were extremely happy with everything. This is a very popular pub and I can see why. We'll be back (with a reservation)”
“Really good selection of beers on tap. We had the Lunch meal was really nice, some of the nicest Thai food I've ever had! The Pad Kra Prao was very authentic. Only £13.50 for starter and main for lunch is hard to find in brighton, especially for something of such great value! Overall a really lovely experience with friendly staff, will definitely be returning.”
“Definitely a go to. A nice atmosphere and well decorated making it feel homely. Staff are brilliant and have a cracking sense of humour a great place to have a drink and a laugh. Karaoke on a Saturday which is great always a fun night! Quiz on a Sunday a great way to end the week. Will always return ☺️”
“Lovely pub with a great atmosphere. I had the mushroom chilli which was very very nice.”
“Great Rock Oriented bar to find in the centre of Brighton. There are not enough of these venues left and if you are into rock you should support these types of bar at any opportunity! A large range of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages available, friendly atmosphere, with great staff!”

“This was an absolutely wonderful experience. I visited on a weekend and tried the Sunday Trio Main by Chef John, which truly was one of the most satisfying hearty meals I’ve enjoyed. Sue's warm and friendly greeting made the visit even more special, and her lovely conversations added a personal touch. The atmosphere is inviting, and the beautiful location and view genuinely enhance the entire experience, this place has now become one of my top three motorcycle trip destinations. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely ride and a relaxing stop, offering delicious food and some of the most breathtaking views in the region. I highly recommend it.”
“A very good service from this establishment, good menu, and friendly staff members to help you with all your needs. The site has ample parking, well recommend to all who visit.”
“Was here nearly two years ago and remembered the very friendly staff so sought it out when I visited again. Exactly the same; I’m not sure of the man’s name but he provides exemplary customer service.”
“I organised a lunch for 20 people in the private dining room and had a wonderful experience. The staff were brilliant, proactive and quick to response, helping me from the very start with all the logistics and organising. On the day, they styled the room beautifully, service was fantastic and food was amazing. Really tasty seasonal ingredients and great value. All of my guests were so impressed. Thank you to the team, especially Meghan, for all their help!”
“We had our sons first birthday at the kings head on a busy Saturday 1pm for 20 people and a few kids, they were so accommodating and went out their way to make the party perfect. All staff were super helpful and welcoming and Ollie was great. Really recommend this cosy pub for a party or just for drinks.”
“Fish and chips were delicious. They have cider on tap too!”
“Great location opposite the pier in Worthing and these burgers are AMAZING !!! Cooked to perfection and presented beautifully will definitely be coming here again soon. Might even have to try a few things from the cocktail menu next time as well!”
“Bit of a surprise as we came here a year or so ago and walked out due to the rude staff. Came back, different staff and...was pleasantly surprised. Food was good, atmosphere fun, and reasonably priced drinks. Came back a couple of days later! New fave bar in town!”
“Had a great meal here last night, food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. Chloe was very attentive to our needs and made sure we had everything we needed. The garden was large with plenty of seating and the pub welcomes dogs.”
“A crowd of us visited for Sunday lunch and had a great time. Most of us had the Sunday lunch which was enjoyed by us all - tasty and plentiful. The other food ordered was just as good. The girl who served (forget her name unfortunately) us was lovely - friendly and helpful. Only downside was lack of real ales choices. 4 pumps and only 2 in use - and one serving the ubiquitous bland Doom Bar. That said we all had a great time and would definitely return”
“Lots to choose from, inside and outside seating, lovely place.”
