“An amazing venue to host my son’s birthday. Staff were brilliant and kind and the manager was helpful kind and lovely . Thank to all the staff . Good time was had by all.”
“Honestly, regardless of the times, coffee is good and some are not bad”
“Popped in for a quick breakfast and coffee. Wilfred wasted no time in devouring the croissant and lapping up the Cortados. Finished off with a babiccino with chocolate on top. Great location and good service”
“Clean and tidy, greeted as I walked in, scanned my phone food was ready by the time I got to the counter. Comfy sofas and clean my kid loved SpongeBob”
“This is our daughter and son-in-law local pub...we were visiting from the Isle of Wight and popped in here for a drink and a bit of lunch...food was amazing..I had salmon New potatoes and fresh vegetables and it was cooked perfect.. my daughter and son-in-law had burgers which were also very well presented and delicious...my husband had scampi and chips which again was delicious... Drinks are good prices and a lovely spacious garden with ample seating . Plenty of parking available. The icing on the cake was the landlord greeting you personally when you walk in .. highly recommend..lovely friendly pub and fantastic food ❤️❤️”
“I’ve been to The Grenadier Pub a few times now, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food is pretty good value for money – generous portions, tasty, and fairly priced. The staff really make the difference here. Kiera always greets you with a big smile and delivers excellent customer service – friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Hallam is also a pleasure to deal with – always polite, professional, and helpful, adding to the great experience. It’s the kind of place where you feel looked after and appreciated as a customer. Highly recommend if you're looking for a chilled spot with good food and great service. I’ll definitely be back!”
“Lovely pub, must admit that I wasn't blown away by the roast I had but the service and atmosphere was excellent. They also have a huge back garden which was brilliant for letting the kids blow off steam. Would likely return but to try something else on the menu ☺️”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Rockwater Bar and Grill. The food was amazing all the service staff were friendly and tended to our every need. I made a request to make my wife’s birthday extra special and they went above and beyond. I live 250 miles away but be sure the next time I’m in Brighton I’ll be back!! Rock on Rockwater!!”
“Went for a spare of the moment lunch with with my two children today, they had a great choice of food and the childrens menu was also devent quality food too. Another huge plus was that didnt break the bank either. My son has a PEG which he feeds through if he doesnt eat orally, I realised I had forgotten my portable blender, asked the pub on the off chance if they could blend up his meal and they did without any hesitation. They even offered to package up the left overs. Lovely little garden, lots of seating also available inside too where it was nice and cool. They also have a little toy/kids corner which kept the kids entertained before eating. Will definitely be eating there again! Thank you so much for being accommodating to my sons needs.”
“Kateryna was very good, she was welcoming and very positive which makes a big difference in the overall energy of the restaurant. The food was really good, pork ribs was the best, salad bar was also clean. The place is clean and newly refurbished. Definitely the best harvester i’ve had out of all branches.”
“A lovely Caffè Nero with a relaxed vibe, great coffee and the perfect spot to sit and watch the world go by!”
“I stayed at this lovely hotel in November 2025. The service was fantastic, rooms a delight and great location. Unfortunately I had a medical issue during my stay, staff & management went to so much effort to help me and were so helpful. I would definitely stay here again, thank you Legends David”
“Visited on Sunday 14th December 2025 at around 5.30pm and ended up waiting about 40 minutes for the drinks to be served and then a further 1hour for our food to come, the steak was not very hot and very chewy. The place was not very busy and the staff were struggling to cope the 2 waitresses Maxie and Mia were the only saving grace and tried their best to appease the situation. The resturant needs more staff both in the kitchen and in the resturant”
“Lovely cafe with great ambience and atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and nice. It got a warm welcoming vibe and feels like a family and friendly place where everyone knows everyone. The coffees are excellent same as italian coffees strong and flavoured. Really good quality coffees. They have a variety of food like pastries cooked fresh in store, cakes and toasties paninis. It got outdoor seating and sliding windows which gives a fresh breeze while enjoying coffee from indoors and next to the sea and close to all the shopping stores and high street.”
“I recently tried the new starter menu at Stonehouse and was so impressed! The chicken goujons were perfectly cooked — lovely and tender, soft inside and not dry at all. The Camembert fondue was creamy and indulgent, paired beautifully with the toasted garlic bread (a match made in heaven!). The harissa prawns were another highlight — packed full of flavour with just the right hint of spice without being overpowering. Everything was well presented and tasted fresh. A fantastic new addition to the menu — I’ll definitely be ordering these again!”
“Very tasty Sunday roast! Well decorated pub, clean with views to the sea. Good portions, well cooked and plenty of veggies. Amazing cauliflower/broccoli cheese. Good drink selection (and non alcoholic drinks available too). Quite busy on Sunday so better to book it to ensure a place. Service is 10 out of 10.”
“Best beer Garden in Brighton!! - The Hobgoblin is a staple of Brighton life. It's a fantastic pub that's been around for so many years it feels like it's a part of Brighton's heritage. The Beer Garden at the back of the pub is exceptional, extremely Large, fully covered (for those raining drinking sessions) and, in my humble opinion, very well laid out. The staff are always friendly and professional and the pub always partakes in festivities and seasonal events. Drinks prices are average and they often have live music. It's a cornerstone of pub culture and I cannot fault them on anything. Their food is awesome too. well-priced and good quality. If you are visiting Brighton, make time to have a pint at the Hobgoblin. You won't be dissapointed :)”
“I had a brilliant stay at The Downs Hotel in Brighton! Free car parking was a big plus, and the complimentary breakfast was a lovely touch. I was running late for check-in, but Georgie and Rosie were incredibly kind and understanding — they waited for us, welcomed us warmly, and even showed us to our room. The room itself was spacious, spotless, and beautifully presented (I’m really fussy about cleanliness, and it exceeded my expectations!). In the morning, Gemma looked after us at breakfast — she was so friendly, polite, and always smiling, which made the experience even better. The food was great, the service was genuine, and the whole atmosphere was really welcoming. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay — great value, great people, and a great experience. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future!”
“Saw a footy match here with some friends. Close to the train station and big screens for the sport. Nice beer too.”
“Thank you so much to Sadie and the rest of the team for coordinating our booking. Having somebody to help with organising our party took a lot of the pressure off of planning and we had a fabulous time. I especially loved the interactive darts and the wines. We had a big booking and were very well looked after from start to finish, and I really appreciated the check-ins on what we needed leading up to the event. Thanks team- we will definitely be back again!”
“The oldest gay bar in Brighton. Mainly men 40+ Busiest on Sat eve's. Friendly bar staff. Doesn't serve food.”
“We were pleasantly surprised by the service, the accommodating decisions made by the managers, and the attentive care from our server, Jasmine, during our Christmas get-together last night. Even though we had a few last-minute cancellations, the team kindly compensated us with extra time in the private area, along with complimentary shots and food. After our meal, they reserved a table for us in the live lounge where we enjoyed a great DJ set. As expected in a lively venue, a few glasses and bottles were broken, but the staff were quick and attentive in cleaning everything up. The bouncers communicated well with the servers, which helped keep the night running smoothly. Overall, a great experience—would definitely recommend to others.”
“Great buzzy pub in central Brighton. Catch the bus in. No parking nearby. Nice on street outdoor area.”
“Yummy lunch, fun buzzz and great view over the English Channel. Best of All , you can take your Pooch ! And great for Sunset Drinks....amazing location.”
“We visited midweek for lunch. The location is lovely - right on the sea front. We were walk-ins, and it was quiet when we arrived, but it was very busy by the time we left. There is a large seating area with pleasant decor. Service was prompt and my food was lovely - my steak was just as I had requested. All our party enjoyed their meal.”
“Absolute Perfection: Top-Tier Coffee and Cake in Town!I stopped by Trading Post Coffee Roasters and can honestly say this is the best coffee experience I've had in ages. I ordered their classic pairing: a Flat White and a slice of Coffee Cake, and both were flawless. The Flat White was absolute liquid gold. It had perfectly extracted espresso with a deep, rich flavor, and the microfoam was silky smooth—a true sign of a skilled barista. It was the ideal temperature to savor right away. The Coffee Cake was the perfect companion. It was incredibly moist, packed with rich coffee flavor and spice, and had the most delicious crumb topping. It paired flawlessly with the bold coffee.Beyond the drinks and food, the atmosphere is fantastic—bustling but cozy, clearly a spot where people care deeply about the craft. If you're looking for genuinely top-notch coffee and baked goods, look no further. Five stars all the way!”
“I love this cafe. Staff are super friendly and it's really cosy inside!”
“Very enjoyable experience, food & drinks was lovely with the view and water adding a beautiful dynamic to the old school vibe of the building. Definitely recommend a visit!”
“The pistachio cake was amazing, the cafe latte was perfectly creamy, and the relaxing ambiance made the experience even better. Friendly staff topped it all off. Loved it!”
“Tasty food, great service and cosy interior. Would definitely visit again. (Toilets need refurbishment but the rest of the pub looks great.)”
