“A characterful manor and stunning gardens in Italianate style and stunning setting. Lunch in the smart indoor/outdoor restaurant was delightful, presented and served most professionally. We did not sample the equally smart café but it looked first-class. All this made for a great visit and birthday lunch, all for a modest entrance fee.”

“Blaise Castle is a hidden gem in Bristol. The stunning landscape and picturesque surroundings make it a perfect spot for a leisurely walk or a family picnic. The castle itself is charming and steeped in history, offering a fascinating glimpse into the past. The grounds are well-maintained, and there are plenty of trails to explore, making it a great place for both kids and adults. The views from the castle are breathtaking, especially on a clear day. I also loved the nearby café, which has a lovely selection of snacks and drinks. The atmosphere is relaxed, and it's a great place to unwind after exploring the area. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Blaise Castle if you're in Bristol. It's a wonderful blend of nature, history, and tranquility!”

Bistro on site amazing food and value for money cost online with any pub you go to staff all lovely. 15m drive to bath ( in bath no free parking for disabled and expensive ) Only complaint was did put on booking someone with mobility issue but parking on a slight incline (luckily the person with mobility issues didn't come) so was not a issue in this occasion but could of been. Curtains a bit frayed but no means spoilt the visit. Would def go back.”

“We headed down to Clevedon Marine Lake for a summer solstice swim – my wife, a few friends, and me – and it was honestly the perfect way to mark the longest day. This time of year, the lake is unbeatable. The water was clear, the mood was relaxed, and the pontoon in the middle was a hit with the kids (and yes, I couldn't resist a few somersaults myself). It’s a great spot for all ages – plenty of space for serious swimmers, but also for those just there for a splash and a laugh. Loads of fair-weather swimmers like us enjoying a refreshing evening dip. I’ve dabbled in winter swimming here too… others are clearly tougher than me, but full credit to them! Year-round, it’s such a brilliant community space.”

“Did one of their experience days with my Dad this weekend. Fantastic day. Learned a lot and enjoyed being able to hold the birds. Highly recommend a visit! I think we’ll go back to see the other animals at the centre on one of their open days if possible. A slight heads up, one of the flights of the birds involved having an owl fly to you and being able to hand feed it some raw chicken. The chap did ask if anyone wasn’t comfortable with touching the raw chicken piece. Normally I wouldn’t be comfortable without immediately washing my hands (which would have been impractical) but this was not my first bird of prey experience so I was prepared with sanitising hand wipes. But it was good of them to check everyone was okay with it. Just something to consider if you’re going to do an experience and are a bit icked out by that part.”

Initially you can still hear the traffic but as you go in further you will be in the wonderland of blue bells! We went there when it was rainy so definitely needs a hiking shoes that are rain proof. The blue bells were absolutely beautiful!!! Highly recommend to see them :) Some of the paths are less labelled so having more signs could be helpful. There was a big tree that seemed to have felled recently on the road so we could not have done the whole path but other than this great walk :)! Highly recommend :)”
