Pet friendly hotel in Cardiff

“We love this hotel. We got married here 13 years ago and come here once a year to celebrate. The rooms are great, the staff are friendly. The location and views are amazing. We stayed here last night and ate in the Vale Grill. Our host was Lewis and he was fantastic. Very attentive, and even though it was busy he still made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us throughout the meal. The food was great, I had the Orzo Risotto and my husband had the Hanger Steak. Would highly recommend to anyone planning a visit.”

“What a lovely place! The food was amazing, Kristy was very lovely and friendly. I fell down the river and my clothes were fully soaked, she offered help and let me dry the clothes on the radiator. Very cosy, good decoration and lovely atmosphere! Thank you”

“Stayed here on 08th April as we had family staying local. The atmosphere was amazing there was a comedian on who was hilarious!! The owners Gareth and Tash were absolutely sound! “I stayed at The Spires in Cardiff from Wednesday until Friday while working in the city, and it was a great experience. The apartment was very clean, well-presented, and offered excellent value for money. The location is spot on – close to everything you’d need, which made my stay really convenient. I’d also like to mention the gentleman on reception, who was extremely helpful and made check-in and the whole stay very easy. Overall, it was a great stay. I’d highly recommend The Spires Cardiff and will definitely use it again in the future.”

“Little Westra welcomed our Beagle with a friendly team. I was shown around the kennels and facilities beforehand, which was reassuring for a first timer. Our dog seemed happy enough after his 8 day stay and did not have too much of the usual kennel smell which has happened at a different kennel. Overall I would recommend Little Westra and will use them again should the need arise.”

“Amazing meal and fantastic service! We visited for a birthday meal with our dog after being recommended the Three Horseshoes by our AirBnB hosts and a local family friend. We were a little nervous after seeing some of the recent reviews but our experience could not have been more positive. Excellent menu, delicious food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend!”

“We stayed here the night before an early flight from Bristol airport, only 20-30 minutes away that time of the morning. This travelodge is everything you would expect from a travelodge. It was clean and welcoming, there is ample free parking and EV charging stations. Across the carpark is the Landing Light, a Marstons pub which was busy but very spacious, would recommend booking beforehand as we noticed that some walk ins couldn't be accommodated.”

“Absolutely love this place! Spotless clean,amazing view and fantastic breakfasts from the hotel next door. Came last year and rebooked during our stay and did the same again this year. The view is literally amazing, overlooking the sea, the staff are wonderful and we've found them to be very helpful(walking us over so I could park my car before check in and unlocking the gates for us) breakfasts are good value for the money. Haven't encountered anything at all to complain about ( the only thing is the people upstairs but that's not Victoria Mansions fault, it's an old building so to be expected.) Booked again for next year. Thanks Victoria mansion and Weston Super Mare for a fabulous weekend away”

“sent our 6 month old pup here after recommendations from a friend. it was her first time away from us and first time in kennels. She seems to have had a lovely time - had a few pupdates during my holiday, all looked to be happy and running about with the others. Steve and his staff were polite and courteous. would definitely recommend and she will be going again.”

“This historical Welsh public house has so much rich history. The pub is currently being run to a fantastic standard and is a joy to see punters returning. My only concern is the fight the pub now has with its Brewery owner selling the building with an application for change of use to offices for new owners. This would be short of criminal to Welsh heritage.”

“It’s a very convenient solution for accommodation. Very clean in the room and also the kitchen which is very big. Use the parking area of ASDA which is only 5 min walking. The staff was also friendly. If you visit Cardiff, %100 recommend this place. Suitable for couples as well. No issue.”

“My Ragdoll recently stayed at this cattery for a week , he's not an easy cat to look after but Simone did everything I asked and she also messaged me to let me know how he was getting on as I was really worried about leaving him, she told me he was fine and when I collected him he was absolutely fine ! All the accommodation is kept very clean, Simone was very friendly and I felt I could trust her to look after Lynx and if I need to use a cattery again in the future I will definitely return, thank you Simone and Casey ❤️”

“This was a great place to board our dog. Figgy had all the comforts of home and was undoubtedly spoiled! She got out on walks, even if the weather was bad, and as a bonus we were sent videos and pictures of her settling in. If peace of mind for your dog is what you are after, I highly recommend Happy Dogs Home Boarding. Easy drop off and pick up. Martin usually responds within the hour if you have any questions. He is obviously a dog lover himself.”

“Heathroy Kennels are excellent , clean ,tidy & well maintained. My dogs have the one on one attention , any health problems are catered for and the owners are professional, polite & caring. I would recommend this kennels always.”

“Staff so friendly. Slight mistake with our order (dine in), but it was easily sorted. Word of advice, the portions are pretty big, be careful when you order. Food was good too. If I'm ever back in Cardiff again, I'll stop by.”

“Clean with nice big sea view windows, no complaints at all; 2 TVs, WiFi, ensuite good quality shower, loo, kitchen, mini breakfast table, sofa, fresh bed /towels/ tea coffee milk sugar, everything you would expect :) oh, also had trouser press & iron, tea towel/dishcloth/washing up liquid. Located on the end of a lively parade of bars and restaurants on the sea front. Comfy bed, great night's sleep. All good.”

“The most warmest welcome. Can't thank The Bear and their owners for the kind help. They were booked out but helped us find other accommodation. We stopped for well need and welcomed drink. Would recommend to anyone visiting.”
