“We had: Beef Sunday Dinner Belly Pork Sunday Dinner Steak, chips, pepper sauce The Golden Snitch Rhubarb Eton Mess Earl Grey Panacotta All absolutely delicious. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere.”
“Lovely food, generously portioned meat in the main. Beautiful starter, enough chips to feed an army, would definitely recommend and will definitely be ordering again. Very attentive staff and helpful. Thank you”
“Fantastic meal in a brilliant atmosphere. 1st time here and we can it was an enjoyable evening. Service and food was spot on. Would I go again.....Yes.”
“Satisfied with the kindness of the Staff here, Was welcomed with a nice handshake and Then ordered our ice-cream, The ice cream was like what you'd get from a ice-cream truck but nicer! Plus topped with a Strawberry sauce. Decent price aswell! Thanks :)”
“This is a venue you need to book a table for on weekends when events are on in Haworth. They found us a table for a drink in the past when we go for the annual Steampunk weekend. The service by all the staff is absolutely 1st class. I work in catering and seeing the way they deal with the publics questions and problems be assured you will be looked after by great people. A great comfortable atmosphere of a very old building with loads of character. Last but not least the food and drinks are amazing, tastes that you may not have tried before but you will want to go back and taste again. Book try it you will love it.”
“Took my parents here for their first Turkish meal. The service was lovely and friendly, the food was very tasty (and the set menu was a huge amount of food!) and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Plus trying Turkish wine for the first time was good too. Will be back!”
“First time visit, superb Sunday lunch for mum's birthday. Amazing pea and ham soup followed tender sirloin of beef.”
“The first time here has been recommended. So we gave it a go. Looked at the place before setting off as it would be dark before we arrived. I'm glad we did as the rear parking can be easily missed. The restaurant layout was great. We loved the decoration and seating. We ordered two starters and two mains, plus rice, chips, and a garlic nan.”
“Fabulous dining experience. Delicious food, delightful service and great value. Will definitely be returning soon”
“This place is amazing. The staff are really friendly, happy to recommend drinks and food, and have a random chat. We stayed for a few drinks and they were really high quality. Had some great beers and then a few gin and tonics (love fever tree). Nice nibbles of charcuterie and cheeses.”
“Came across this place randomly on social media and decided to pay a visit as was in the area. Lovely little tap room, friendly knowledgeable staff, and a nice range of beers on tap. More interesting beers than the now commercial Magic Rock so we'll be back when next in the area for sure. They also have various food pop ups and open deck nights, nice to see some variation. YoYo the beer monkey also enjoyed it so it's five stars from us!”
“Food was amazing and delicious, atmosphere really good and a great evening out. Will be back again for sure”
“Perfect place for a stop if you're cycling in the area. It was a good menu, with lots of choice and vegetarian options. There's space to prop your bike against the window outside, and see it from your table. There's also a side alley you could potentially leave your bike, but would be out of sight once you were in the cafe.”
“Lovely little bar. Really friendly staff and good prices drinks.”
“Great food and friendly service! The dishes took a little long to arrive, but the quality and taste made up for it. I’d definitely come back again.”
“Came here for a lunchtime meal with a group from work. The food was amazing - even simple starters / sides tasted so good. The mains were also really well prepared and all tasted delicious and full of flavour. The staff are efficient and friendly. I definitely want to go back again and sample some more dishes from the menu.”
“This place is an unwavering favourite. The food is mind blowing, the drinks are well chosen and the staff are truly wonderful. Even though they’re always so busy, they really have nailed the art of hosting. Special thanks to Ojis, Zac and Leandro and of course the wonderful manager Rob. I always look forward to coming back and love bringing visiting friends to this gem.”
“One of the best pizzas I have had! Tasted absolutely amazing and the food came very quick! Also had cheesecake for desert which was incredible! Price was decent, would 100% come back here! Definitely book a table as the restaurant was very busy around dinner time.”
“We visited for the first time this weekend. The food was delicious and great portion sizes. I had the goats cheese and my wife had garlic mushrooms. They were fantastic. I then had the chicken on skewers with rice and bbq sauce andmy wife had the steak. Great portion sizes and couldnt finish it all. Nice atmosphere with attentive and welcoming staff. We will be back the next time we are in York. Highly recommended, give it a try you will not be disappointed.”
“We’ve been to Ambiente a few times now and it’s always been a brilliant experience with a great atmosphere. Everyone is always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Our server was Lorien and she was so lovely. The food was, as usual, absolutely delicious. 5 tapas between us was just right, but we’re not big eaters. The calamari was exceptional. We had a great time and will definitely be going again then next time we’re in York.”
“Excellent quality food and fantastic service. All the meats were excellent and the staff kept bringing more. There’s a pleasant self-service salad/buffet bar too. It was basically empty on our afternoon visit so we got excellent personal service and everything cooked specifically for us. The minted lamb was my personal favourite. We will be back.”
“Great all you can eat place. Good selection of grilled meats, loads of salads and great drinks to wash down what you have eaten. I really enjoyed my visit there and I will come back as soon as I can.”
“Fantastic dinner and atmosphere. We had a reservation for the outside canopy and it was a brilliant cosy dinner. Felt like home with the radiators and the blankets. It would be nice to have more tapa options but the ones we had were spot on. Recommend it !”
“This is a great, welcoming and cosy place. The food is really good tasty and hearty fare. I had the Whitby scampi and will again. A cut above any scampi I've ever had. A nice half of cask ale and a perfect lunch.”
“We enjoyed our meal: large portions: good choice on the menu and excellent, friendly service. The Taylor's Landlord wasn't in good condition and there was a poor choice of Rosé wines, but it would be churlish not to give 5 stars.”
“We come here every time we are in the area. It’s never disappointed us with a great selection of freshly cooked food. Whether it’s full English or their selection of home made pies, unusual salads, sandwiches and even cream teas - they do the lot. Great food, great value and lovely atmosphere - it’s a winning formula. What’s more you can walk or cycle to/from here along the Rochdale canal path. Perfect.”
“Our second stay, wonderful once again. The rooms in the main building are stylish and comfortable, with beautiful joinery, though severely lacking in surface areas so it’s challenging to put anything down except on the floor! However, one comes for the food and warmth of welcome, and neither disappoints. The 10-course menu comprises course after beautiful course of top ingredients prepared with great skill, imagination and a strong Japanese influence and service throughout is warm and professional. The bar area still attracts a local crowd who come to enjoy a drink and sometimes stay on for a superb meal. Breakfast is no less enjoyable, with familiar elements given a ‘fine dining’ feel. Michael Wignall is a modest man with huge skill who has honed his talent in the UK’s top kitchens; we love that he now has somewhere to offer his vision of good food and hospitality.”
“Very nice spot for really tasty food. We had to wait a while as hadn’t booked, so recommend doing so as it is popular. Also there was a slight wait at the bar as not many staff on but the staff were really nice. The food was excellent, nicely cooked meats and tasty. Got the cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets which were both nice additions and big portions. Looks like a great outdoor area at the back overlooking the river”
“Had a nice Sunday roast here the other day. Definitely worth a visit if you're wanting lovely cooked pub food”
“Lovely intimate bar and restaurant in Pudsey. Sourcing and using local produce which is excellent. Started with two very good cocktails which were 241 which is great vfm. Quiet atmosphere with background music which meant it was perfect for conversations. Staff very pleasant and efficient. Scallops were cooked to perfection. We had the Chateaubriand and it was melt in the mouth gorgeous! The chips were the best I have ever tasted. Side salad perfectly dressed and the broccoli was brought to life with chilli, Parmesan and almond flakes! We even managed to share a delicious sticky toffee pudding. Highly recommend this local restaurant.”
