“The best Indian in Chester by a long way. The food is consistently excellent. The service friendly and unfussy. The chef is awesome. We eat curry regularly all around the country and there are few that can match City Spice and its extremely rare a meal exceeds them. Forget Rusholme and Brick lane, this is the best.”

“calm, spacious, comfortable with multiple televisions to watch your favourite game. Beautiful bar, plenty of room where to sit and for added entertainment - the pool table. Staff is very sociable. Expects from customers certain approach to the choice of their outfit. Not strictly a dresscode but if you dress better for a cozy and quiet environment you wont get rowdies. Certainly not in this place”

“Attached to the Premier Inn, and the place to eat food when you stay here. Staff are great and friendly but many people are in this part of the world. Good food hot and serves quickly. Ideal for what we needed after a long drive to the Wirral. Good links to Heswall and other areas of the Wirral and through the tunnels to Liverpool.”

“Love our local the ffrith, the landlord is great, friendly and interacts with everyone. Karaoke nights, quiz nights, live music and bingo it’s the best place around. Fantastic food, food served every day 5* quality. We visit this establishment a few times a week always friendly customers and staff.”

“Great hotel on the outskirts of Chester. Approx 15 min drive to the zoo, Cheshire oaks and Chester city centre. Was slightly worried after booking as read some reviews that didn't rate this hotel but we found it great. Staff very friendly and always happy to help. Bar area nice, breakfast and bar food we had very tasty. Room clean and tidy. Had a problem with the room door not working properly but the handy man arrived promptly and sorted very quickly. Pool and gym facilities looked lovely but didn't use on this occasion. Would stay again.”

“Second time ordering from Genos and I have to say the food has been amazing. Chicken kebab and Donner kebab with chips. The chicken was juicy, tender and sooo tasty. Donner meat was thinly sliced just how we like it and the meal portions are very generous portion. The salad was very fresh and the bread wraps and chips were lovely. We honestly couldn't fault anything. 10/10”

“Some years since I have visited this pub. Superb service from Ben the manager and the lovely Ann. Service just how it should be. Drinks are excellent at reasonable prices. We all had food. The fish and chips and the scampi and chips with mushy peas were excellent and great value for money. A great well run pub - cannot fault it. Toilets were spotlessly clean and also the Ship is really dog friendly so ideal to visit after a picturesque walk along Sankey Valley to Carr Mill dam. Will definitely be visiting again very soon.”

“I arrived really late and the receptionist was exceptionally kind and helpful—especially since I’d made a bit of a mistake and booked the wrong year! Thankfully, the reception team saved the day. The rooms are basic but perfectly fine for a couple of nights, and the price was originally very reasonable. The location is excellent, with shops, bars, and restaurants just a short walk away, and the docks close by as well.”

“The place to go, atmosphere is unreal, the bar staff are so lush and friendly, as are the bouncers - all our nights out end up here. Bar tenders are always on a high, Charlie brings the party to the bar ”
