“We were driving passing by to charge our car, and happen to walk in the reception found this bar. The young pretty waitress was so nice and helpful, we all love her smile. and the food was unexpectedly delicious, really delicious compared to the all ones we had in our trip. Highly recommend.”

“Good example of a Holiday Inn. Nice staff and rooms are clean and modern enough. Breakfast staff in particular were very attentive and even though there was no boiler available to make tea, i was asked if i wanted tea or coffee when taken to my table and a pot of tea brought shortly afterwards. This is excellent and other Holiday Inn hotels should take note!”

“Typical Village Hotel Club situated in Whiston and with easy access to the M62 and M57. The hotel has a large car park with electric car chargers available. The hotel has a club attached with gym and swimming pool as well as a lively bar serving food with big screens for sporting events. Function rooms are also available. The rooms are reasonably large and tastefully decorated and comfortable. Large screen TV with Sky Sports included in the room. All making for a very pleasant stay”

“On the 22nd June 2024, I stayed at this hotel for a wedding of a friends, With My Mother and 1 other person, we couldn't check in just yet but the lady working there was very nice, she even kept our suitcases safe and checked those in and we had a chance to get ready for the wedding, once we got back from the venue, we went to the room, it was nice and clean. Breakfast was definitely 5 star, You had a range of options. I hope to visit again.”

“My husband and I stayed for my birthday and had such a lovely time. The location is amazing for Chester and access to the city with the park and ride right next door or 10 mins driving. Also just 10 mins to Chester Zoo. We had Muskan on reception who was the sweetest person, so welcoming and gave us the full detail on the hotel and places to see in Chester. Simran and the team left a handwritten card, chocolates, towel art, balloons and banner in our room as my husband mentioned we were celebrating my birthday, which was very thoughtful! The room was spotlessly clean - does need a little upgrade here and there but had everything we could want. Shower had good power and was a good temperature. We had dinner in the hotel and really enjoyed it, again the staff there couldn't do enough for us and the same for the breakfast in the morning - all lovely options on offer and the staff were wonderful. We went to the spa which is a pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room and is also a little tired but clean and we enjoyed an hour there. There's also a gym but we didn't use it and nice garden area.”

“This review is for two members of staff that made my stay worth every penny and more. Me and my partner stayed for two nights and received the best service we have had in any previous hotel we have stayed at. Matt who greeted us at check-in was everything you would want in an employee… He was well mannered, had a smile on his face and made you feel welcome. During are stay he went above and beyond to cater not only to us but everyone else staying in the hotel. Nothing was to much for him and at one point I had to ask if he had a twin working. Matt was everywhere from greeting you, serving you your meal and drinks, putting out fresh bedding even carrying luggage to people’s rooms. If you ever stay here I hope that you meet this gentleman he will make your stay as best as he can to his capabilities. Thank you Matt you are a credit to this company. Jane I believe took over from Matt as night staff. I did not have many encounters with her as it was late, but what short encounters I did I couldn’t ask for more. Her welcoming smile and how professional she dealt with an issue I had one night was incredible. She took the time out of her shift to speak and listen to me and do everything she could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I can’t say much more about Jane but I believe if I had met her working in the day I would have more to say and she would have excelled like Matt did. “i had a maccies off uber eats and it made me shat so hard i started crying, the other residents started making noise complaints about my cries of pain so the staff tried to kick me out. they couldnt get close to the room as the pongy whiffs kept them at bay, room was nice but not after i left it, id give it 10 years”

“I booked in an all female bed space. The room and toilet is clean though the room was warm but it was okay. It was near the shopping centre, restaurant/ fast food, and around it was different pub where you can party all night. It was great place and great value for money. The staff are very nice and accommodating.”

“Wonderful location in my favorite part of Liverpool. Nice rooms with a beautiful view of the river and the city. I liked the breakfast, the breakfast area is very spacious and can accommodate many guests. The staff are very friendly. I was 15 minutes late for my checkout, and the staff were very understanding. I’ll definitely come back here again.”

“Staff were very welcoming and helpful from the beginning. Very handy hotel if you’re going to watch the football as it’s only a 5 minute (ish) walk away from both stadiums! Bar inside is lovely, the £2 a pint is a bonus. Rooms were clean and comfortable, would definitely recommend.”

“We stayed at the city hotel for 2 nights for my partners birthday weekend away, before we even arrived Sophie was texting us to see if we needed anything and let us know our room was ready, and wow what a room! We stayed in room 6 which has a free standing bath and all the little Luxuries you could need, from coffee pods, tea, fresh milk to shower gels, shampoo and bath salts. The room is well presented and nicely laid out with a very comfy bed and soft furnishings giving that homely luxury feel. Sophie was always on hand only a text away and willing to answer any questions or queries we had, as well as providing our welcome drinks on arrival and making sure our room had extra towels and toiletries on day 2 of our stay. I would HIGHLY recommend the city hotel Chester for a weekend get away and cannot thank Sophie enough for all the effort she puts into looking after her guests.”

“Staff were very friendly and super helpful. Location couldn't be more convenient, we will definitely come back here. Room was incredibly cosy with a TV packed with services, if you're a couple or group of friends on a short stay in Liverpool who don't mind a busy street (trust me, trade off is worth it) that gives you easy walkable access to everything good in the city, then this is the place for you! Perfect place for a city stay.”

“I stayed here for tewlve nights in May, this was the fifth time I have stayed here. As usual all staff extremely helpful. Rooms extremely clean, and good breakfast. You are only two minutes away from bus into Liverpool which takes approximately 20 minutes, or bus into Birkenhead and catch bus to Cheshire oaks outlet, or carry on into Chester. Unfortunately for the staff I,ll be back in November.”

“What can I say, been here less than half an hour and found the hotel spotless as we stepped into reception. Receptionist Rosie was absolutely fantastic when we found out our room was on the second floor and it was no trouble in transferring us to a ground floor room. Our room was spotless, the restaurant was fantastic with very polite and very helpful staff. Whole heartedly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in North Wales (the price was great too!).”

“Decent rooms, decent WiFi, decent breakfast but get down early before the rest of the guests (particularly children) have finished messing about with the food that has been left out. In these Covid times it is not particularly pleasant watching people picking the food up with their hands, inspecting it and then putting it back again. In particular, the golfers seem to be self centred enough not to use the sanitiser provided, and not keep to the 3 person rule in place around the food area.”

“Auntie Katie looked after my 3 poochies, two young springers and a 15yr old lab. They all had an absolute ball! We received pictures and updates throughout each day which was reassuring. Auntie Katie went to extra special efforts to ensuring my fussy eater ate every meal, he doesn't normally do that for me! There was lots of fun activities for them each day and all their individual medication needs were met. If you want your pets treated like royalty whilst you cannot be with them, auntie Katie is the lady for you, what an absolute gem she is. Some pictures of my happy poochies from auntie Katie.”

The love they have for our daisy and all other dogs is lovely to see and it’s so reassuring knowing Daisy is in safe hands when we’re away. We frequently receive updates, videos and photos and you can see Daisy is thoroughly enjoying herself. 5 star for sure x”
