    The Arboretum Cafe

    ★★★★☆ 4.5
    Closed

“Lovely building and location, with great service, very nice vegan options, and really good prices! My only wish would be for the vegan options to be listed on the main menu, but they have plenty of options- you just need to ask. They have vegan sausages, cheese, ham, cobs, jacket potatoes, and a few vegan cakes.”

    Fox Cafe

    ★★★★☆ 4.5
    Open

“This café was a delightful find! I stopped in to get some work done and was pleasantly surprised by how reliable and fast the WiFi was – perfect for a productive few hours. The food was absolutely delicious – it had that comforting, home-cooked feel that’s hard to come by in most cafés. Their cappuccino deserves a special mention – rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The ambience is warm and welcoming, with a cozy vibe that makes you want to linger. Though the staff were clearly busy, they were still attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. The only downside was the strong food smell inside, likely because the kitchen is open to the seating area. There is outdoor seating, which would’ve been a great alternative, but unfortunately it was too cold and windy on the day I visited. Overall, despite that small drawback, I’d highly recommend this place – whether you're looking to relax, catch up on work, or just enjoy a fantastic meal and coffee.”

I love the atmosphere – it’s cosy and charming, even though the space is a bit small, it makes it feel welcoming and intimate. “Here’s a super casual version: Caffè Nero is such a chill spot. I love how they open early in the morning—it’s perfect if you need that first coffee to start your day. The atmosphere is really nice, and the staff are always so friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. Oh, and they have a student discount, which is always a win! I tried their new Tiramisu Latte recently, and wow, it’s so good. If you’re into dessert-y coffee, you’ll love it. Definitely worth visiting”

    ØKENDE

    ★★★★☆ 4.4

“I have been coming to this coffee shop semi regularly since it opened. The coffee is always great quality and their rotation on espresso keeps things fresh. As a coffee dabbler, it’s great to have excellent coffee at your doorstep. The baked goods are excellent, the new malted milk chocolate cookies are awesome. I didn’t get a photo of it as I ate it too quickly”

    Caffè Nero

    ★★★★☆ 4.3
    Open

“A few months ago the store lost its awnings and still has temporary signage and its refurb whilst an improvement was rather underwhelming. But most sad is the lack of attention outside the front of the store which is never swept before the tables and chairs go out. The pictures are BEFORE the front door was opened. Previous review below Lovely shop although it needs a refurb. Lots of community feel here. Toilets are generally not great. Fresh pastries and cakes are lovely. The coffee is very good and they take genuine care in it. The manager is on it and makes sure the team are epic.”

“I hosted a baby shower here for my daughter on 25.11.23 and we all had a wonderful afternoon. The food was delicious and the presentation of everything beautiful. There were a couple of dietary requirements which were sorted in advance and on the day the staff were totally professional, and ensured we had the best afternoon which we did! Many thanks for all your hard work and would definitely recommend and return in the future.”

“It was our second time visiting the Admiral Rodney as we really enjoyed our date in there the first time . Always a lovely cosy atmosphere and great we can bring our dog in with us too . On ordering by the app and noticing that pies had ran out I thought I’d check with the man behind the bar . He was very helpful and friendly and checked for me and two pies were still available. Had a starter of a sharing nachos dish then a main of steak and ale pie , mash and veg . Food was amazing and extremely filling . Can’t wait to go back again .”

    Homemade Cafe (at The Pavilion)

    ★★★★☆ 4.2
    Open

“My go-to place for brunch and breakfast on the outskirts of Nottingham City Centre. Lovely location at The Forest park so plenty of parking or easy access to the tram. Perfect to have a bite to eat in a nice location, then nip into town. I've only eaten breakfast or light bites here but I've never been disappointed and now you can order online so there's no queues as in previous years. The cafe has recently expanded inside and outdoors, the outdoor area is covered and has heaters so you can stay outside even in colder weather. Very extensive menu with options for all dietary requirements and lots of delicious cakes and light bites to take away if you're in a hurry. Their picnic box looks fab too!”

“came here for brunch with friends, between us we tried both the vegetarian and vegan breakfasts, as well as hot and iced lattes. was very impressed by the range of dishes offered and the way that the vegan and veggie dishes didn’t just seem like an afterthought. very reasonably priced - full English with a coffee for £11 a head and not lacking on quality or portion size either!! coffee was great too, and we were told that it’s from a local roaster too which is great. Staff were very polite and friendly and it’s just so nice to find another cosy spot that is reasonably priced and caters to everyone!!!”
