“Staff were really good. The room was alot better than expected from the price.big bed. Clean..nice bathroom.. right next to the football ground. Nice busy bar on football home matches. Managed to get parked in there car park.”

“Unfortunately I was attending a Wake but the Avenue Club was an ideal venue. It was centrally located with easy access to main routes. The club itself was nice - very clean and well decorated. Access was good for wheelchairs and the room where the venue was easy to move around. The food served was plentiful and lovely. All in all a lovely place.”

“The location is convenient for a short drive to city center. Rooms are ideal for the price and cozy. Staff is the standout quality though, they were incredibly accommodating and helpful even though we had issues booking through a third party service. The employees and manager could have just as easily told us this mistake was not their problem but they went above and beyond to help us meet our short holiday needs.”

“So the person tending to me his name was : Pavel We came to the hotel , he answered straight away , he greeted us kindly. He gave us our documents promptly , we signed it. He gave us our keys. He constantly asked us if we're okay , reassuring us. We made it to the hotel fine. The rooms are nice. Pavel made sure we had everything we needed for the night. He deserves a raise after such work because usually when I go to a hotel , even nicer ones technically. I just don't get that kind of service and I feel like the hotel , thanks to him , has left a good impact”

“Unique and surprisingly affordable. spent a very peasant 5 days pretending to be lord and lady of the manor. Fully equipped country kitchen, comfortable rooms and beautiful country side views. Very self-service and be prepared to put up with old electrical outlets and plumbing and to share with visiting tradies and other fellow travellers.”

“Excellent quality price. Good TV. Clean independent shower. Pretty bed, pretty sheets, super clean and comfy. Good wifi. Fan. It was great. Free tea, milk and coffee in the bedroom with a kettle. Nice receptionists. My bedroom and outside looked newly renovated. I am glad I didn't bother about the negative references. The bus for the airport is a few minutes walk. It takes less than 5 minutes to reach the airport by bus. There is a little supermarket a few meters away selling everything you need. It was not that noisy.”

“You can’t review this place in the same way you would for a hotel you spend £60 + for. My review is relative for the price I paid. If you want a true reflection on whether to stay here read the below. I stopped here on a business trip with 3 others. Including breakfast it cost us £30 each. Can I really complain about the little things with prices like that? Parking was said to be an issue but directly outside the hotel there is a street, when we turned up I was able to park directly outside the hotel for free, no issues. The building itself is beautiful but like most old buildings needs work. They are refurbishing it. The staff have all been very friendly and helpful across the board. The reception area is lovely and so is the bar areas. The room itself was perfect for our needs. Yes the bed wasn’t the best and the room not the biggest but it was clean. What do you expect for £30??? All tea making facilities etc and coat hangers and hair dryers, TV etc etc. The room was a little cold at first but the radiator was on all night, once in bed no issues. If you’re with a partner this wouldn’t be an issue. The breakfast was fine too. Unlimited drinks, juices, pastries, cereal and toast. They take your order (friendly again) and the food for £5 was spot on. Would I stop here again? If I wanted a cheap night away in Birmingham. Without a doubt. It could be a magnificent place but because the building is old i understand it’s no cheap job!”

“Martin is a really nice guy, who makes you feel welcomed into his home! Rooms are clean and tidy, but the breakfast is by far the best I've ever had in any hotel...you really cannot fault this place for the price! Highly recommended!”

“It is a wonderful hidden gem in the centre of Stourbridge. Clean, beautiful decor,quality furniture, bedding, and linen. Fully equipped kitchen, dining table, and chairs. 2 smart tvs, sky sports on both. Parking outside of the cottage. Quiet and private. Near to shops, eateries, buses and railway station. Hosts were welcoming and unobtrusive, but there if needed! There were plenty of food necessities left for us to use. A wonderful, perfect holiday!”

“Why did I give it 5/5? First of all, this is the only place near the airport where you can stay for £49 per night as a family of 2 adults and 3 children, with two double beds in one room – that alone makes it worth it! We called the reception thinking it was “Adnan’s Hotel,” but we were actually welcomed by Gables Hotel Solihull. It seems that the photos provided might be from rooms at Adnan’s Hotel, not Gables – the actual rooms at Gables Hotel are different. Still, in terms of price-performance and cleanliness, it’s a perfectly acceptable place to stay.”
