“Stinkys is the only dog groomers our 3 y/o Bernese Mountain Dog Nutmeg has ever known. Nutmeg loves going to see Tina & Paul - it's one of her favourite places to go PLUS she comes out smelling salon fresh. I can't praise them highly enough. Nutmeg is a big, high-energy dog and she gets 1st class treatment at Stinkys so we wouldn't take her anywhere else.”

“Had a great overnight stay here while on a golfing weekend away with our golf society. The single room was very good for a one night stay and the location was superb for the local nightlife. The full English breakfast with poached eggs and a pot of tea was superb and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend”

“PERFECT! There is no need to repeat that word because it applies to EVERYTHING. Desprate for a nice breakfast after landing at Leeds Bradford Airport. Googled for an all-day breakfast nearby and struck gold. No waiting, seated straight away, the atmosphere is perfect, very relaxing. Ordered straight away and served very quickly. What you see in the pictures of the food is what you get, very well presented by quality staff. If you have not visited yet, when you do, I think you will be returning.40-minute drive for us, but we will be calling again. The Corner House puts many larger restaurants we have been to, to shame. Visited Murgatroyds a couple of weeks ago. They were worth a 3.5 > 4.0, a 15% refund required there. Felt like paying more for what we received at the Corner House. Give them a try. “I buy all my Cat food. Usually in cases of 80 packets, also large sacks of cat litter and birdfood, the staff on the tills always offer to get someone to help me carry them. I find all the staff very helpful and nothing is too much trouble.”

“last-minute (typical male) search for a Valentine’s night getaway led me to a place in the center of Haworth that was booked within seconds. Then, I came across this little gem, full of surprises. My take on it: a great place nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire hills. I visited during the coldest time of the year. From the first call I made to the moment I left, I was impressed. The lady who answered the phone quickly confirmed availability, and Karen (a lovely lady I met outside) has kept the place spotless for over ten years. You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression, and they nailed it. We stayed in the Charlotte Room, which featured light grey wallpaper with peacocks etched into it, beautiful beams, and a cozy ambiance. The room included a sauna, and I enjoyed a swim as well. It was excellent value for money. The pub was equally fantastic—despite being Valentine’s night, they managed to fit us in last minute. The meals—both breakfast and dinner—were generous portions, and the service was warm and attentive. To summarize, it was a refreshing change; in a world where things often don’t live up to expectations, this exceeded mine. A couple I met by the pool mentioned they had visited three times—that says it all! Highly recommended. When leaving the car, we unfortunately had a small mishap. i.e., it didn’t start, bit of a conundrum. We tried to start the car, and with the cold weather, it refused. Rang AA and went to a local pub. Hati, a waitress, was super helpful and suggested we get a hot chocolate and some Biscoff biscuits. She invited us in to sit by the fire. To some observers, this may have appeared small, but in the throws of one of Bradford’s most desperately cold winters, it was so welcome and so appreciated. Thanks to all, and big thanks to Karen, who attempted to help us jump-start the car with leads from her car to ours. Our only downside was we had to get home and missed out on shopping in the charity shops and some of Haworth’s shops, so it felt a bit curtailed. But it was our Valentine’s break, and my treat is getting to share time with Carolyn, my girlfriend, incidentally truly my greatest find.”

“Currently staying the night here with my partner just to get away from home and it’s been lovely from the minute we arrived. Such a nice little country pub. All the staff are all so welcoming and attentive and especially have been during our meal, despite them being so busy. Our food was gorgeous and so reasonably priced. The room is lovely and comfortable and it’s so nice to not have to leave the building to have a nice stay. We’ve ended up booking breakfast for the morning too. We would definitely return and 100% recommend. Thank you for a lovely night guys.”

“We visited 27/10/25 for the Spooks event during half term. We visited Trick or Treat Street, The pumpkin patch, The Rustic Garden for the School of Evil show and food, the bouncing pillows, the animal barns and the Soft Play. Trick or Treat Street was great, you move as a small group and knock on the doors for a Trick or a Treat. The characters were great and included all children. The School of Evil show was great. The kids age 6 and 7 really enjoyed this and the dance moves. They even got the adults up dancing too and gave time at the end for pictures, I noticed they made an effort with each child which was lovely. We got coffees and food from the food truck. The coffees at £3 each were disappointing and the bar coffee machine wasn't working. Our meals were nice. The children's portion sizes were decent sized, good enough for an adult. The pumpkin patch is good and one of the less muddy ones, with some lovely photo opportunities. Pumpkins not included and these are extra. There was a pumpkin carving area in one of the barns so you could carve on the day if you wished. There are a couple of animal areas, but I feel that these are lacking compared to other farms. We love animals so it would be nice to have some more areas. The soft play is large and the kids really enjoyed it. We were glad we ate at the rustic garden as the queue was so long and the QR option to order from your table wasn't working. But they do offer a larger selection of food here. All staff at the farm were friendly and pleasant. As it was half term it was busy just queuing in at opening, yet staff remained friendly to everyone despite the constant queue. We have visited Thornton Hall several times before and have enjoyed ourself each time.”

“Used rajs chemist for over 25 years, the staff r friendly polite n very helpful, i couldnt get round 4 my prescription n even though i only live round the corner n am essentially housebound n even though they had no driver 2 deliver they delivered it 2 me personally which most chemists wouldnt do, a big thank u 2 them all”

“Had to take our collie to the Burnley practice, this morning, and kind of "knew" that we wouldn't be bringing him home. We don't know the name of the vet who dealt with us, a really young guy, who was lovely to deal with. He was gentle and kind with our dog, and sympathetic, respectful and clear with his explanations to us. We were obviously upset but he made the process as bearable as these things can be. I hope he gets to read this review, or at least is told about it. He's a credit to the practice, and needs to be held on to (take note, managers). The staff there were amazing, they gave them lots of attention, as well as keeping me regularly updated on how they were and what they were doing treatment wise. Even stressed and worried sick I was still reassured that they were in safe hands ❤️”

“I was lucky to find this cattery last minute—highly recommend it! The pens are spacious and very clean, and I received two lovely updates during the week, which really put my mind at ease. The staff were polite, friendly, and clearly care about the animals. Just a tip: make sure to use the full address when heading there, as there’s no sign and my sat nav tried to take me to a nearby farm shop. Overall, a fantastic experience and I’ll definitely be booking again!”

Yesterday, when we picked them up from their first stay at Greengates Cattery it was totally different!! They were relaxed, happy, & content & when we got them back home it's as tho they had never been away. No trauma! At last!! A cattery where we feel happy to leave them knowing that they are obviously very well cared for & content!! Judith & Jim are such lovely, caring people & were totally reassuring when we explained our concerns when first visiting.We needn't have worried. “We’ve left our mog here for long and short durations multiple times. About to take him there again. I truly believe that our cat gets the care he requires. I’d rather pay a little bit to know that he’s in good hands. I witnessed the occasion with the poor review and it seemed like a bit of confusion had occurred so probably sour grapes.”
