βThough I've only visited the grounds, the atmosphere is stunning and the few interactions I had with the staff were fantastic. They were professional and welcoming. Based on what I've seen, this looks like a truly great place to stay and dine in Halifax.β
βI took my cat to see Kevan for a second opinion regarding my older cat, he was amazing, he explained everything very clearly and reviewed Ollie within a month of his initial consultation. Kevan is definitely a cat person, he did not charge for the follow up appointment and his bedside manner was excellent. I really would recommend using this vet.β
βPERFECT! There is no need to repeat that word because it applies to EVERYTHING. Desprate for a nice breakfast after landing at Leeds Bradford Airport. Googled for an all-day breakfast nearby and struck gold. No waiting, seated straight away, the atmosphere is perfect, very relaxing. Ordered straight away and served very quickly. What you see in the pictures of the food is what you get, very well presented by quality staff. If you have not visited yet, when you do, I think you will be returning.40-minute drive for us, but we will be calling again. The Corner House puts many larger restaurants we have been to, to shame. Visited Murgatroyds a couple of weeks ago. They were worth a 3.5 > 4.0, a 15% refund required there. Felt like paying more for what we received at the Corner House. Give them a try. They will not let you down. Dave Cβ
βCurrently staying the night here with my partner just to get away from home and itβs been lovely from the minute we arrived. Such a nice little country pub. All the staff are all so welcoming and attentive and especially have been during our meal, despite them being so busy. Our food was gorgeous and so reasonably priced. The room is lovely and comfortable and itβs so nice to not have to leave the building to have a nice stay. Weβve ended up booking breakfast for the morning too. We would definitely return and 100% recommend. Thank you for a lovely night guys.β
βHad to take our collie to the Burnley practice, this morning, and kind of "knew" that we wouldn't be bringing him home. We don't know the name of the vet who dealt with us, a really young guy, who was lovely to deal with. He was gentle and kind with our dog, and sympathetic, respectful and clear with his explanations to us. We were obviously upset but he made the process as bearable as these things can be. I hope he gets to read this review, or at least is told about it. He's a credit to the practice, and needs to be held on to (take note, managers). A kind professional, good with upset clients and lovely with animals - Burnley's James Herriotβ
βI buy all my Cat food. Usually in cases of 80 packets, also large sacks of cat litter and birdfood, the staff on the tills always offer to get someone to help me carry them. I find all the staff very helpful and nothing is too much trouble.β
βExcellent and professional and friendly. I would recommend getting your flu jab here.β
βGreat support in the treatment of Harry and in the different decisions that were to be made. Laura the vet was extremely understanding with the situation.β
βUsed to be our regular groomer for Junior the staffy haven't visited in years, went today and it was like nothing changed. Dog was at ease. Vicky is one of the nicest groomers we've ever been to! She's a dog owner herself and would never harm anyones fur babiesβ
β2 of my fur babies were kept in here last year when they were seriously poorly. The staff there were amazing, they gave them lots of attention, as well as keeping me regularly updated on how they were and what they were doing treatment wise. Even stressed and worried sick I was still reassured that they were in safe hands β€οΈβ
βThe staff are amazing, caring people. The vets very knowledgeable. Have been coming here over 30 years.β
βLisa the nurse at Donaldson Vets Sowerby Bridge was outstanding. I needed advice about my 15 year old dog who was dying at home. Even though I wasn't registered with this practice, I just needed guidance and advice from a professional. Lisa without hesitation assisted me and was very knowledgeable and reassuring and gave me the answers I needed to my questions. Lisa is a truly caring person and absolutely a credit to the Veterinary trade. Thankyou so much Lisa and all the best for the future. Jasonβ
βThanks for sorting out our beddy whippets problem on the eve of daughters wedding Wedding was fab and the pup had fab time too Very relieved all round!β
βStaff very helpful, gave good advice for wasp stings for my dog and saw him quickly when his eye was swollen due to stings. Thank you for helping Barney xβ
βBrilliant kennels, my dog loves going and has never shown any issues after. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and very accommodating.β
βI went to west mount vets- greetland practice today. It was an emergency appointment and I have to say the empathy and care of everyone there was incredible. I couldnβt have asked for better from any of them. Massive shoutout to Amy Smith, Rebecca Harrison,Nikki Dobson and Martina.β
βI have nothing but praise for this practice. They are so caring for your pet and also for their owners/parents. We are not insured and they worked with us through a very difficult time and minimised the costs of treating our very poorly Westie. I am really grateful for the care they delivered and I can recommend them highly.β
βExcellent food excellent service excellent staff what more do you need!β
βlast-minute (typical male) search for a Valentineβs night getaway led me to a place in the center of Haworth that was booked within seconds. Then, I came across this little gem, full of surprises. My take on it: a great place nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire hills. I visited during the coldest time of the year. From the first call I made to the moment I left, I was impressed. The lady who answered the phone quickly confirmed availability, and Karen (a lovely lady I met outside) has kept the place spotless for over ten years. You donβt get a second chance to make a first impression, and they nailed it. We stayed in the Charlotte Room, which featured light grey wallpaper with peacocks etched into it, beautiful beams, and a cozy ambiance. The room included a sauna, and I enjoyed a swim as well. It was excellent value for money. The pub was equally fantasticβdespite being Valentineβs night, they managed to fit us in last minute. The mealsβboth breakfast and dinnerβwere generous portions, and the service was warm and attentive. To summarize, it was a refreshing change; in a world where things often donβt live up to expectations, this exceeded mine. A couple I met by the pool mentioned they had visited three timesβthat says it all! Highly recommended. When leaving the car, we unfortunately had a small mishap. i.e., it didnβt start, bit of a conundrum. We tried to start the car, and with the cold weather, it refused. Rang AA and went to a local pub. Hati, a waitress, was super helpful and suggested we get a hot chocolate and some Biscoff biscuits. She invited us in to sit by the fire. To some observers, this may have appeared small, but in the throws of one of Bradfordβs most desperately cold winters, it was so welcome and so appreciated. Thanks to all, and big thanks to Karen, who attempted to help us jump-start the car with leads from her car to ours. Our only downside was we had to get home and missed out on shopping in the charity shops and some of Haworthβs shops, so it felt a bit curtailed. But it was our Valentineβs break, and my treat is getting to share time with Carolyn, my girlfriend, incidentally truly my greatest find.β
βFabulous staff! So helpful and clearly adore their patients. The vet was very understanding and gave me some excellent advice. Receptionist was wonderful and smiley. Only issue is parking, but not much can be done about that!β
βWe have 2 extremely spoilt cats & have tried various catteries in the past but the experience has always left them very traumatised. Yesterday, when we picked them up from their first stay at Greengates Cattery it was totally different!! They were relaxed, happy, & content & when we got them back home it's as tho they had never been away. No trauma! At last!! A cattery where we feel happy to leave them knowing that they are obviously very well cared for & content!! Judith & Jim are such lovely, caring people & were totally reassuring when we explained our concerns when first visiting. We needn't have worried. Their love of cats, all animals & nature, shines through. Thank you both so very much. Our cats will be happy to stay with you again!!β
βHad my old boys groomed yesterday by Gail, she was so good with them, Mac is very anxious and shakes a lot but was nice and relaxed when picking them up. Thank youβ
βLovely manor house with excellent food and 1st class service dining experience. Very attentive and professional happy, smiling waiting staff.β
βOutstanding food! Service was amazing! Turned up last minute and still got 100% from all the staff. Owners are a lovely couple would highly recommend! Thank you all!β
βMet with Vet Rory who was one of the best vets I have seen in a long while. Took time to listen, was lovely with my 12 year old dog, Elvis, didn't recommend any unnecessary procedures, talked me through my options and gave advice on each one. I didn't feel rushed (even though they were busy) and came away feeling much hopeful for my older animal getting what he needsβ
βExcellent location, very nice venue Room was very clean and comfortable. Extremely warm but easily controllable, great accommodation Breakfast was atrocious, poor lady working was on her own and clearly needed help. Almost nothing available from the continental breakfast and the cooked breakfast was so poor I couldn't eat it. Real shame as the rest of the stay was very nice.β
βBeautiful location with amazing views. Loved the outdoor space, great for a night under the lights with your drinks. The rooms were beautifully decorated. Parking exactly outside. Both dinner and breakfast exceptional! Will definitely visit again.β
βIt's the first time I have been to the Milestone. I went with my sister and her husband. I must say we throughly enjoyed ourselves. The service, food and atmosphere was great. The food is reasonably priced but good quality. I had fish and chips. Probably the best I have had for a very long time. If you're close by try it.β
βSince moving vets this is the first time I have had to bring one of dogs. He is usually a very nervous dog but right away, we were met by friendly staff who put ourselves and Archie at ease. This was continued when we met the vet who made archie feel comfortable, didn't try to push products on us, explained possible treatments and costs, and was knowledgeable and friendly throughout. We ledt feeling like even the vet had Archies best interests in mind opposed to trying to rack up the highest bill. Best vets visit since he was a pup, now he's 8! Would definitely recommend.β
βTook our dog Belle to be spayed , was told about the procedure in full when dropping her off . Was called after the surgery to let me know Belle had come round and was in recovery . On collection it was again explained what Belle had had done, that she had eaten a small amount of food . Was given an aftercare sheet annd pain relief, and a follow up appointment made . Receptionists and nursing staff were all pleasant and made us feel very welcome . We have used Yorkshire vets for our animals for over 10yrs now and are happy with their careβ
