“Arrived for vaccine appointment. Dealt on time no long wait. Vet checked puss over eyes teeth weight and heart before administering vaccine. Talked to my puss just as I do to reassure her through the appointment. Gave some good advice on relieving travel stress. Puss went home feeling quite content.”

“Great campsite with spectacular views, very reasonably priced. The owner Ann is always helpful and friendly. The site boasts a huge barn with tables and chairs, a kettle, fridge and power points for phone charging, The showers are powerful and hot with facilities kept spotlessly clean. You can hire a fire pit and buy logs on site so you can enjoy a camp fire while taking in the amazing views across the valley. It’s a short but steep walk down to Hebden Bridge through pretty woods but we would recommend getting a taxi back up the hill ( £10) unless you are very fit! On Sunday morning there is a food cabin on site serving full breakfast, sandwiches and hot drinks. This is our second visit to Old Chamber and we hope to visit again soon.”

“We attended Teen Terrors with our puppy chihuahua and also had a one to one session for our older terrier cross who has struggled with anxiety/reactivity over the years. Both me and my husband felt so much more confident after working with Jo. She really understands and cares for dogs. We learnt about lead handling and how to use body language to stay connected with your dog. We learnt about the importance of play and giving your dog choices. And we focussed on setting our dogs up for success - choosing the right environment for a walk, eliminating stress etc. We're all now feeling positive and ready to go!”

“After being let down at the last moment Adrian & Caroline kindly took us and our little dogs in. What an amazing hosts! The room was great with lots blankets and towels for the dogs and a little garden. The breakfast was great. Would highly recommend.”

“Had a great overnight stay here while on a golfing weekend away with our golf society. The single room was very good for a one night stay and the location was superb for the local nightlife. The full English breakfast with poached eggs and a pot of tea was superb and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend”

“The team at Donaldson’s have been totally brilliant with my young working border collie’s recent paw injury. Pip was in pain and very scared and so difficult to deal with but at every stage this was worked around and managed brilliantly. All vets and nurses were so thorough, professional and kind, and Pip was treat like a VIP. Communication was great, a CT scan and surgery were arranged really quickly, any questions, concerns and needs acted on straightaway, and everything possible was done to minimise stress and handling. The surgery was precise and fully successful, post-op bandaging was particularly impressive and didn’t move a millimeter despite his ... energy levels! Pip is recovering super well, back loving life in the fast lane. Huge thanks for helping my crazy boy. ”

“The food here is exceptionally good. It’s classic gastropub fare, but made with high-quality ingredients and cooked perfectly. Beautifully presented too, with great service and a lovely atmosphere. I didn’t love the vibe upstairs—it felt a bit flat—so I’d recommend asking for a table downstairs to enjoy the open fire, the beautiful architecture, and the buzz.”

“We found this pub by chance when staying in the area during the August bank holiday weekend, they managed to squeeze us in last minute and so glad they did, we all ate something different and each meal was delicious Not only was the food lush the service was great too, all the staff were super friendly and helpful, quite clearly genuinely enjoy working there, we enjoyed it so much we went again the following evening, again all had something different and again the food was great . Really tastes great and home cooked and cooked well. I believe my dad will be talking about the steak and ale pie for EVER and my mum the chips Unfortunately I only took one photo, this is the beef lasagne, my meal from our first visit 100% recommended, my only regret is we didn’t go back for the Sunday roast, we went somewhere else in the area that had been recommended ! That’s a separate and less complimentary review”

“When our dog sustained an injury recently we needed to visit the vet’s. The whole experience and process of initial urgent appointment to being referred onto a specialist hospital for surgery was excellent. All staff were compassionate and caring to us as owners and to our dog. Communication was brilliant in all aspects of explaining the injury, costings and the referral process for getting specialist treatment”

“I met Tony on the front desk and wow was he lovely and chatty, making me feel so at ease with the whole cattery process (as a first time cat owner). My cat spent 5 nights at Cherry Tree and came home relaxed and settled, which is a huge achievement! Obviously our cat missed us and was clingy for a few days, but they kept her routine and she was very well looked after. I'll definitely be coming back to such a lovely family run business. Reception staff are always polite, friendly and helpful. Booking appointments quick, easy and they respond to issues raised speedily. Staff involved with insurance claims via Vetsure are the quickest we have experienced. All of the vets are friendly, professional and put the owners at ease. Everything is explained throughly regarding treatment plan and costs. Throughly recommended.”
