“Really great food served by friendly people in a lovely setting. Definitely going back.”
“The soup was warm, flavorful, and deeply comforting.”
“Absolutely stunning food, not sure what the older reviews are all about but i just had a cracking meal, super nice fairplay. I would definitely come back. Beer is great aswel with local ale on offer, some top lagers aswel, and with the thatchers factory a few miles up the road theres a great range of at least 4 different ciders offer, just lovely pub grub, really nice.”
“Very good service from the staff on duty. Food on the menu was tasty. Dogs allowed in bistro.”
“Had my first Cafe Rouge breakfast here today. Food was great and had a perfect Mocha to go with it. My server Zoe was also fantastic. She was really friendly, quick service and very welcoming. Which is blooming impressive for first thing in the morning. Well certainly be back.”
“OMG. The best meal and the best experience ever for an amazing meal. The chef, Gordon Jones, is open, fun and super talented. The courses are ever changing and a surprise when you show up. Only after the meal is complete so you get a copy of the menu. It’s expensive but worth it.”
“Authentically french! Stunning food and the staff are all very friendly. I got the confit duck which was incredible. We also shared pates to start. They fill up quick here so definitely book ahead!”
“Staple Hill's best kept secret. No pretentious frills, just great tasting food in a chilled friendly space. All the tapas we tried were incredibly tasty, served fresh and hot. The cod and asparagus was sublime, just cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and attentive, definitely has a family run feel. Highly recommended.”
“Absolutely delicious food. Their Sunday roast is the best I've ever had. Their desserts are amazing. I would highly recommend this family run restaurant to anyone. Reserving a table is advisable.”
“Yesterday I went for lunch with my family to Bouvardia Restaurant for Sunday dinner. The decor was beautiful, it felt very peaceful there. The waiters were very polite and friendly and gave us recommendations. We were delighted the quality of the food (was told they use local produce and the menu that changes with the seasons) - my son said the beef ravioli was so good that he wants to come and have it everyday! The chicken was one of the most tender and tastiest I have had in a very long time Half way through our meal we were already saying we need to come back for dinner to try the regular menu! Quite surprised most people we told about have not heard about it, a true hidden gem in Bath!”
“Delicious food in this cosy venue! Had high expectations based on the reviews I'd seen and this definitely lived up to them. The main downside was we were too full to order more dishes! The mushrooms were a highlight, perfectly crispy without being oily. Nice cocktails too.”
“I went to Wilson’s yesterday evening for my birthday And the staff were phenomenal! So lovely, friendly, funny and knowledgeable. The food and wine pairings were excellent, can’t wait to return!”
“It's hard not to love this place. It's very charming, the menu changes on a daily basis, the quality of the cooking is good, it has interesting dishes on the menu including lots of options for those who are vegetarians and the prices are very reasonable. We enjoyed our lunch although not everything was absolutely perfect. The star dish was the chicken thighs with gnocchi, it was tasty and well balanced. The mussels were excellent, high quality ingredient which was perfectly cooked and well seasoned but needed something else to go with it, like chips or a good sourdough that can soak up the lovely sauce. The trout was lovely but came on a bed of salad that wasn't as good as the fish. There were no side dishes on the menu which was a shame. We will definitely return to try again on another day and a different menu. The locals love this place and I can understand why.”
“Rooted is an all around incredible place for food, the menu is super creative and full of choice! However! Their vegan roast is literally the best roast I’ve had in Bath, and I’d go as far as to say the best roast in the South West, get one, you won’t be disappointed ❤️”
“Beautiful spot with amazing food and service. The river view is so relaxing, and it’s tucked away from the busy part of Bath - such a hidden gem for brunch. Highly recommend! This restaurant truly made our day during our visit to Bath.”
“The experience at Zen Thai is incredible. We come most years on our annual trip to Somerset and the food is just outstanding. The service is also incredible, from everyone there but particularly Spencer. You really feel like there is real effort and care put into everything.”
“We had a truly exceptional dining exeperience. It was our anniversary dinner, my husband requested we have a glass of sparkling wine upon arrival which was very kindly prepared for us. The occassion was acknowledged throughout our meal, with a “happy anniversary” message on our dessert plates. Such a lovely touch. Staff were incredibly friendly and knowleadgeble, we felt very well looked after. We started with the selection of breads with soft basil butter. It was a great variety of fresh bread and breadsticks. We both had the scallops for our starters, a nice mix of well balanced flavours and excellent nduja! The mains (duck, venison) were perfectly cooked medium rare with lovely sauces and flavours. The only item we would skip next were the confit potatoes, which unfortunately were undercooked and did not have much of a taste to them. Our desserts were a tiramisu and the pistachio eggnog mousse, both perfectly light and not too sweet but well balanced. We finished our meal with limoncello (as you do). Everything was top quality and full of flavour. The wine selection was interesting, great variety especially on the bottled special wine list, with very reasonable prices. We went with their recommendations for each meal and the pairings they suggested were great. The restaurant is on the smaller side and the table we were seated was on the smaller end, however this did not take away from the enjoyment. We could tell how serious they take their food, service and customers. The restaurant is expensive but you get what you pay for. We can’t wait to be back.”
“Bolted on to the side of St Stephen’s church it looks like a soup kitchen. Don’t let this fool you. It is “little Spain!” Don’t miss this authenticity food. The best tortilla, huevos and the best Burnt Basque cheesecake that you will ever taste. We will be back.”
“Well, what a restaurant. I would implore you to visit. The food is fabulous. More importantly the service is wonderful. We came for lunch and spent nearly 2 hours talking to the owners and staff ans more importantly tasting lovely food. At £35 for 3 courses, an absolute steal.”
“Fantastic food, good service. The chef was saying about making corned beef hash and bubble and squeak (with a mushroom, tomato and poached egg topping). I was very happy and can't wait to go back.”
“Absolutely divine food and fantastic service. Definitely recommend the 5 course tasting experience.”
“Excellent place for a meal or cake, breakfast is outstanding and the Ice Slices are the very best I've ever had! Delicious food, friendly staff and beautiful location. Highly recommended!”
“We recently celebrated my partner's 50th birthday with an unforgettable private dining experience, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was impeccable. The food was simply divine. The meatball starter was nothing short of *orgasmic*—evidenced by the appreciative noises around the table, just packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The chicken main was tender, juicy, and bursting with deliciousness, while the coffee Panna Cotta was a decadent dessert to die for, with the perfect balance of sweetness and texture. The drinks flowed seamlessly all night, keeping everyone in high spirits, but what really made the evening special was the chef. Not only was the food outstanding, but the chef himself was a true character—engaging, entertaining, and brought a fun, personal touch to the whole evening. It was an evening of amazing food, great drinks, and endless laughter, and we couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate such a milestone. Highly recommend for anyone looking to create a memorable dining experience with friends and family!”

“We had accidentally booked for the wrong day and they were very accommodating considering our mistake............I will say, it was Absolutely stunning. The food was incredible and the service was top notch. It wasn't cheap but then we didn't expect it to be considering how beautiful the food was. Was lovely to actually be able to talk to the chef himself and was very approachable. Thankyou for an unforgettable experience!!! Darren and Sarah”
“Loved the experience. The menu is carefully crafted and very interesting. I particularly appreciated the breadth of gluten free and GFOA options. Staff is kind and accommodating. A must-visit when in Bath :)”
“We went today at Jars Meze and this place is amazing, is now my favorite Greek restaurant! The food is absolutely amazing and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. Can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes on the menu. I highly recommend Jars Meze ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
