“I joined the Joint Pain programme 6 months ago and found it very beneficial. All staff were extremely helpful. The class leader was very patient and pleasant, the physiotherapist was excellent and I appreciated the fact that he accompanied me to the gym, giving reassurance that I was doing things that would not be harmful. I found the cafe very convenient and reasonably priced. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere with Freddie and all those on duty made the whole exercise experience a pleasure and one to be continued.”

“Always manage to get an appointment here, and sometimes even on the day! If I get an appointment a week or so in advance, I would also receive a reminder text the day before. I'm also glad that they open till late for those of us that work on-site full time.”

“Got referred for various tests due to ongoing ill health due to Medical malpractice/negligence at the hands of NHS Forth Valley Mental health dept, seen Respiratory surgeon, ENT surgeon, Neurologist & a Neurosurgeon - tests such as Nasal Endoscopy, EMG & Nerve conduction tests. The Neuroseurgeon also referred me for a brain, neck & shoulders MRI scan at the other Spire hospital in Edinburgh Murrayfield, fast, not long waiting times, good communications etc. The NHS is totally destroyed in Scotland & is not fit for purpose.”

“I’ve had four recent visits to Carmondean Medical Group and telephone appointment to discuss my results and each time the care has been outstanding. The first time, I called around 8:15 a.m. with some symptoms I’d had for a day or two. I expected to see a DN, but the receptionist advised I’d need to see a doctor instead. I was given a same-day appointment for 10:30 a.m. with Dr. Newell, who was amazing—so kind and thorough. I got my prescription, and everything was handled efficiently. A few days later, the pain was still there. I called again, got seen quickly, and my prescription was changed. During my follow-up, I was supported every step of the way. Unfortunately, I later had an allergic reaction and was struggling to breathe. I called around 5 p.m. and got a quick call back from a doctor, who asked me to come in for a 5:30 appointment. This time I saw Dr. Gray, who was also lovely and reassuring. The entire team—from the receptionists to the nurses and doctors—has been fantastic. After some difficult experiences with other practices in the past, Carmondean Medical Group truly stands out. You all deserve 5 stars. Thank you for everything!”

“Been a member for many years and can’t fault Nuffield Fountain Park. Excellent facilities and really friendly staff. Decent size pool, well equipped gym and regular classes. The health club is run very efficiently by management who are always responsive to any concerns / issues. Very relaxed atmosphere and always look forward to my visit. Big shout out to Manya and Leandro for your excellent customer service, friendliness and warm welcomes every time I visit. The freshly squeezed orange juice from the cafe is amazing. Keep up the good work all and well done.”

“In general, great store, spacious, with a wide range of variety and often at a competitive price, better than Tesco or Morrison's. Always get some great bargains even at George's. Never had an issue with self-service, the staff are helpful, too. Especially like the bakery section, where you can get tasty, fresh, palm-free products. Great they still have a sanitary station! My only issue is lack of goat's yoghurt for the third time, shame I keep having to go back to Tesco for this one item. Also, disabled toilet is always locked. Finally, the trolleys are hard to push except for the plastic ones, but they need a pound coin.”

“Fantastic experience. I went into the Edinburgh store with my heavily pregnant wife and the (soon to be) grandparents. We were served by Kayla who was absolutely wonderful, she was knowledgeable and made the whole experience both fun and interesting. We were only going to buy a pram but will now be buying the rest of our baby items from here too based on this experience.”

“Had to rush my partner to A&E yesterday (kidney stones). The staff genuinely could not have been nicer, the wait wasn’t as bad as everyone tends to say it is. We arrived at 1am on a Friday night and were in a ward by around 3 after he had his bloods drawn, initial assessment etc. staff were so kind getting us whatever we needed.”

“I’m a new patient with the surgery and just wanted to say how friendly and helpful everyone has been, particularly the nursing staff, one of whom spotted a potential error in the medication I’d been prescribed by my old practice in Nottingham. I wasn’t able to get on the list at my nearest surgery in Portobello but Durham Road took me on immediately and also gave me a super fast appointment to see the nurse as I was out of medication following my house move and unable to get another prescription without seeing a practitioner in Scotland. Appointment sorted for the following day and a prescription raised so I didn’t run out. It’s been straightforward to secure an appointment and the staff have been very friendly and helpful. I don’t go to the doctors much as a rule but this surgery is probably the most efficient and proactive I’ve come across - and I’ve moved a lot over the years. It’s a shame to see earlier bad reviews and I’m sorry others feel that way but it absolutely hasn’t been my experience to date and I’d like to say a public thank you to the team. It’s not an easy job and it’s often thankless but for what it’s worth, I think you’re all great.”

“On my last review on a different email address, this practice requested, I remove my review and callled me slanderious. I have reflected using: my private health reports, legal statute, my experiences, my learning by experiences, my ongoing physical body appearance, this medical practice communicaion to me, my daily suffering ignored past NHS health stuff removed without assessment, NHS diagnosises untreated in decline, the innaccurate information detailed to me by staff here in letters, the false accusations towards me and health without hands on assessment or scans and my ongoing suffeirng and PTSD by NHS and physical health decline. I have concluded by considering and re:evaluating above, that staff accusing me of being slanderous IS there FURTHER DEFERMATION OF CHARACTER towards me & bullying, in them suggesting I was slanderious and it is further INVALIDATION to my feelings and experiences and so a wrong harmful statement. I therfore politly, request that the pactice remove such accussation of me "slanderious" as it is character defermation towards me. Failure to remove it, I will flag it, to my legal evidence as another "GDPR" breach of innacurate information on me and character deformation, calling me slanderous - I here exercise GDPR - "Right to Rectification" on there harmful & INACCURATE commnet accusing of me of slander to conceal truth and attempts to further inintimide me and increase smear campaign regarding me and bullying and character defermation. My previous post therfore will NOT be removed. I uphold my beliefs due to evidence, legal statute and feelings inflicted by experiences. Please note: No repsonse will be read or replied to., by this practice. They can seek legal action, if they still insist I was slanderous, but I will not change my belief based on evidence on above and my own feelings. I will not be in further communication with this practice, even though I am unfortunatly, still a regestered patient, as cannot regester in my local area, by past failure now a GMC case, they know that but refuse it true. This practice can refer to challenging Behaviour Practice, with a case against me, remove me from their list and/or request legal action against me, but they do not come near me themself for the harm they inflict upon me. “Sectioned twice in 1973 - dreadful experience but three years ago in 2023 I was admitted to Eden Ward a revolutionary experience so much has changed, Spiritual centre, music therapy, craft group, excellent staff given the potentially stressful situations on the ward. Eden Ward was exactly that the Garden of Eden built round a cloister with raised beds, trees and benches for the patients to to enjoy the sun. The only fault I could find were the cigarette butts left on the ground a revolting disrespectful habit in such a beautiful place. The staff were generally speaking very caring and compassionate, some youngsters working and also training. The Consultant was very busy and it was difficult to have an appointment to see him but all in all a rewarding experience..”

“I appreciate the negative reviews and I have read several. I may be fortunate.. But I have used the practice since October 2023 and have found the staff with the odd exception to be really nice and helpful. When dealing with members of the public, it can be a very stressful time - patient and staff members. But when the Scottish Government are attempting to run the NHS with Lemon Money and are delusional in thinking that it does not need Champagne Money - neither wonder the Country is in such a run down state.”
