“Stayed the night as a guest for a wedding that took place at the castle. Gorgeous venue with plenty of history. Spent the evening chatting with other wedding guests in the library bar which was cozy and beautiful. In the morning we went for a stroll out on the grounds which we really enjoyed. Had fun observing the ponies who were grazing in the paddock. Staff were overall very nice. Lovely stay.”

“We enjoyed a wonderful tea in the bistro today following my mother's funeral. We received so many comments on the generosity of portions and lovely fresh food on offer from everyone who attended the tea. The food was delicious and obviously lovingly prepared and the serving staff were very attentive and very friendly. Well done to all!!!”

“Just got back from an excellent weekend away in Edinburgh and this hotel certainly added to the experience. The staff are extremely friendly, polite and welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic and really sets you up for the day. We didn’t have any problems whilst we were there but I’m pretty confident that had we had one it would have been quickly resolved. “This place welcomed me when I left my home country forever, moving there as a student. I found there a place of solace, a place to make friends, a place with good facilities, good management with a plan, organised and nice staff. The place runs well, it is conveniently located within the city and many leisure and culture venues: plus the nice peaceful outings to Calton Hill in the vicinity, top of Leith and Leith Walk pubs to hang out with friends, proximity to tram and train station, yoga places and GP’s. Staff not only good professionals, but also friends at the who helped me transition to the industry life. I cannot stress enough how much I recommend this place. There are common spaces and regularly events were organised to meet up the other mates.”

“We arrived Thursday 06/11/25 for a wedding on 07/11/25 departing Saturday 08/11/25 we arrived about 2.30pm and check in was so easy and receptions very helpful I have mobility issues and when I asked if I could get assistance with my luggage up to our room it was not a problem. We had a late brunch and it was excellent the turnip soup was excellent as was the Brie cheese, my granddaughter joined us for dinner at 7pm and again all meals were excellent served piping hot I can highly recommend the Thai vegetable curry, all the staff were very attentive and polite nothing was to much bother this service continued to our departure. We were in room 7 it was large with a king size bed and a modern bathroom. I would highly recommend a stay at The Stair Arms hotel. Thanks to everyone”

“We stayed here in July and had a gorgeous room overlooking the pocket park and garden across the street. Parking was easy, there were 2 restaurants, and the bathtub was ample. All this would have led to a positive review but hotel staff went above and beyond. I left a valuable piece of jewelry behind and they shipped it overseas for me. Excellent service - highly recommend!”

“Finally got to use a voucher received last Christmas and it was worth the wait. The whole experience was excellent. We had lunch in the bar. All of the staff were very attemtive and seemed genuinely happy to help. Both mains were well received, and the sticky toffee pudding was divine. We wont leave it so long to make another visit!”

“We arrived at the torfin earlier than expected and the owner lindsey was so accommodating, the check in was smooth and seamless. The room is very stylish and cozy, but the best part was the soothing, most relaxing and roomy rainfall shower!! We ate dinner at the restaurant here, the croquettes and corn ribs are to die for we ordered 3 rounds. The fish and chips and pan seared sea bass was delicious! Katie our server made sure to check on us and provided great service! Delicious food, friendly staff, totally recommend!”

“Great accommodation place in Edinburgh. I booked a regular room but I was upgraded to the Gatehouse and was even greater. The breakfast is excellent and very large. Walking distance to the historic center (for European walking standards) and just by the conference place I was attending.”

“What a pleasant stay! The staff were lovely, the room was spacious, clean and well appointed, particularly the bathroom! The hotel is located a 15 minute walk away from town centre, so it's great if you don't mind a walk. It means the local area is quiet compared to staying in town centre. Would definitely stay again!”

“I stayed at Adagio Aparthotel for three nights and had a great experience. The staff were super friendly and helpful, both at check-in/check-out and whenever I had questions. The location is unbeatable – walking distance from the train station and from the airport bus stop, which made everything very convenient. “Such a beautiful location. We had the castle view and it was awesome! But what made our trip was the front desk - Alasdair! My mother and I loved him. He is very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and we always hoped he was at the front desk when we came by. We will book again just for him because he truly loves his job/Edinburgh and you feel it from the moment he greets you!”

“Really liked our 3 nt stay here. The place is dated but that adds to the charm of it. The location is really good and only a short walk to the centre of town. Breakfast is available (not a cooked breakfast) but you can get cereals, bars, smoothies and other small items up to 15 items per person delivered to your door each morning using a tick sheet you leave downstairs with coffee available downstairs. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy staying here again.”

“Stayed at the hotel from September 16-18, the duty manager, and all staff were so wonderful. When we checked out I was waiting for my partner to grab the car and sitting with my bags and the duty manager went and grabbed me a coffee. Room was clean and comfortable, spa was great. Highly recommend”

“My wife and kids were here today for a lunch my wife and I both enjoyed the Xmas menu just wow food was amazing with very fair portions and very extremely tasty high quality food I'm a big lad I'd suggest maybe 2 or 3 pigs in blankets and 2 Yorkie pudding but that's just me and have a good appetite but as I did say very fair portion for the price our servers Willie and didnt get the lady's name blonde hair very polite we couldn't have asked for better staff today keep it up folks it's not our first time here and certainly won't be our last have a great Xmas and happy new year”

“We loved the room, it was very spacious, spotless clean and comfy. High standard. We were positively surprised by the size of the room. Tea, coffe and a kettle and treats in the room was a nice touch. However the best was the amazing owners who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well taken care of. We would definitely like to visit this place again and highly recommend it!”

“We stayed in the Rosehall Hotel for a week and we really liked Our stay here. The Hotel is located quite central, you can take several buses and be in Edinburgh oldtown in like 10 Minutes. But the Dalkeith Road in itself is very quiet. The house is a Nice old (victorian?) building with original architectual elements that are complimented by the newer Addition to the interior. The Hotel is Not your cookie-cutter modern Business hotel but a cozy historic and personal place to stay. The Service was always Nice and helpfull, Our room was very cozy and the Breakfast was simple, cheap and tasty. We would stay here again :) Cheers from Hamburg, Germany”
