“First visit to the Maldron or the group and was impressed by the experience. Staff were all first class, communicative and industrious with a pleasant demeanour. Quality of finishings was excellent, very comfortable bed and very clean room and public areas. Breakfast selection was as expected, was regularly refreshed and plenty available. “Fabulous location! Right within 5-10 minute walking distance to shopping, theater, and tons of pubs and restaurants. One of my favorite things about this hotel is they have a couple of filtered water stations to fill up your bottles. It’s a small thing with a huge and welcomed convenience while traveling. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.”

“Had a fantastic stay here! - Check in was really easy even when we were hit with a slight issue. It was sorted swiftly and easily with plenty of help! - All the staff we encountered and interacted with were kind, accommodating, friendly and really made me (a person with severe anxiety) feel at ease! - the living space was a relaxed atmosphere and comfortable, great place to chill if you don’t want to be confined to your room. - The rooms are small but all the space is utilised perfectly! Everything is controlled via the hotel iPad or the app on your phone which makes it feel so fun and exciting. - The bed was huge and unbelievably comfortable with spare pillows available in the drawer. My partner who sleeps terribly in hotels, slept like an absolute log. I’ve never known her to sleep so well away from home! - Breakfast was delicious, I was especially a fan of the scrambled egg. I can also vouch for the mochas - the perfect temperature and coffee to chocolate ratio. - everything was lovely and quiet, we even had construction going on outside our bedroom window and we didn’t hear a sound from them. What I will say is if you do plan to come here with someone else, make sure it’s someone your comfortable with because, while not crystal clear, the shower has frosted glass so you can see a relatively clear silhouette of whoever is showering. And the only negatives I can say is the water temperature was a little hard to manage at times but it wasn’t anything scandalous and one of the lifts wasn’t working which was completely fine but definitely slowed things down a smidge. But honestly none of these things negatively impacted my stay so I maintain my 5 stars. We will be back!”

“I stayed as a solo business traveller on the 22 - 24 October and was very pleasantly surprised by how friendly the young staff were from the reception desk to the bar and restaurant. They went above and beyond to have a chat, hold my bags, direct me to bus stops. etc. They were genuinely warm and welcoming and made it feel like a four star experience. The bar and lounge area are very comfortable for a business traveller looking to do some work while having a drink or bite to eat. It's a cosy environment and the veggie burger was quite tasty and generous. While the rooms are a bit basic, the bathrooms are well maintained and the friendliness of the staff and downstairs bar area more than made up for that. I would definitely return again - thanks all.”

“My parents recently celebrated their Diamond Wedding anniversary back at The Parkville. This was their wedding venue 60yrs ago. They had a beautiful lunch on October 20th with family and everyone was so kind and made everyone feel really special. All the staff really looked after my parents and showed a real interest in their wedding memories. Food was excellent and consensus was that the lunch was just as good or perhaps even better than the wedding meal 60yrs ago! Special thanks to Lynne who went above and beyond to make my parents Diamond Wedding celebrations, a real gem of an occasion. Thank you.”

“Came to Angels last week with my daughter and husband for breakfast. Was served by Ola and wow what a service. She was very attentive, kind and took the time to speak with myself and my daughter, who is four. What a lovely, kind woman and this is the reason I’ll be back. “Wholeheartedly recommend this place - I would always come here every time I visit Glasgow. I’ve been dining here since around 2017 (less so after moving away from Glasgow) and this is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in the UK. The owners have changed for several times and my most recent visit was in August 2024, but in my opinion, their standards haven’t dropped, contrary to some of the other reviews. Their Cantonese roast dishes are a must try - they are one of the best in the country in my opinion, and you would be hard pressed to find considerably better quality Cantonese roast dishes elsewhere. Other Cantonese dishes are also delicious and are highly recommended. I would specifically recommend their salt and chilli chicken wings - although not a Cantonese dish and also not a dish I would normally order elsewhere, but there’s something special they do to the coating of the wings that would make these irresistibly crispy and juicy. Having said that, please don’t order any Szechuan dishes here if you can help it - these are not what they specialise here, and you will be disappointed. They also serve free soup and pudding (they taste much better partly because they were free), but only for dinner, subject to availabilities.”

“Really great experience! Food was fresh, delicious, and different from your typical fare - exactly what we were looking for. The service was friendly and quick, and there was a nice atmosphere. Plus, the pickles were genuine sour pickles (none of those sweet pickle disasters!). Highly recommend.”
