“I have been using this gym since I was 16 years old. I am now 24 and could not recommend it more. It is the loveliest environment with a fantastic staff who are all without fail welcoming, well-informed and professional. Whether you are starting out going to the gym for the first time or are a seasoned fitness enthusiast, this place has everything you need. The gym equipment is in excellent condition and everything is always clean. Recently the gym has invested a lot in new equipment and has expanded the gym adding in an entire room with smart exercise equipment. The 25 metre pool is a fantastic resource for swimmers; again, clean and well maintained. The sauna and steam room are a great addition too. The best part of this gym is without doubt the community. There are a lot of regulars and it is not only a great place to work out, but also to socialise. I have met some close friends here - people who I would not have met otherwise and I am very thankful for this. It is a great place overall and as a seasoned member of Chiswick New Pool I highly recommend it.”

“I engaged London Swimming Pool Company to refit a bespoke hot tub/spa that had been pre-installed at my property. Joe provided a free quote to get it working again whereas other companies had simply wanted to charge to come out only to then try to sell me a new hot tub. Joe and Matt were extremely helpful, professional and courteous in doing the work and the hot tub is now working as new. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company.”

“What can I say its original 1930s style..no changing rooms,no lockers or private showers..pool side changing small shallow pool. Very murky with bad taste water..but staff and customers very friendly. Pool side showers were good Love it ..it's unique!!!@@@”

“I went here for the first time, for some women-only swimming time. I went swimming when I was younger, so I thought it would be a piece of cake. Well, needless to say, I almost drowned. A wonderful lifeguard, quite frankly rescued me, from what otherwise would've been a complete disaster. I am INCREDIBLY grateful to her and the other lifeguard, who taught me a few swimming tips. I will be taking swimming classes, starting next week, but I'd like to give a huge thank you to the staff here- THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤️❤️”

“The cheapest Gym in Ware by far, the £20 monthly charge at the moment is amazing value (Normally £26pm) this includes swim and gym, if I use it once a week its still cheaper than pay as you go. Swimming is available some nights and all weekend but gym available every day, its not the most up to date and doesn't have much equipment but has everything I need. The Active app is also great with loads of online work out classes.”

“Swim every week with my son & have a second fun trip to the leisure pool too when I've time. There's a sauna next to the main (competition) pool. Plenty of showers - cubicle & open. Clean changing rooms. Entry is very reasonable. You need a returnable £1 coin for lockers. Nice cafe.”

“I have been a member of this gym and swimming pool since 2016, and over the years, I have had a great experience both as a gym user and a former lifeguard. Even after leaving my lifeguard position, I continue to train here regularly, which speaks to the quality and atmosphere of the facility. The staff is helpful and professional, and the overall environment makes it a great place to train. Over the years, I have seen some positive improvements, and I appreciate the effort put into maintaining the facility.”

“Great local amenity with a 33.3 meter indoor pool (for those with confused fitness trackers) a smaller outdoor pool and teaching pool for kids, it is now kept clean and well maintained considering it is a public pool. The swimming changing facilities have been upgraded, and they offer great showers in a clean area. While the gym is a bit tired, there are plans for renovations and upgrades. The reception staff are friendly and have a great sense of humour, especially considering some of the flak they get from a handful of grumpy visitors. Parking is pricey, so public transport is the best way to go. Simple booking system, so book in advance or phone if you want to be sure to get a swim. Limited spaces which makes it much easier for lane swimming. 250 capacity for swim and stay sessions in outdoor pool, so check weather and book on sunny day.”

“Fantastic Swimming Pool. Staff are really friendly and helpful. The front desk is so welcoming to customers. Lifeguards are always on hand to help and make all the customers feel welcome.”

“Fulham (public) Pools has a separate entrance to the (private) Virgin Active Health Club, although both are operated by Virgin. This leisure centre has a 25m eight lane gala swimming pool, a children's teaching swimming pool, three adult and two children's all weather tennis courts, and a public gym. The swim school staff are great, especially Joanna who was an absolute pleasure to deal with when arranging swim lessons. Her communication, knowledge and her interaction with the kids for the assessments were superb. There's a separate smaller pool for lessons for the younger children and viewing areas for both pools. The change rooms and lockers are fine but be extremely cautious with belongings. Staff at reception are not vigilant and far too lax with people entering. I saw a guy allowed entry to use the toilets and he left with a bottle of wine under his arm. Nothing staff could do apparently.. remember to bring 20p for the lockers!”

“The staff are really friendly, and the place is really clean. I don't get why some people complain that it's not spotless 24/7, but keep in mind that not all members there have common sense to clean up after themselves, then times that by loads of other members that do the same, and the cleaners won't be able to keep up obviously. If the members were more respectful and not acting like children, then yes, the place would be always be spotless. Their website is a bit outdated and needs a big update, but that's not to blame on the staff behind the desk, probability to do with the council... So far this is the best gym I've been to, even if they have less equipments than places like Pure Gym or The Gym, it's way less crowded than there and the machines are quality too.”

“Stella’s baby swimming classes are amazing! My wife was scared to take the baby so I joined for the first class and we were both quickly reassured by Stella’s professionalism, gentle pacing for the babies and calm presence. My wife says she comes back from the classes feeling more relaxed and my baby is learning life long essential skills with water. Thank you Stella!”

“Swim weekly at this pool. Since being taken over by Better in January 2024, the staff, upkeep and management of the pool has really improved. There are more times to swim, the pool is a good temperature, and the facilities during the day are very clean and tidy. Changing rooms recently repainted and repairs always taking place, which is very different to previous management by Fusion. The staff are friendly and reliable, and there’s a community of regulars. It’s an old pool but very welcoming and suits me perfectly. My child also has swimming lessons here and it’s a delight seeing her progress from a splashy mess to a decent back-crawl in nine months - the changing room is dirtier during evening lessons but that’s because parents/carers and children leave their shoes on.”

“Bushy Park is one of those places that feels both vast and welcoming at the same time. The sheer size of the park makes it perfect for long, leisurely walks, cycling, or simply finding a quiet corner to sit and enjoy nature. Families often spread out picnic blankets under the wide-open skies, and it’s easy to see why—it’s peaceful, spacious, and filled with plenty of scenic spots to relax. There are designated kids’ play areas, making it a great spot for little ones to burn off energy, while fishing in certain ponds attracts hobbyists looking for a calm afternoon by the water. Food is available at nearby cafés, so you don’t have to worry if you forget the picnic basket. Altogether, it’s the kind of place where you can easily spend the whole day—whether you’re exploring, relaxing, or just soaking up the calm atmosphere with family and friends.”

“I feel so fortunate to live near such a beautiful place and its amazing to have such a large slice of nature with deer roaming around withing London. Equally beautiful in every season and perfect place for dog walking. Also seems to be better managed in recent years with upgraded cafes, improved signs and traffic control measures.”

“Amazing playground. My family visited on a Friday late afternoon during half term. This place is a melting pot of multinationals, all co-existing peacefully and happily. That is why this part of London is so special”

“Great place for little ones to practice their push bike, scooter or skateboarding skills. You could see kids as little as 3 year olds on their scooters as well as adults on the skate boards. We came early and it was already packed. Still would highly recommend.”

“Absolutely wonderful place for a day out with kids. Not only you get to experience beautiful gardens and architecture, you can enjoy the woodland bit, see baby swans, have a picnic or grab a lovely hot drink and a bone baked muffin from the cafe on the site as well ( Liana’s Cafe in The Courtyard ). Very picturesque and relaxing. Also - a gorgeous wedding venue.”

“Just beautiful. Could have sat here all day. Rickmansworth Aquadrome is just beautiful it has a lovely cafe, toilets, kayaking something for everyone. We found this little spot tucked away. Perfect”
