“Wouldn't leave my animals care to any one else”
“Super friendly, well knowledgeable, flexible in orders and collection times, really love their animals! Highly recommend :)”
“Amazing. If you get the chance book here. Xx Best air bnb in Chesterfield xx”
“Been here a couple times and the women in here are amazing. So helpful and can't do more for you even if they tried. Would recommend this place and keep this local business busy”
“I love this woman. She's so nice and nothing is too much trouble for her, my little pooch is always treated well with plenty of cuddles and treats, he comes out looking and smelling amazing, would recommend her to anyone.”
“Lynne and the team provide an excellent service, the dogs clearly enjoy the experience as seen in the pupdates which are sent on request (being sensible of course with the times of requests). They are dog owners and are very responsible. Only issue is very popular and you need to get you booking in early. Strongly recommend.”
“I had never had a dog that needed grooming before so finding a good one was important to me. I saw Peak Pups ad in our local coffee shop and it came recommended. From the start Laura was and remains fantastic our malshi loves going there for a pampering as it's as if she knows she'll come out looking gorgeous. Laura is always on the end of the phone with after-care advice and help if you need it. Everyone I know who goes to Peak Pups says the same thing , Laura is a lovely lady who cares for her clients and their owners and always makes sure your four legged friend is looked after and looking amazing. Forget any negative reviews they are talking rubbish. I have not been asked to place this review I say it how it is and Laura is the best in the area by a country mile.”
“Wow! What a fantastic gem this is! I went in today with our guide dog puppy in training… he’s 9 months old and hasn’t twigged what his destiny is yet so very excitable! I got chatting with the owner and explained Samson’s situation and wow, he was fantastic! Knew without telling him that Samson needs to be calm with all 4 paws on the floor before he is greeted. Thanks to his calm nature Samson soon calmed down too and even accepted a greet with no jumping up. I really appreciate it because lots of people don’t realise how important it is that we don’t encourage jumping up and it’s a challenge we are working on. I didn’t get to buy anything today but it was full of toys and treats and il definitely be back to support this wonderful shop”
“Great fish and Peter was very helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back!”
“Sabrina very good did a brilliant job on my miniature poodle lovely cut and cleaned her teeth as well. She's got Sunshine approval definitely go again.”
“House Of Waggles is the perfect example of doggy day cares. We set about looking at day cares for our dog when we found out builders would be in and out of the house for a while, we found House of Waggles. We met with Nadia and Phil and they put us right at ease, introducing our boy to all the other dogs in their daily care. Picking him up in the morning and dropping off at night, in their very own school bus. Our boy has never looked back, and neither have we, he's socialised, groomed, walked, trained and cuddled, everything anyone could want for their dog during days at work. Nadia, Phil and the team are committed to the best for these dogs and you can see that as soon as you meet them. I can't credit them enough we get updates, photos of what the dogs get up to, paw-traits, paw paintings and pool party's. And of course helped us with training methods that we can continue at home and if I have any questions they've all been so helpful to us. Thanks House Of Waggles!”

“We chose Heathy Lea as our wedding venue this year and we are so pleased we did so. The location is brilliant and views amazing. Since we first looked around, the team have been so so hospitable and helpful through the whole planning process and helped contribute to a fantastic celebration for the family. We used the accommodation which was perfect and all the guests had a brilliant long weekend exploring the greenery and fresh air. We’d highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the area for a break or hosting an event.”
“This is a very busy but great pharmacy. The pharmacists are lovely, friendly and helpful. The assistants (apart from one - who unfortunately is always brusque and a tad rude/unhelpful) are also approachable, helpful and patient. They always make an effort to get prescriptions completed quickly. The pharmacist often telephones to see how i’m getting along approx a week or so later, if I’ve been prescribed a new medication.”
“My go-to for training toys and natural treats. Service with a smile without doubt, always ready to provide recommendations and great incentives for returning customers. Large variety of brands stocked, but I particularly like the PawsMade items. Show discounts often available in-person as well.”
“A fabulous shop for pet food, pet accessories, bird food, garden supplies and more.”
“I phoned up trying to get a last minute pond liner to finish a job after being let down by another company. I have just had the liner delivered within 2 days of placing the order when other companies were quoting me 15 working days! Fantastic service and friendly personal owner very happy with the service and will use again on future projects!”
“A very long overdue review for Longcourse Cattery who have looked after my cats for a number of years now. This has included an older diabetic cat who required insulin injections twice a day to my current 2 cats who hadn't stayed in a cattery environment until we adopted them a couple of years ago. Sarah, Steve - and now Tom, have been brilliant with them all & have made sure they were happy & settled. The rooms in the cattery are cosy & comfortable with lots of places for them to relax. Regular updates & photos give owners peace of mind & the staff are really flexible around drop off & pick up times which is really appreciated. Highly recommended!!”
“Took my dog Ted a long haired boarder collie for a groom, he came away looking very handsome, they made a fantastic job, would highly recommend.”
“I've been bringing my dog here for years, my dog doesn't like anyone but she loves Harri, and Annie before her. She is well looked after and loved, I get photos and updates and I'm so comfortable leaving her here. Highly reccomend, you'd be hard pressed to find someone who care about animals as much as Harri does”
“With two lively dogs, we knew asking any of our guests to handle them on our wedding day would be far too much — that’s when we found Kate at Bowtiful Walks and Weddings. From start to finish, Kate was absolutely fantastic with our dogs. It was such a relief knowing they were in safe, caring hands and that all their needs were taken care of. She was calm, kind, and so attentive. Despite the terrible rain, she somehow managed to keep them clean, happy, and relaxed — no small feat for a spaniel and a pointer! When it came time for photos, we had fully accepted that we probably wouldn’t get any shots of them actually looking at the camera. But somehow, Kate worked her magic — both dogs sat and posed beautifully! She even took wonderful care of our elderly dog, who sensibly opted out of the excitement. We honestly couldn’t recommend Kate enough. She’s professional, caring, and an absolute lifesaver for any dog parents planning their wedding day.”
“We have just returned home from a lovely 2 night stay at Slate House Farm. We loved it. It’s well situated with plenty of pubs and restaurants locally. The pods are clean and have everything you need. A nice touch was the addition of marshmallows so we could toast them in the fire pit. The views are amazing and the owners couldn’t do enough whilst still not being intrusive. We will definitely be coming back”
“Took our 15year old cat for her claws to be trimmed...they are very friendly and a lovely bunch of girls put cat at ease and would definitely recommend to any one.”
“We loved our stay here! The lady Laura was fantastic as we arrived slightly late as the walk we were on took longer than anticipated, when we rang she told us not to panic and she'd let us in still, and to travel safely which was lovely. The pod was very clean and tidy on arrival, mugs and hot drinks on a little table. The bed was very comfy and there was heating in the pod which made it warm and cosy. I just wished we could have stayed longer here! We will be back!!!”
“We adopted a British bulldog last year from a rescue centre and she was on a raw diet. Since then she became unwell (Not due to the raw meat) and had to be put in a specific food for a few months. I’m happy to say that she is on the mend and we will be returning to continue her on a raw meat diet as instructed by our vets. Staff were very helpful, kind and knowledgeable.”
