“With two lively dogs, we knew asking any of our guests to handle them on our wedding day would be far too much — that’s when we found Kate at Bowtiful Walks and Weddings. From start to finish, Kate was absolutely fantastic with our dogs. It was such a relief knowing they were in safe, caring hands and that all their needs were taken care of. She was calm, kind, and so attentive. Despite the terrible rain, she somehow managed to keep them clean, happy, and relaxed — no small feat for a spaniel and a pointer! When it came time for photos, we had fully accepted that we probably wouldn’t get any shots of them actually looking at the camera. But somehow, Kate worked her magic — both dogs sat and posed beautifully! She even took wonderful care of our elderly dog, who sensibly opted out of the excitement. We honestly couldn’t recommend Kate enough. She’s professional, caring, and an absolute lifesaver for any dog parents planning their wedding day.”

“They fit me in at the last minute for a dog wash. They gave expert advice on the various services they offered and you could pick and mix the services you wanted. Stella came back unphased despite it being her first proper dog wash and dry. She was fluffy and smelled lovely. Thanks Staveley Dog Wash.”

“Regularly buy bird food from here. Good prices for high quality (no waste) seed, nuts, meal worms, etc. Affordable prices for long-lasting quality products. I have many decorative plastic planters from here in the garden that have lasted years and years and still look brand new. Also holds a trove of DIY tools, fittings, random parts, and spares. Generally, if you want something random, they've got it in stock (somewhere!), or they've got an alternative that works just as well or better. Staff are friendly and helpful and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend over b&q, wickes, etc, for household DIY”

“We used Hickingwood boarding services for our cats for many years, both cats always settled in well and been looked after well by the lady. A trustworthy and reliable cattery.”

“My partner and I have just had our wedding ceremony and party at the Bateman's mill, I must say, everything set up absolutely perfectly, we even had a huge hog roast on the spit, the function room set up was planned perfectly with space for the singers and room to shake the tail feather. Great choice of drinks to suit everyone my person favourite being the Boston American gentleman and a good choice of spirits and soft drinks . “I’ve booked many cruises with Bolsover and always been very happy and impressed. Admittedly I’m a control freak and think I’m better off organising everything myself but on this occasion I am wrong and will always happily leave things to Bolsover. “Highly recommend this place. I’ve tried a few places for treats for my dog which have been okay but I found this one to be the best . Wonderful selection at great prices. My dog loves everything really excellent quality items. I’ve been buying now for a few months and I’m ever so glad to have found this place. I won’t be using anywhere else from now on. They even do wonderful subscription boxes that you can receive monthly. Definitely recommend this for any dog.”

“Due tonlockdowm my Newfoundland was in a bit of a state and i took him for the first time to Anne at hounds grooming. My dog is lovely but can be difficult due to him being 68kg and yet her positive approach meant that not only has he never looked better but he came back to me happy with a big wag and a smile. He's never looked better and I would recommmend to anyone”

“I visited early evening to the Clowne store with a long list of items due to me moving house. The store was fairly busy but not crowded. Every member of staff that I dealt with was very friendly an helpful and to cap it all every item was in stock. I akso remembered other things that I needed and they were all available as well. First class.”

“Dunston Lodge were great. I had to find a short term stay for my dog at the last minute due to a funeral. Richard and his team were able to fit my dog in and were incredibly reassuring throughout the process as it was my dogs first time staying. He showed me the kennels and areas my dog would be staying and outlined the daily routines. My dog came back pampered, healthy and happy. Lovely spot and I'll visit again!”

“Stayed at the Hasland as doing a training course in the area , couldn't fault the place at all , rooms clean , people lovely especially Debbie and the other lady I think her name was shirley , the pork pie and pickles from the bar were excellent . Definently be back Thank you for a lovely stay .”
