“Was treated by my mum to an Eid meal here and it was most defo worth it. The server was so polite and attentive. Food was delicious. Defo recommend the prawn platter. Also had the Sunday lunch and ribeye steak with mash, garlic mushrooms and Coleslaw. Cannot fault it. One suggestion is when serving the beef that's already cooked, don't pop it on the grill to sear as it dries out but the food was still an experience. Not too expensive for what it is and the portions aswell. Already arranging my next trip!”

“The hotel and staff were awesome, and the room was spotless, plus the hallway smelled amazing. But, I was bummed that the pool and gym were closed until noon, which was when I had to check out, even though I thought they'd be open. Also, the outlet in my room, 131, didn't work, and some of the furniture needs to be replaced because it's getting old.”

“Location was perfect, 5 mins drive from Hudderfield Private Hospital. Hotel and room very clean and well equipped. The staff, especially Maggie and Sarah were delightful. Very friendly and professional. We had received some unsettling news and needed to get off some urgent emails. They assisted and were extremely helpful and empathetic. Housekeeping were ace too and slipped a courtesy note under our door, would we like our room xleaned, we had forfotten to pop the Do not disturb sign on the door. Ibraham was in attendance behind the bar and he too was a joy. We are returning to the area in the very near future and without doubt this is where we will choose to stay. Entirely exceeded our expectations.”

“We had been out walking yesterday and we popped in here for a drink and ended up staying all night. The outside area is great and pretty at night with the lights. The drinks are reasonably priced and good. We met lots of people we hadn't seen for a long time and had a really fab evening and even though this is not in our area, it is definitely going to be our "go to" pub. Really good music and atmosphere and a fabulous, fun and welcoming new Landlady called Andrea. We will be back!”

Since my oldest dog passed away I took my 1 year old dog Minnie and Scott did her groom, it’s the first time we had met Scott . He did the full works bath,nail clip and groom . Her fur was very over grown and due to her cross breed Jack Russell/pom - she’s not the easiest to get right as she’s part wire haired but also has the fluffy ears and tail of a Pom. When I picked her up I was very pleased with the job he had done! He used a seaweed shampoo which gave her such lovely soft finish to her fur. The way he had trimmed her was perfect . Very vigilant and patient , and he took great care of her and understood her nervous temperament. I highly recommend .”
