The fact this store has a post office in also is great as its even open on a Sunday with the main store, great for the customers, maybe not so good for the staff. “Had pain after a tooth extraction about 4 days later and went to see the emergency dentist. He was very good, made me feel at ease and explained extractions thoroughly and asked a lot of questions! I didn't have a dry socket or an infection thankfully, he just explained it was trauma to the area and jaw, a little perseverance and I will be fine, unlike the dentist that took it out who didn't really go over anything.”

“I have recently registered with Vernon Street Surgery, and had attended my 1st appointment this week, I had a phone call on Saturday morning from a very pleasant lady saying that they had a cancellation on Monday and would I like to attend the appointment as they were aware I needed to see a a GP ( I had spoken with the Pharmacist the day before). I was met with a smile from the receptionist as soon as I walked in even though he was on a call with a patient. My appointment (which was on time I might add) was with Dr McKay, what a fabulous doctor, so approachable, empathetic and warm and I felt listened to, I was very reluctant to change practice, but I am delighted that I did!”

“As a parent I couldn't of found a better dentist for me and my family. We recently had to visit the dentist for an emergency appointment for my son. I was offered an appointment the same day and was dealt with promptly, with no messing around. The dentist we booked in with was not our routine dentist but he was polite and upheld my regular dentist standard of care. We was provided with post aftercare and was booked in with my regular dentist for a follow up appointment. On the follow up appointment i was overwhelmed by the level of care and interest the dentist undertook to provide my son with a "Gold standard treatment plan". I would definitely recommend this dental practice for comprehensive treatment planning and brilliant dental care.”

“Even before the Pandemic, there was a national shortage of GPS and the Park Medical has been no exception. This has been a very stressful time for the NHS. GPS have family’s too that have had Covid and they have still been working at home while looking after them. We now have three surgeries we can go to if we are able. The telephone service does need looking at Its very frustrating to ring at 8 and to get through and then be cut off. Only to wait another hour to be told there are no appointments. Receptionists need to understand that people who are unwell and anxious are not at their best, but also if you’ve had five people in a row complaining that’s hard too. That is their job though and some need a bit more patience. I think that on the whole the surgery is doing their very best. These are not normal times and under abnormal conditions we cannot expect things to be the same ,we all need to be less demanding and I know I’m guilty of that. Hospitals have not been able to function as they did pre Pandemic.so not will other services. Most things can wait a couple of days or so, It is frustrating but things will slowly improve.”

“Delighted and amazed to be able to write this. Barton's pharmacy has over the last few years become a village joke about how terrible it is. So when I was referred by the GP for a consultation my expectations were low..... And utterly wrong! Prompt, polite and professional service. Initially over the phone with an immediate telephone consultation. Then in store for a face to face consultation, prescription being issued and filled. I also noticed similar service to those who were in-store in the (very brief) period I was waiting. Plus the store was clean, well stocked and no longer looking like it was due toclose any second. What a fantastic turn around. To the pharmacist and assistant on duty, bravo. Everything you would want from a village pharmacy.”
