“After being out of the rental market for a long time our experience with Rettie Edinburgh was very good. They dealt with any issues fast and efficiently, and communication was very good. Our contact, Jessica, was very helpful and always had time for us. We would happily recommend them to anyone looking to rent in Edinburgh. And if we had a flat to rent out there they would be our first choice.”
“Staff very welcoming and kind. Food excellent and live music fantastic by Cal!”
“Decided to give this place a try and was not disappointed. The food was delicious. My satay beef was nice and tender with loads of flavour and everything else just tasted fresh and of a better quality than I've had elsewhere. One nice touch was that they poked holes in some of the containers to let the steam out so things like spring rolls and the salt n pepper chicken stayed lovely and crispy. The two people who delivered it were really nice and friendly too. Great food and service all round and we'll definitely be ordering from here again.”
“One of Edinburgh's best kept secrets! Situated on Edinburgh College's Milton Road campus, the delicious meals are cooked and served by students of the college. There may be a bit of a wait or occasional mix ups as the young people are mastering their hospitality journal but any misstep is more than made up for by the quality of the food, the local, seasonal ingredients and the happy atmosphere. A very economical way to experience really good food. The views are really nice too.”
“We placed an order online from the US. Communication was amazing. There was a problem with the fit of my husband's ring. The exchange was amazing. The celtic rings we ordered are gorgeous. Highly recommend!”
“Very nice space for a holiday. Close to Edinburg Castle and shops. Apartment was clean and tidy upon arrival! Would definitely stay again.”
“An excellent lunch at a budget price. All of the food was good — some of it was excellent. A good way to train the next generation of caterers.”
“Wish to thank the staff of 119 for the lovely experience you gave my husband and myself yesterday. The restaurant was opened up early for us and the owner and staff were so kind. The food was amazing, we had the ribeye sharing platter which was cooked to perfection. We will definately be back, once again thank you so much.”
“I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in North Queensferry. The room was amazing — spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable, with a bed that made it hard to get up in the morning. The restaurant was another highlight; the food was truly top-notch and worth every bite. If you can, definitely choose a room with a view of the bridge. It’s absolutely stunning and adds something special to the whole experience. Parking is available, but finding a spot on the weekends can be a bit challenging, so it’s worth keeping that in mind. Aside from that, the staff and service were exactly what you’d expect from a hotel of this brand: professional, attentive, and consistently helpful. Overall, a wonderful stay in a beautiful location.”
“Great food. Service superb. Staff friendly and helpful. Nothing too much bother. Will be back. Would recommend .”
“We only needed a place for an hour before an appointment and came across this lovely place by pure accident. And how fortunate was that. Lovely atmosphere, stunning views, friendly service, possibly the best ever velvet cake and the cinnamon swirls were amazing too, which explains why I ate half of mine before remembering to take a photo! Definitely want to come back with a bit more time to linger & enjoy.”
“What a hidden gem! Fantastic location amazing service and beautiful food. We stopped here with no reservation and had a table for seven made immediately available for breakfast. The food was fantastic, looking out over the river and Misty bridge was just perfect”
“Fantastic place inside with so much to see and try and take in. Staff all truly amazing, food great and lots of drink choices too”
“The food was absolutely delicious! Both the pasta and the risotto were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The dishes came out really fast, and the overall experience was smooth and enjoyable. The service was warm and welcoming — HARIA was especially friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place!”
“I would like to take this opportunity to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Premier Hub in Haymarket. After a few teething issues when I arrived outwith anyone's control. Staff members Jordan and Stefania were indeed extremely helpful in finding me, a nice clean on suite room at short notice. I found all the facilities to be well maintained and clean and the wider access accessibility entery. All in all it made my stay in Edinburgh all the more enjoyable. The aforementioned staff are a credit to the Premier Hub organisation”
“Was last at this establishment 4 years ago. Booked a bigger room, located on the 5th floor, was very quiet and peaceful, the room had a reasonable view over the rooftops. Largely the room was fine, however small matters like the curling wallpaper and stained carpets tainted our overall experience. On a positive note the bed and bathroom were excellent and we had a good and peaceful sleep each night. Continental breakfast which cost £6pp, was good value and set is up for the day ahead. Brilliant location, very central for transport, shops and eateries.”
“This is an excellent hotel for the price. As soon as we arrived, we were well greeted and given tourist information about the area. The rooms were clean, breakfast was tasty and the price was reasonable for the area. The only negative is the free wifi was terrible or purposely throttled as the hotel wanted guests to pay for the premium wifi. Regardless of the slow internet, we would come back to this hotel on our next stay in Edinburgh.”
“Staying at Malmaison was a great experience. Arriving from a red eye at 6:30am, we weren't expecting to be able to get into a room until later that afternoon but they were able to upgrade us when we arrived for only £20! The room was spacious and modern with a moody flair. Would definitely recommend the stay there.”
“We took the chance and popped in one Friday evening as our friend has been going here forever and recommended They were hosting a little birthday party but welcomed us to dine as they had tables available We ordered pasta with complementary garlic bread which I have to say was one of the nicest breads I’ve had , some rose wine which was delicious and chilled to perfection and water The pasta was so fresh and tasty We were full to try a dessert but we will be back The owner and mum We’re just lovely we felt so welcome and just loved the old style decor and cosy feel Of the place This is a little hidden gem and very reasonable price wise We can’t wait to go back soon”
“Amazing food, stunning views (if your by the window) busy place with fast service and great value for the price (lunch time visit) Bookings are by phone only. So we chanced it rocking up towards the start of service hoping to get squeezed in. (Edinburgh at the fringe is busy). The menu has hand written additions/specials, some bin end wines to take advantage off. Pictured is the venison foccaccia, chargriiled pork, whitebait and the buckwheat pancakes) One of my favourite meals in Edinburgh”
“We stopped there at Sunday afternoon just for one beer because of historical value. However, Kamil, Craig, Martin, Harri, Archie were so amazing and helpful that we spend there alomst five hours. We had such a great time and experince. We also got a option to try historical skittle alley. It was such a fun. So we highly reccomend to vist this place. Thank you for everything Marika, Zuzana and Kateřina.”
“Dinner out done right Loved this pub to eat at. Vibrant garden on a Saturday night with people enjoying a drink and good time by the looks of it. Inside was very nice and the food was to die for. I had the lamb and was asked how I would like it cooked and this is something you don’t often get in finer dining establishments. Very very impressed. Thank you to Emily and Alex who served us.”
“Visited recently with family for lunch - we really enjoyed the high quality food with new pizzas added for the winter menu. Staff were very friendly and attentive and we were sat at a table straight away. Will definitely be back again soon!”
“My First time at a Wagamama & i can truly say if there was a Phoenix in every one id go every day! Phoenix was so helpful & if she didn’t know she would go & ask to ensure we had the correct information. A great asset to the Team. My Salmon noodles were lovely. We will return next time in Edinburgh.”
“Toranj Restaurant is an absolute delight! As you descend the stairs, you're greeted by a breathtaking display of vibrant flowers. The customer service is impeccable, and the food quality is outstanding. We had the pleasure of sitting in their cozy yard, adding to the overall charm of the experience. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience!”
“First meal in Scotland and it did not disappoint! Great shop for lunch, went right when it opened. Had the Cullen Skink, the Haggis and both were delicious. The Pesto Salmon risotto was wonderful as well. Great place!”
“Great family run restaurant. We liked it so much that we went back the next night. It's not fine/posh dining like many other restaurants in the area but instead just cozy, rustic warm and authentic. Highly recommend!!”
“A group of four of us had lite bites and cocktails here before attending The Military Tattoo, as part of The Drummer tickets. The staff were superb, very welcoming and friendly. The food and cocktails were great. A very relaxing start to the evening, as they even escorted us into the Castle grounds for the performance.”
“The BEST lasagna I have ever had—hands down! This restaurant is small, cozy, and serves absolutely incredible Italian food. Every dish we ordered was outstanding, full of rich flavors and authentic taste. A special shoutout to our server, Alessandra, who was truly one of the sweetest and most welcoming people I’ve ever met. Her warmth and kindness made the experience even better. If you're visiting Edinburgh, do yourself a favor and don’t skip out on a meal here. Whether it’s lunch or dinner, you’re in for a delicious treat!”
“CANADIAN APPROVED! after my two weeks in Scotland and having chips frequently, I was dying for a poutine. Found this treasure of a restaurant on my last day. Great food, outstanding poutine. The house poutine is your quintessential Canadian poutine, nothing fancy just the classic fries, cheese curds, and brown gavy *chefs kiss*. The novelty of having a Canadian themed restaurant to sit in was amazing. Friendly staff, quick service. A great place to eat! I had the house poutine with a buffalo rach Royale. My friend had the dirty fries.”
