Pet friendly hotel in Welling

“The cleanest travelodge I’ve ever seen. Rooms and service areas spotless, attentive staff, close connections to London Bridge, Heathrow and Gatwick. The only small issue I have was I prefer stronger water pressure in the shower and a way to turn on the bathroom extraction. 5/5 well done to staff.”

“The hotel itself was really nice and clean rooms were spacious and pleasant with complimentary tea and coffee. It also had a fan in the room which was appreciated in this weather. Beds were clean and comfy with good pillows. Breakfast was ok with your standard English breakfast but there was no vegetarian or meat free alternative, so just beens mushrooms and eggs for vegetarian options, with cereal and pastries also on offer. The downside to this hotel was the that it seems to be in a deprived area with police seeming to be on call every other hour. There is an Aldi directly across from the hotel but was fronted by drug addicts and homeless however they didn't seem to cause any issues. So overall, not in the best area but I would stay here again but only as a layover for the night with the very cheap price playing the biggest part in that.”

“This must be the cleanest Travelodge I've ever stayed in. The room was immaculate. All the staff I encountered were helpful and friendly. A special mention to Martina for her warm and friendly welcome at Reception after my long journey: her patience and kindness were really appreciated. “I was here on business and overall my stay was very good. It is easy to find, although as I was in a vehicle I had to parkin the adjacent car park which, using the Hotels website's description, was a little confusing but maybe that was just me and next time it will be a whole lot easier. You ask for a ticket with a QR code and then when you go back to the car park to pay, in the morning, you scan the QR code and it reduces the price to £6, which, for London. I thought was a very good price. You enter at the rear of the hotel and slightly weirdly you enter a lobby, go to the lifts at the back and get the lift up to reception. At night you have to scan your room card to enter the lobby but not evening and when I came back there was somebody just sitting on the floor. The reception was great and booking in went smoothly. I went to my second floor room which overlooked the shopping square, which after 1700hrs was fairly quiet and caused no problems. The room was excellent, clean, tidy and exactly as you would expect, with only one slight negative... the toilet needed bleaching or a thorough clean, you could still bad discolouration. There is no loss of star rating as the room was still excellent. After a good sleep I went for breakfast which was adequate, no great complaints other than there is always a coffee machine but Travelodge allows only hot water to be dispensed, which is just a bit mean, considering I paid nearly £11 for it.”

“Best place to stay! We stayed there for a few days and the service was amazing, better than a lot of hotels I've been to. Although it was evening, as soon as I called they picked up in a matter of seconds! The rooms are luxurious and definitely worth the price with great facilities such as a kettle microwave,iron and iron board!”

“Gainsborough Lodge near Gatwick Airport. The price is really reasonable, and the rooms are nice and clean – the water’s hot, the shower looks brand‑new, and the breakfast is excellent value for money. The staff are super helpful and made our stay even better. I highly recommend this place; if you’re heading to or from Gatwick you can get to the airport in about twenty minutes by public transport. Thanks a lot for the hospitality Chiragh Bhai – we’ll definitely be back!”

“The staff was very appropriate and kind while the place couldn't get any cleaner! The rooms are unfortunately very small and not well equipped for a longer stay but they're very clean and comfortable. The location is unfortunate as there's a busy road next to the place and not many convenience stores around but the metro is only for a 15 minute walk. The area is pretty "diverse", interpret that however you want.”

“I booked a last minute umrah trip for my family. I was taken care of by Rauf Ahmed. My family had a wonderful experience in Makkah and madina. Brother Rauf made sure everything was taken care of. The transfers from airport to hotel and Makkah to madina were included in a spacious car (GMC). I was extremely unsure of whether to use this agency for my family’s umrah after I had read negative reviews, however brother Rauf reassured me that everything would be fine and taken care of. The hotel locations were perfect. I would definitely recommend to use this agency, and ask for Rauf Ahmed.”

“I had low expectations based on some of the reviews here, but had no problems during my stay. Yes the room was small, but I'm 6ft and had no trouble moving around. Yes it was hot, but there's a thermostat on the radiator. And yes the decor was a bit worn, but who cares at this price point. The room was clean, comfortable, and dark, and the price unbeatable. There were plenty of towels and toiletries and the kettle with tea, coffee, and biscuits was a nice touch. There was some noise from other rooms, but nothing earplugs didn't fix. The only thing the room lacked in my opinion was a bedside lamp and I had to be careful with the tap and shower which could run scalding hot.”

“The room is clean and everything else is neat, tidy too. I only write this review because of other low rated review that was written before and I was worry before I come BUT NOT anymore after I am staying right now on July 2022. Everything is great especially with this price. They even put microwave and refrigerator that I don't see it in my Marriott Hotel that I stayed last week. For your information, it is a little far from train station and NO air condition for American. Other than that I can't ask for more with this price that is around the same as HOSTELS and NEARER to London than other cheap motels, hotels with your own clean room.”
