βThis chemist is very convenient when you are visiting the Great Holm (Hilltops) surgery. Open until 6.30pm Mon - Friday. Recently the displays have improved, as the prices of items are now displayed on the shelves. Unfortunately it's closed all weekend and its website is no longer available. Step entrance from the car park or ramp on the other side. Also accessible directly from inside the medical centre.β

βSo yes, it is an old pool, but the pros massively outweigh the cons and there are some quite unreasonable reviews here. Pros:- 33 metre pool, Lovely staff, Lovely community vibe, Wide lanes, More flexible swimming times, Properly hot showers, Big changing cubicles (useful if you're 6ft3 like me) Decent pool temperature so you can really go for it when you swim. Cons:- It is old so there are rust marks that have built up over the decades, giving it an untidy/grubby look, although it is as clean as any other pool. Unfair and generally negative reviews about teeny things by unsympathetic people. The negative reviews about this pool stopped me trying it for 3 years and the only reason I went was because the Kempston one was closed for a period of time. It is in need of a refurbishment as it is an old pool, but it isn't any dirtier than any other pool I've been to. The one in Barnet North London is pretty much a brand new centre, and I've seen that one in significantly worse states than Robinsons due to customers being gross and disrespectful. So, if you want to go swimming in a nice, well maintained, historical pool with a great community vibe, nice respectful people, spacious lanes, is open when you want, and you can understand that it has battle scars from years of service, then this is the pool for you.β

1569 Loves Farm Pharmacy + Travel Clinic
βI booked a last minute appointment at Loves Farm travel clinic on Friday to renew my Tetanus vaccination. When I arrived I was shown into the private room and the nurse took my blood pressure before giving me my vaccination. My pressure was 224/115 so it turned out I was in a hypertensive crisis and had to go to hospital to be given medication to bring the pressure down. According to the doctor I was a whisper away from an aneurysm, stroke or heart attack!! The shocking thing for me is that I had no history of high blood pressure and no symptoms at all, I felt great! Looking back now I realise that if I hadnβt booked that last minute vaccination appointment and if the pharmacy hadnβt taken my blood pressure as a routine measure, I could have died that weekend. Itβs a sobering thought, especially as Iβd driven along the motorway that day for work with no concept of the danger I and other road users were in. Loves farm is a great travel clinic and I hope all pharmacists are conducting routine blood pressure testing because I really believe that it saved my life that day.β

βI booked a private MRI through Vista. Everyone I spoke to in there was friendly. When I suddenly got claustrophobic going in, I felt so cared for, Rose is a so caring and made me feel safe; they both waited until I felt ready before proceeding. Daniel's direct communication inside the machine was also reassuring and he checked in for consent to proceed at each new scan area. I was provided with plugs and headphone style ear muffs, there was a comfy pillow. I opted for no music as I get a bit overwhelmed with noise so I used my imagination to think of nice things instead. Really happy with the service.β

βI was concerned when I looked through the reviews of this veterinary practice before approaching them for some help I needed with my dog Poppy. Looking at the dates on the reviews, they all seemed very old so this made me wonder if it was just people taking the time to leave their bad thoughts, nobody taking the time to leave good!! I went with my gut feeling & Iβm so pleased I did. I initially called & booked Poppy in with Sue, who was very warm hospitipal. On the appointment day, I was greeted by a receptionist Gemma & we also met Sonia who was a nurse there. All very nice people & very professional I found. Poppy seemed so happy & relaxed when I collected her, all staff where doting over her so she was clearly in her element too. Poppy & I needed to come back for another appointment where we then met the receptionist Kerry & Brad who was carrying out the operation on Poppyβs tooth. Again, both Kerry & Brad were lovely & went above & beyond for us with Poppyβs tooth extraction. I can honestly recommend the Best Friends Vet Group Shenley 100%. βI'm possibly biased as I was the Leader of the Council at the time the leisure centre was built. At the time there was a lot of debate whether it should be built or the facilities at the FE college expanded. 30 years on, as a unfit member of the public I think it was definitely the right decision. The facilities are excellent and good value. But what especially makes the centre a wonderful facility are the staff. From reception to pilates to the cleaners to everybody else, the staff are encouraging and lovely.β

βThis pool is a really nice place to swim and train. The staff are excellent. My wife is paraplegic and enjoys swimming unfortunately most of the pools in the area, although they all have disabled access the staff at Kettering pool make it much more pleasant. There is nothing that is too much trouble for the staff. They are all patient, friendly and informative. I feel that it is the staff here that make this such and enjoyable palce to swim. The hoist to get in and out ofbthe pool is an old pump style and it is hard work for the staff yet not once have I heard any member of affairs complain or grumble about this. A big thanks to the staff at Kettering pool.β

βI popped in here whilst my car was still in the garage for late repair. I visited this centre on Monday 27/10/25 at around 4pm. The facility is good, and has free weight gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam. Very spacious leisure centre. What stood out the most were the kind receptionists. They helped me out with a day pass, gave me a tour of the facility and showed me where everything was. Thank you for making my visit accommodating.β
