“Emergency appointment booked for the day, was seen very quickly and was really taken care of. vet was friendly and knowledgeable and made my cat feel pretty safe, tall order as she's quite a nervous thing. Building was clean and all steps were taken to maintain social distancing with from car queuing and plenty of hand sanitizer available.”

“What lovely people. I visited yesterday following a horrible experience at Heath Hill Surgery around the corner. Such a massive contrast in customer and patient care. The delightful pharmacist and her team showed genuine understanding and compassion for my situation. I left without the urgent medication I needed (thank you for nothing Heath Hill Surgery) but the kindness showed to me by the team at the pharmacy lifted my spirit and restored my faith in human nature. Thank you!”

There are plenty of plant based options, gluten free options etc and they will happily make changes to suit. Full English breakfast again was awesome. “Beautiful hotel and unbeatable location Very cosy atmosphere and Very friendly staff. Especially Vanessa and Shiva lunch time both amazing and welcoming. Mia and Tom are very helpful with all the questions we have. We have stayed here. Also, We came here for Christmas Market. The weather was not good, but they have arranged all inside and outside fire pits with Marlow umbrellas very impressive. The room is very beautiful, nice clean thank to housekeeping team genlemen called Marcin very helpful with our luggage and we find out he is working here more than 12 yeasrs WOW, Christmas decorations were going up feel so good. We love to visit this hotel with friends and sure coming back in summer. Thank you Compleat Angler team.”

“We stopped by for a late lunch/early dinner just after 5pm on a Sunday. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, they were serving food which was a plus as many places had stopped. Lots to choose from, the food came out quickly and well presented, I had a chicken roast and my husband had a burger and halloumi fries. We sat outside in the courtyard, it was quiet, perfect for what we wanted and delicious food. We will definitely come back, thank you!”

“Lovely hotel with great, friendly staff. They welcomed us and our children extremely warmly and made our life a lot easier! The evening buffet for the children was brilliant as it meant they could eat without waiting ages and pick what they wanted and change their minds easily enough. The grown up food was also very tasty. On a personal preference I thought the food was a bit 'poncy' for my taste but that's entirely a personal thing! Would definitely look to stay here again if I was in the area.”

“We spent the weekend at the Coppid Beech hotel, and couldn't fault the rooms, or service. We had a king room. The kids loved the jacuzzi bath. We chose the hotel due to the location with Lapland UK a 15 minute drive from the hotel. On the morning we were to check out, we planned to go to the coral reef swimming pool and the hotel gave us a complimentary extra hour on the check out time. Service was faultless!”

“I've read alot of miserable reviews of the hotel being a little rundown which is true. But i paid £75 to stay in the Grange which I thought it was very good value for a quiet and comfortable room. This included a very decent breakfast. And the grounds are really very nice. Great walks.”

“Perfect Stay for Business Travelers I had a fantastic three-night stay while on a business trip. Valentina and Miranda were outstanding—friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The rest of the team were great too, making everything smooth and stress-free. The freshly cooked breakfast was a real highlight, far better than the usual buffet. My room was spotless, quiet, and comfortable, with excellent Wi-Fi that made working easy. Highly recommend for anyone traveling for work!”

“We had our 2024 wedding reception at the barn at The Olde Bell and it was a wonderful experience. Leah was very helpful in helping us figure out the timings, how to structure the day and the usual order of events since we were a bit clueless. On the day, Vincent was magnificent, so calm and collected, professional but warm. All the staff we had on our day was great, the food was fantastic (multiple guests said they really enjoyed it) and we had a great time. We also used the recommended suppliers for flowers and music and were very happy with both! As a clueless couple whose main requirement was for things to be nice and for everyone to have a good time (I know, not much to work with!), we received a great service and were very happy with how things turned out.”

“I had an amazing experience at this hotel! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was superb—warm, relaxed, and full of character. The swimming pool and spa was great, and the historic setting of the hotel added a special charm to the whole experience. Breakfast was a real highlight—flavorful and satisfying, with top-notch service. However, the restaurant food was a letdown. While the staff remained friendly and attentive, the meals were tasteless and overpriced. This is definitely an area that could use some improvement. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would recommend the hotel for its atmosphere, history, and hospitality. Just hope they upgrade the food at the restaurant soon!”

“The hotel was absolutely lovely. As a wheelchair user, I get anxious about going to new places but this hotel is 100% disabled friendly. Although I didn't have a disabled room, the room I had was very spacious and I was still able to use my wheelchair in it easily. It was very clean, the food was delicious (although slightly expensive), and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend this place for a lovely little retreat, the spa facilities were really nice and also wheelchair friendly!”

“Michelle has looked after our cat Lily numerous times over the past few years. She's brilliant, she took the time to get slowly introduce herself to lily who is very frightened of new people, and went above and beyond keeping her cool while we were away during a heatwave last year. We always have peace of mind going away, especially as she sends a photo update each day. I would her recommend to anyone needing a cat sitter.”

“Greta has been walking our dog Filbert for over 5 years now and I couldn’t recommend her services more. He loves going out with her and the other dogs at lunchtime. It’s great for his socialisation and it’s lovely to see the videos and pictures she post on her Facebook page of them all having a good time. Feels very reassuring to have her looking after him. Greta has also shown flexibility when our schedule has changed or we need support last minute. Highly recommend.”

“We love our dog Teddy and would not trust just anybody to take him out for walks as he needs a really good run twice a day. Unfortunately due to work commitments we had to rely on some help. I have known Catherine for some years and knew she was exceptionally focused on anything put her way, but she is amazing with Teddy and the other dogs which shows in how happy they are. He loves her and so do we!! :-)”
