“A delightful campsite adjacent to the Sherwood Pines visitor centre in a tranquil location. Friendly staff at reception, who pass you on to a team member on the site who help you decide on a suitable pitch based on your preference. There's a central block with toilets, showers, laundry and dog wash facilities. There's also a children's play area and a bike maintenance and wash facility so you can clean your bike after a ride. The campsite is surrounded by woodland with hiking trails and mountain bike trails, there's also plenty of wildlife in the area. The prices are a bit on the high side but it's a very well maintained site in a great location so worth paying that bit extra for. Would come back again, particularly in the off season when it's very peaceful.”

“Loved our stay here. The house is beautiful and so unique, loved the decor. We stayed in the superior king room. The owners are lovely and their dogs are very well behaved and friendly. Breakfast was nice too. There's a town within walking distance to go out for food and drinks. If we're ever back in Mansfield we'd definitely stay here again.”

“This place is amazing. Took my 4 year old daughter here after nursery promised her that an animal handling experience was going to bring a tarantula for her to see/hold and unsurprisingly did not. She was so disappointed to have not seen them as she is obsessed with spiders so a friend recommended a trip here. We've now been a few times to look at the tarantulas in stock. The staff are so friendly, so welcoming and so knowledgeable. We've loved learning more about tarantulas, and it's helping us understand what we might need to one day have one at home. Can't recommend the place enough, so glad we found them and my daughter would be there every day if she could.”

“My doogles LOVE coming to the vet. Don’t ask me why, but it could be because I’ve worked at a vet before so they’re comfortable with me being in a familiar environment!! So glad we have such a good team at Cedars. They take very good care of my three and they’re close to home.”

“I just walked in as my little one was unwell and not himself. Less than 5 minutes found out he has ear infection and was already prescribed with medicine. Very happy with the service, availability and quickness of everything !! Saved me a lot of time and trouble ”

“Brought our dachshund in for the 1st time today.We let the staff know he's had spinal surgery and could be a bit grumpy about it.They were brilliant with him and he looks amazing after a much needed cut. We'd definatley recommended going here,and will be back when hie next trim is due.”

“My fiancée and I had the most wonderful time in Sherwood. The cabin was beautiful and the location was simply stunning. There were plenty of activities available, but more than enough gorgeous scenery to just go for a leisurely walk. The staff were incredible, friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Forest Ranger John was an absolute legend with his delightful quiz on Wednesday and a lovely, impromptu walk in the forest on Tuesday. I would absolutely come again and highly recommend Forest holidays in Sherwood to anyone looking for a peaceful, picturesque break in the forest.”

“First time pamper session for our 2 year old border collie Beau. Wanted to treat him to his own spa day ( or Spa Hour). We've just spent a fortune on a new bathroom and didn't fancy him scratching new patterns on the bath so decided to try Mucky Pups. They were friendly and courteous from start to finish, from booking on the phone to collecting our pooch. I was a bit anxious about leaving Beau but needn't have worried, when I went to collect him he was let out of his crate, tail wagging and greeting the other Spa guests. He looked and smelled lush....and his manicure was much better than I usually manage. Beau loved it so I was happy, and the price was quite reasonable too.”

“Called in to Forest Lodge about 4-15 on Sat 1st Nov for drinks and food.Was served by Scarlett in what was a very busy pub with people watching sport.She seemed to be working the bar on her own but was very efficient and polite.Great to see a young lady doing a fantastic job in a busy environment with a smile on her face.5 stars from us”

“After getting a rescue dog we wanted to be able to socialise him around other dogs with someone who has more knowledge than us. I’ve tagged along with Liane on lots of group walks and it’s been great to see how Moose’s confidence has grown. She’s given lots of helpful advice that we’ve been able to use and Moose loves having a run around with his new pals! If we’re ever in need of a dog walker, I would be perfectly happy leaving Moose in Liane’s more than capable hands.”
