“This place was definitely worth the visit. I had the fish option, my partner had the meat and our 3 year old just had the buffet (free for under 5s anyway). Good range of food, the fish plate( you just get the one plate, then you can choose from the buffet) was really good! And the meat comes round and you say if you want that one or not, my partner said it was some of the best meat he has had! We will be visiting again!!”

“First time visiting here. Absolutely beautiful food, all cooked to everyones taste. A wide range of meats which didn't seem to stop coming to the table! We sampled a few drinks from the cocktail menu which were also really nice. A few had dessert and all the cheesecakes were gorgeous. All the staff were really polite and friendly and were really welcoming. Will definitely be revisiting!”

“This pub is in a good location with a nice setting right in the gateway of the peak district. The Sunday roast and the dessert here was spot on, and the service is good and friendly. From the dining area, there is a pleasant view overlooking the surrounding scenery despite the carpark. Parking here isn't an issue, as the carpark is opposite and has plenty of space. There is also a play area and outdoor seating leading up the stairway to the entrance, with additional benches in the carpark.”

“This was a gift and we chose the shorter lunch option as we didn't have experience of tasting menus. The service was very friendly and welcoming, not intimidating at all. All the menu was explained but not in excessive detail. I had the wine pairing which was well worth it with 2 English wines included. I think this was a good value menu for the amount of detail in the cooking and number of courses . The alcohol menu is also extensive and not over priced.”

“Lovely meal at papa’s for the 8th year running. I had the lobster ravioli which was lush, the cannoli which was superb and the lemon pancakes which were divine - you cannot come here and not have the lemon pancakes they are the nicest thing you will ever eat.”

“Little hidden gem. Fantastic food, amazing atmosphere, outstanding service and beautiful experience. If you like Italian food this restaurant is best i have ever been in Yorkshire. Food was delicious and waiters were so lovely constantly attended us. It's lovely little restaurant which definitely hit your expectations. It's been run by their family for years. I had amazing time and I will be coming back more often as I enjoyed it so much. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.”

“Me and a friend dropped in on Saturday and I was really impressed. I don't write many reviews but we had a good time there. One of the staff called Jess helped me get the rewards app which I didn't even know was a thing, so really happy. Good atmosphere - staff were all smiles. Food is always great at Urban but gotta tip my hat to the salad - cool and fresh just what we needed in 30 degree heat. My new go-to store. Highly recommend.”

Service has always been impeccable. the staff are welcoming and attentive. We regularly pop back for a Sunday dinner which are top notch. Special mention going to the gochujang chicken here as well.”

“First time been to this restaurant Chez Lahlou's. We ordered a starter and a main course and we had free chicken wings and garlic breads before the starter and main course. We really enjoyed the meals. The main course was absolutely big portion. Excellent value for every meal we've had. Lovely atmosphere, Cosy and romantic. “What a gem! We were just visiting for the weekend, and we loved our evening meal at Mamma Mia Pepe. The food was delicious, and the waiter is a true Italian Gentleman, and a delight to speak with. There was a storm the day we visited, and the restaurant was quiet, but hopefully that is rarely the case as this place deserves to thrive. There is a tram stop just down the road, so getting here on the tram could be a good move as parking was a bit limited.”

The food is beautiful and soo hot, the service is welcoming and very friendly, its a family run restaurant and you really get that feeling from the atmosphere. “I honestly don’t know where to start! Me and my family have been coming here for years, all celebrations including big functions for my brothers cricket team and it has always been impeccable! My family decided to book for my 21st birthday meal and as a present the Robyn Loxley suite was booked for me and my partner to stay the night. The suite was absolutely beautiful, spacious, unbelievably clean and beautifully decorated. The thought and little details that go into the suite are stunning and anyone debating booking it you will not be disappointed! Onto the food, every time we have eaten here it has always been amazing but last night was absolutely unreal. We had 20+ people in our booking and every single dish came out on time, fresh and absolutely divine! Every single member of staff was absolutely lovely and made my night so so special, I really will remember this night forever. Thank you to John, his family and all the staff!”
