“Medivet shawbirch are amazing, they saw my dog on short notice, multiple times and were friendly and informative. Eliza and Saski are both wonderful and caring and the people on the front desk are lovely, welcoming and chatty. However if they ever offer you an appointment with medivet oakengates DO NOT GO. Medivet oakengates was horrible service and treatment. I felt very pressured to get my dog neutered or have boas surgery and when said he would not be getting neutered i felt judged and pressured to consider it. When i said i didn't want too i was questioned as to why, its just preference. They made me feel like i was doing something wrong by not getting him done. this was funny as the medivet shawbirch advised against getting him done, and was polite about it. my dog does not need boas. i couldnt afford the tablets but felt forced to buy them as i felt i wouldnt be allowed to leave the practice with my dog if not, considering they said they would come to my house and take my dog if i didnt bring him in. will be moving vets now how dare you threaten to come to peoples houses. disgusting ruined my christmas eve and day. Not only this but now i feel forced to move vets. Thank you Shawbirch for all good you did do for myself and Gatti.”

“Booked in with my little dog, Sasha. Scruffy little Jacktzhu cross. They got me in super promptly and I advised that Sasha had been a problem at groomers in the past due to her dislike of the process. They put me at ease immediately and advised all would be well! When I came to pick her up - she was gorgeous! Happy, well looked after. They assured me though she didn't like her legs and face being done that they'd be happy to book her in again and she'd been really sweet! Such a relief. She looks amazing and she was clearly in such great hands. She's also much happier in herself now she's no longer so scruffy! Thanks so much guys!!”

“Highly recommend. We brought our 11 year old Bichon here with a partially torn cruciate ligament - anaesthetic is risky for her so we wanted to avoid surgery. Best choice we made was to bring her to David for hydrotherapy and laser therapy. A week before Christmas, she hurt her leg on a walk and couldn’t put any weight down on it. After 4-5 visits, she’s as good as new. For a dog who hates puddles, she was SO excited to see David and go in the water tank. Thank you!”

Lovely communal building where we used the kettle and microwave provided. Great location for visiting the surrounding area. We had a campervan pitch, lovely in the evenings with so much wildlife! Would recommend and will certainly look to stay at other sister sites or come back to Longnor if back in the Peak District.”
