“We found a large mass in our little Luna’s mouth on Friday evening (20th Dec) and were panicked and distraught. City Vets Shore Road fitted her in for a check up first thing the next morning, on the Saturday. They scheduled Luna for a biopsy first thing Monday morning (23rd Dec), which I’m told was their only emergency appointment over the Christmas period and I’m so grateful that was available for her. While Luna was in surgery, the head vet nurse rang me to say that the vet had got a proper look at the mass and gave me the option to go ahead with the biopsy, but they recommended palliative care instead of putting her through the surgery. I chose the palliative care on their recommendation and I’m so grateful that they were straight up and so compassionate about the situation, they certainly could have made a good £300 more if they went ahead with the biopsy as agreed without saying anything. When I couldn’t just let her go on the operating table, they then fitted her in for euthanasia the next day, on Xmas Eve so we could have one last night with her. We were well looked after and Luna was treated like the little old queen she was, even though she was dreadfully sick during the procedure. She was running around playing and eating like a champ on Friday, and she was gone by Tuesday. As you can imagine, it was an incredibly quick and painful few days and my partner and I were well supported by all of the staff, even the lovely girl on reception was incredible and comforting. All in all, while we would have paid anything to keep Luna from suffering, the cost of it all was extremely reasonable and we are now waiting on our baby’s ashes coming home. Thank you, City Vets, for helping us through the hardest time of our lives and for ensuring Luna got the best and most compassionate care we could have asked for, especially in the run up to Christmas when I’m sure you all would rather have been at home with your families. Thank you ♥️”

“I have always taken my pets to city vets Ravenhill Road but when I moved to Comber I thought I would save time and take my cat to vets in Comber big mistake I didn't find them caring I thought they were rude ( not the reception staff they were very nice ) but I'm not sure if the lady I dealt with was a vet or a nurse but all I can say is I definitely won't be back. I won't be changing from City vets Ravenhill Road again all the staff there are really nice and caring”

“Myself and my husband decided to stay here for our 1 year anniversary and it did not disappoint. The spa is absolutely amazing and not too over crowded, the food was fantastic. The service from all the staff from we checked in to we left was excellent. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the room was extremely warm, however there was a fan provided. But overall it was amazing and we will definitely return.”

“Rooms are small, but very comfortable and they had everything we needed. We stayed two nights. There is a free hour of street parking, and free from 5pm to 8am, so we parked on the street after 4pm and left before 9am. The location is wonderful. From the front door you can see Carrickfergus Castle - a block away. Food and service were very good. It's old world charm was especially felt in the cozy lobby and the nautical themed restaurant.”

“I have just returned from a three night stay at Corr's Corner Hotel. It is a wee bit out of Belfast but it is on a bus route. The Hotel itself is lovely, nice and traditional inside. My room was great and so was the shower. I had an evening meal in the lounge as the restaurant was fully booked. I also enjoyed the breakfast which was help yourself and you were served tea and toast should you wish. I was fortunate friends came to pick me up but I did use the bus (153) into Belfast. I found the people very friendly and a lovely place to stay. Highly recommended.”

“I can't thank the lady pharmacist enough for her professionalism in bringing to my attention the high dosage prescribed for my dog . She also checked with my vet if they were sure of dosage , they were not as professional in picking up their mistake , even when quizzed by the pharmacist . I worried by what the lady had told me , went back to the vets with said medication , sure enough they had prescribed a dosage 4 times what it should have been . Thanks to this lady I will not be burying my dog tomorrow !! Many, many thanks.”

I’ve always gotten an appointment on a date I’ve asked for with no problems. It’s a secure place so you aren’t worried your dog will escape. It’s a place I always recommend when people comment on my pups cut because it’s so well done. Everything blended in. And her face is trimmed perfect, nice and short round the eye area. My pup seems happier going here than with previous groomers. Which is reassuring to me when you’ve a nervous pup when it comes to places like vets groomers and places with strange dogs. Couldn’t recommend this place enough like”
