“First visit to a lodge since my wife has been in a wheelchair. The lodge was exceptionally clean, well spaced and adapted for wheelchairs. In a lovely location in the woods with lovely walks and wildlife. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were good facilities on site. Highly recommended.”

“I always wanted to have a reptile, and all of the sudden this shop appeared below my flat and that was definitely a sign for me to move on.. The staff is very decent and they do know what they are talking about. I would like to say a massive thank you to a shop owner (his name is Lewis), I've received a personal touch and a full understanding of my needs. He definitely knows a lot and can solve any possible problems you will ever encounter. I've purchased two vivariums, that has been selected particularly for my needs. I'm currently doing a set up with huge support from Lweis and once it comes to the species I want, those will be personally selected.. I'm so proud I have a very decent shop just literally next door! “A great practice. After several issues with our dog, the staff at white cross have not only nursed him back to health, but have also been very patient with him. A young and boisterous Berner is not the easiest patient. You’ve all been so friendly, that despite so many unpleasant appointments in a very short period of time, Atlas is still more than happy to go to the vets.”

“Sam had been licking his rear paws. With it being the season for Alabama Dog Rot i decided to get him looked at. Jo was excellent. Very thorough and really did give my mate the once over. Home treatments were explained as well as the option of prescribed medication if the irritation continues. Equally important, my mind was put at ease.”

“I stayed at The Coach House for a week earlier this year, during a trip home to visit family and friends. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, and I had a fantastic stay. I stayed in one of the old stable rooms, which had a small private patio and a pond. The room was clean, comfortable, and especially lovely with the French doors open and the sunshine streaming in. The included breakfast was delicious and flexible, with options like lactose-free milk, eggs cooked to order, and a selection of cereals. There was also a nice range of fixed items on the menu to choose from. Tea, coffee, and juice rounded out the drinks. The Full English was a standout and set me up perfectly for the day. Next time I visit Derby, I will definitely stay at The Coach House again. Highly recommended.”

“Had a lovely 2 night stay at Breedon Hall this weekend. Charles and Charlotte are amazing hosts and couldn’t be more welcoming. We really loved our room, it had a lovely country house feel and overlooked the beautiful walled garden. The bed was incredibly comfortable with quality linen and the bathroom well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast in the main kitchen, it was just like visiting friends. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend to others.”

“Wow…..what an amazing experience! We came here following a recommendation from one of our friends…. They did a brilliant job grooming my dog - it’s the best cut she’s ever had! The team were professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. My pup came out looking and smelling fantastic - immaculately groomed, clean, and happy! They paid attention to every detail and even accommodated my specific requests. The salon was spotless, and the whole process was stress-free - I can’t recommend them enough to anyone looking for a decent groomer. Thank you so much….We’ll definitely be back!”

“I have used Seale Pastures twice now. I was extremely worried about leaving my dog as I have never used kennels before. They were very reassuring. Chester enjoyed his stay. “Stayed only for one night in glamping pod Ash as a mid-way point to home. Friendly owner greeted us and showed us our glamping pod and explained the layout/amenities. Pod was clean and contained all the essentials you could possibly think of. Each pod has their own shower and toilet facility within the "toilet block" for the pods. It's a clean, small, amd peaceful site with plenty of walks in the area and a nice pub within a 15-20 minute walk. Great first experience in a pod. I would highly recommend this camp site. P.S. we greatly appreciated the owners letting us park our car and small caravan on site while we used the pod as we didn't want to unload and put down the feet just for a one night, shirt stay. Thanks again--we enjoyed our stay!”

“We have a newly acquired rescue dog so were nervous about getting him groomed, not knowing how he might react. Mandy was very patient, caring and gentle with him and he very quickly relaxed. He loved getting shampooed and sat quite still while she carefully trimmed the extra fur around his eyes. I would highly recommend Ruff & Buff.”

“I had the delight of staying in the Damson pod, which felt comfortable and warm, boasting panoramic views of the scenery which I have showcased in my photos. While there was no face to face interaction with the owner, they were always ready to help via email and text message, of which, responses were very prompt. The information room on site had all sorts of information about the local area, and the honest shop was well stocked. The site feature 2 full side bathrooms by the information room, both of which were spotlessly clean and well maintained.”

Key cutting, fruit & veg, tools, hardware, pet supplies, actual pets... It's a great shop and they've been able to help me with countless DIY jobs over the years. Very highly recommended!”

“My partner and I rang up to book a table late on bank holiday Sunday and luckily they squeezed us in. First time visiting and it is a lovely setting a small restaurant, it doesn't have much branding on the outside but looks like they have a lot of regulars! Staff were lovely prices were very reasonable and the food was lush! Good portion sizes too! My only quarrel is that the steak cheese burger I had said it was American cheese but it was more of a sauce (see in my photo) than a cheese slice which wasn't to my taste but that is more of a preference and just something I thought I'd make people aware of. Lovely restaurant!”
