“I've been to an event at Bridgend Farmhouse and also recently visited the cafe. The space is marvellous and quite welcoming. Food is simple but tasty. Wide range of hot and cold drinks. I'll be back soon!”
“Popped in today for a quick breakfast, toasted homemade soda bread with marmalade and a mug of delicious coffee, outstanding. The place was buzzing with people from all walks of life and the counter was absolutely groaning with an amazing selection of home baking. Cheese scones, brownies, cookies ,quiche and an amazing looking birthday cake to name just a few. So,if you're in the southside of Edinburgh at anytime and looking for somewhere really nice to rest and replenish then head to Kates,I can't think of anywhere better.”
“Best café in South Queensferry! A local business that supports other local businesses. High quality drinks, pastries, and friendly staff. The inside is cozy and a great place to chat with a friend, or read a book. Always a pleasant day visiting Brew Culture.”
“Rankin’s Cafe is an absolute delight. The service is prompt and friendly, the setting is charming with the Forth bridge visible over the top of the pretty village houses. Both times we visited our daughter had the kids breakfast which she loved. I was very happy to find a full vegetarian breakfast on the menu (including delicious vegetarian haggis). The food, the atmosphere, the service is all great. Highly recommend!”
“During our honeymoon trip to Edinburgh, this turned out to be the coziest and most delicious breakfast spot we visited. The owners are wonderfully friendly and prepare everything with genuine care. As a surprise, they even had a honeymoon gift waiting for us, which made our visit extra special. I can recommend this place to anyone, and I truly hope we’ll be able to return on our next visit to Edinburgh!”
“I had a lovely experience at Urban Jungle, with delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. I was served by the wonderful Willow who was very attentive and kind. I would really recommend for a nice brunch spot.”
“Absolutely loved the mocha here! The best one I’ve ever had. Highly recommend it for breakfast/brunch.”
“The owner runs the whole show—and she does so exceptionally well. The food is excellent, the prices are very reasonable, and the service is truly five-star. I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Edinburgh.”
“Amazing homemade carrot cake, I’ll be back for that alone. Lovely service and very down to earth just go”
“Delicious linguine with pistachio pesto pancetta and proper cappuccino. Can taste the quality incidents and pasta was al dante. Friendly people. Quick service. Would be back again soon.”
“In for takeaway, had a chicken cesaer wrap, Food amazing in this wee place Deffo be back next time I'm in the area. Might look expensive for some folk but ye only get what ye pay for. And I certainly did! Compliments”
“Probably the best omelette I’ve ever had! This tiny coffee shop was packed when we arrived, so we knew it would be good. The coffee and breakfast were delicious. Next time I would definitely get more of the sourdough and skip the croissant bun.”
“If there had been an option for 7 stars I would have used it! Definitely the best cup of specialty and artisan coffee in the whole Edinburgh. They use the best ingredients from quality coffee beans to the best type of Oat Milk available in the region! A hotspot for coffee to be soon! Do not miss it when you are around the area”
“Super lovely cafe, would definitely recommend you going! It’s relatively cheap and the food is absolutely delicious. The staff there are so lovely and attentive. We both got the Turkish breakfast. The bread was so soft and warm. Amazing tasting food and the hot drinks were delectable. Honestly among the best I’ve had in Edinburgh”
“The type of charming local cafe that is sadly all too rare these days, serving a wonderful mix of traditional Scottish dishes and cafe fair with some authentic turkish options. The food is freshly and lovingly prepared to order delivered quickly and with relish. The prices are surprisingly reasonable given the quality. Staff very warm and welcoming and happy to cater to preferences. Ample seating inside and some charming outside tables give it s real Mediterranean feel in the Costa del nitten. Owner passionate about food and pleasing his customers. Only single downside is having to wait awhile for a table as it is so loved by the local community that it's always busy, which is the biggest green flag for a cafe one can give. Highly recommend.”
“Called in on speck for a breakfast and were met by two lovely hosts. Nothing was too much for them and we had a cracking breakfast - egg beans bacon black pudding haggis fried tomatoes and heaps of toast. Definitely recommend”
“Had lunch today, delicious food and lovely choice of cakes. Very friendly staff. This was our first visit but won't our last”
“The Storehouse held our wedding lunch after our local Quaker ceremony. We were delighted how well the place scrubs up at the back for events. The cafe produced loads of fresh scones, salads and great coffee for 55 guests. Doors were opened so that guests would feel more comfortable, as for many this was the first event that they had been to with lots of folks for months/year+. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff and volunteers who took time and effort to make our day so wonderful.”
“Fantastic place , fantastic staff very friendly very accommodating and fantastic prices, and I had the lentil soup which is vegan by the way , it was the best lentil soup I’ve ever had , I will be back for sure”
“Extremely friendly small cafe with great coffee and cakes. Well behaved dogs looked after very well too. We will return before long to sample the awesome looking oven fresh scones and have brunch or lunch.”
“Elizabeth was really wonderful and made our day. She was kind, helpful and very funny. We missed our flight and were scrambling for somewhere to stay. We had booked the farmhouse as it was close and affordable and are so glad we did! The rooms were cozy and clean and the breakfast was really delicious. Elizabeth has been running the B&B for most her life and it really shows in the hospitality she showed us. I would definitely stay again and would recommend to others. There are no fridges in the rooms and the tv is small but that’s part of B&Bs usually anyway.”
“Stopped in here a couple of times now, both times it was busy, but I was seated quickly. The food was tasty and the prices are reasonable. The service from the team both times was spot on. As a bonus the views from the windows are amazing.”
“Went to see Ultimate Eagles. Seen them before and was not disappointed. In the introduction the lead singer stated they were not trying to be the eagles. They were just appreciating as close as possible to the authentic sound of The Eagles. And boy did they live up to that. Harmonies were spot on and the guitars and musicians were great. Thoroughly enjoyable two hours. Highly recommended.”
“Student discount applies for food only. Love their soup & panini - cappuccino and chai latte are not bad!”
“Attended with a wheelchair user, immediately a member of staff was present to help us get in and get to a table. The entrance is step-free. The staff were fantastic and really friendly throughout our visit. Great selection of food, everything made fresh so asking for something without one of the ingredients was not a problem at all, and the choice of fresh cakes was INCREDIBLE. The marlenka was beautiful! Would highly recommend.”
“Super cute café with great food and even better coffee. The space is quite calm & cozy, creating an overall peaceful atmosphere perfect for sipping some freshly brewed coffee on a chilly day in Edinburgh. Highly recommend! :)”
“Leo’s Beanery is the kind of place that makes you believe in mornings again. Tucked away like a secret worth keeping, it serves coffee so good it could probably fix your love life. The staff are warm, the vibe is cozy, and the flat white nearly made me emotional. If I lived closer, I’d probably set up a tent outside and call it a lifestyle choice.”
“Wow! What an amazing restaurant. Food was fantastic, portion was great and plenty of prawns in the prawn pasta! The bottle of wine we wanted was sold out, but our fantastic waiter recommended us a different bottle at the same price. Staff were fantastic, would love to come back here.”
“Booked a Table originally for six definites and 4 maybes, the lady was absolutely brilliant letting us confirm the exact number on the morning of the booking. Words cannot describe how amazing the staff were, from hiding the flowers and bringing out the Birthday cake, to joining in singing Happy Birthday. I will gladly recommend this amazing place, from popping in for a coffee to meeting friends for lunch.”
“Absolutely superb food and service. Thank you all. All 12 of us descended on you, hungry and thirsty in the heat. We were served great coffee, the best panini you could wish for and best of all, huge slabs of fantastic cakes! I don't know how you do it in such a small space. But, we were very grateful. Thanks ❤️”
