“Nice tea room. You can find live info about bus timetable in a screen , so you can chill inside waiting for you return bus to Edimburgh.”
“There’s no front desk staff but detailed instructions to get your room keys was emailed 24 hours before check in”
“I come here all the time. Staff are lovely and food is as you would expect for a Costa. Loads of free parking.”
“I stayed here for few nights. The place is very central, walkable distance to Edinburgh Castle. The host is an amazing person. I arrived bit early (almost 2 hours earlier than my checkin time), he made sure my room was ready and let me check in without any extra pay. Its really hard to find people like him these days. They made the room (bed) everyday. Room and bathroom was really clean. I would definitely recommend this place.”
“Fantastic experience! Quick service, delicious drinks and most of all, my daughter fell on the stairs and Dani was so incredibly kind and caring going over the top to make her feel better! Greatly appreciate the thoughtfulness of the staff! 10 out of 10 experience!”
“I organised an afternoon tea in this restaurant on 27 June for a group of 21 people from a church group. From beginning to end the experience exceeded my expectations. The booking process was so easy, and the managers I spoke to on the phone (Marco and Rebecca) couldn’t have been more helpful. We were given a separate room, which was great for a group event, and when we arrived we were delighted to find that it was beautifully laid out with flowers on the table and on the windowsill and there was a lovely outlook to a garden area outside. Rebecca was very welcoming and friendly when we arrived and made sure that everything was to our satisfaction. The staff helping her were all equally helpful and pleasant. The afternoon tea itself exceeded our expectations. Delicious sandwiches, scones and cakes, and lovely thoughtful touches like strawberries and blueberries dotted around the cakes. The food was exceptional value for money - more than we could eat, and the staff kindly gave us little brown paper carrier bags to take home leftovers. Having such a lovely setting and such pleasant, helpful staff (not to mention the delicious food!) really added to the atmosphere and we had a wonderful afternoon. All in all, this was an extra special experience - top marks to the staff!”
“Vast open space compared to other Starbucks in Edinburgh. This is on the 1st floor of FountainPark Cineworld. You can enjoy a pre-cinema coffee here if you're early for your movie. They've a lift and also toilets, so the cafe is well equipped from different aspects to make a comfortable place for families of all ages to sit and relax.”
“The service in here is always 10/10 the most lovely girls serving and making drinks and genuinely seem happy to help. The space itself is great, nice and spacious with plenty tables and lots of tables with charging points! It is popular as a place to work/study for a reason :) nice location and seems less busy than the princes street locations Toilets are kept nice and clean also”
“Great location, convenience store right in front, close to bus stop. 25-ish minute walk from station.”
“We had room 21 on the first floor that included 3x single beds and an ensuite. The beds were comfortable with additional blankets and pillows available upon request and an extra heater if needed although the central heating was mostly enough for us. There was plentiful hot water and a very good water pressure. The room was cleaned on a daily basis to a really good level. The ensuite was spacious enough for us and there is a communal toilet in the basement which is helpful and kept to a very good cleanliness level. We would definitely visit this hotel again and recommend it to others.”
“We needed a room for one night (travelled up to see Robbie Williams in concert); so we needed a room, and that was it. Didn’t need staff or a breakfast, just somewhere to sleep. And this was PERFECT. Parking is limited but we managed to bag one of the two parking spaces at the front, which was mega handy. The room was meticulously clean, seemed like it was all brand new furniture and very clean and quick thick pile carpet. Instructions to get there and get in were straight forward and easy to follow. Just pick your key up from the lockbox, let yourself into the building and then your room. The hotel was quiet (only saw one other couple while we were there), ideally placed with a bus stop across the road and very clean. Perfect place for a quick overnighter.”
“Lovely Coffee place just beside the Travelodge Dreghorn. Starbucks it’s always a great place for a coffee or for a quick snack… This time I had the pleasure to try a delicious type of Chai Latte, Normally I always have the normal one but this time they offer me the Iced Chai latte and was Fabulous… Thank you Dreghorn team to introduce me this delicious drink I had as well the ham and cheese sandwich toasted and was really good The cinnamon roll was little bit dry but was ok”
“We needed a late last minute place for the night and we came across this guest house. Zorain was very accommodating and welcoming. The room and the bathroom were both tidy and clean. Unfortunately we missed the breakfast but we were allowed to make our own toast and avocado. They provide coffee, teas and biscuits and they have a fridge, toaster, kettle and microwave too. I'd definitely stay here again.”
“I ate here 2 times in a row! The staff here is so lovely. The ambient is also great! An amazing place to chill and watch the street outside. You can also charge your phone.”
“Great budget stay in Edinburgh! The location near Leith Walk offers easy bus access to the city centre. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and a good size. Staff were friendly and helpful. Fantastic value for exploring the capital!”
“The room I had book was clean and tidy. Had a fridge, kettle, TV, ample lighting, good ventilation and even knives, forks, spoons and a cup. They also have a kitchen and laundry. Location is gorgeous. A stones throw from Cramond waterfront. The air is fresh and it's extremely quiet. Staff are always very well mannered and approachable. Always willing to help and are always happy. All in all, a very pleasant experience indeed.”
“Wonderful hidden gem! The staff were absolutely lovely and you can tell from the quality of the food and drinks that they love what they do. Highly recommend the rose latte and raspberry mocha while they're still available on their seasonal menu! Beautiful experience to end our stay in Edinburgh :D”
“Fantastic scrambled tofu on toast. Texture and flavour spot on. Coffee wasn't amazing but perfectly acceptable. Prices were very reasonable. Not much seating inside, but thankfully it was a quiet morning. Highly recommend this place for fellow vegans!”
“Great coffee and the best cinnamon bun I've had on our 4 month trip, baked in house and we got one fresh out of the oven. Super friendly servive to top it off, pop in and you wont be disappointed.”

“This place has got to be one of the best restaurants in Edinburgh. Fairly priced, value for money most definitely. Staff really friendly and informative. The food was absolutely delicious. It was a little dark for photos, but here are some of the best of a bad bunch.”
“What a true gem amongst so many similarly looking establishments. Just behind the Usher Hall, perfectly located for a pre-theatre bite to eat. Lovely interior full of Persian motives. Fantastic staff members, knowing what a very good customer service is without being intrusive and overwhelming. Beautifully appointed table with lovely crockery and cutlery. Food looking so delicious you can't wait to start. Everything prepared fresh from good ingredients. No GMO, emulsifiers etc. Just pure not artificially improved food full of fresh herbs, spices and organic toppings. Good wine list. Prices won't brake a bank (by latest standards). Highly recommend!”
“Excellent breakfast place! Cute and cozy decor. We tried filled croissants, porridge and this lovely pistachio cardamom cake. And also, probably the best coffee we had in the whole of Edinburgh!”
