βHad a really nice stay. Host was very friendly. The road isn't too busy and the modern windows block most noise from outside. Fast bus connection to city center.β
βLoved it, great place, clean, bright, cosy, plenty of storage, and a Garden to sit in while drinking ya morning tea/coffee.β
βBest council staff you will meet, they treat folk fair help folk been in here a few times now the place has pretty much saved me from sleeping on the streets, these staff are a credit to Edinburghβ
βA surprisingly nice apartment. Full of amenities, elegant and in a convenient location. Definately go there again.β
βValue for money. Self catering with all appliances. Clean and fresh bedding. Close to train station and all places you want to visit. However not recommended for someone who can't use the stairs.β
βA wonderful guesthouse in Edinburgh: They literally make you feel at home (not just because you have to do the dishes). They give you a key to the house so you can come and go as you please. Enjoy a traditional Scottish breakfast. I highly recommend the guesthouse for the excellent service, as it seems to be run by the owners. Clean rooms with everything you need. If you want something 'good, nice, and cheap,' this is a great option. Just a few meters away, you can wait for the bus that takes you to the center of Edinburgh (museums, galleries, the castle, The Whisky Experience). For economists, it's within walking distance of Adam Smith's grave and much more.β
βStayed here while travelling for business in Edinburgh For me, everything was perfectly adequate. Single person in a small boutique sized room. The access codes are easily managed, and the space was very quiet for good quality restβ
βCouldnβt recommend Argyle more! The room was cute & clean, bathrooms were updated, and the shared spaces were wonderful! Cozy, eclectic, communal! One of my best hostel stays to date!β
βJill and her team provided a great stay, their service is exceptional and the hotel has real character. Breakfast was superb; nothing was too much trouble. We will be back next year.β
βVery welcoming and staff and service were outstanding. Food in the bar was also one of the best I've had in a hostel. For the price couldn't really ask for any more!β
βAccommodates 32 people comfortably with individual beds and a kitchen equipped to cater for everyone. Owner arranged the table to allow dining for all 32 people. Grand hall fantastic to host events when table is moved. Outside there is plenty of garden furniture. Overall clean, comfortable and a great house. Would recommend for large parties over a long weekend, hard to find a house big enough for 30+ at this price point.β
βLovely, convenient and clean apartment, everything was perfect. Great location, quiet street. The host is super nice and responds immediately :-)β
βWe needed a room for one night (travelled up to see Robbie Williams in concert); so we needed a room, and that was it. Didnβt need staff or a breakfast, just somewhere to sleep. And this was PERFECT. Parking is limited but we managed to bag one of the two parking spaces at the front, which was mega handy. The room was meticulously clean, seemed like it was all brand new furniture and very clean and quick thick pile carpet. Instructions to get there and get in were straight forward and easy to follow. Just pick your key up from the lockbox, let yourself into the building and then your room. The hotel was quiet (only saw one other couple while we were there), ideally placed with a bus stop across the road and very clean. Perfect place for a quick overnighter.β
βThis place is really good.. Love the environment here... It's very clean and tidy here always.. Aziz, the house manager works very hard to keep this place in this standards.. Very happy to have Aziz as a house manager,he is very polite, friendly and helpful..β
βEasy to find with a tram stop right around the corner. The area was pretty quiet at night even with the window open. Room was very clean and modern, the bed was comfortable, en suite was a little small but good to have a private bathroom. The woman at reception was very welcoming and polite.β
βBeautiful quaint hostel in a great area of the city. Free street parking right out front of the hostel. When I checked in, I realized someone had taken my bed, and when I contacted James (property manager/owner, Iβm not sure which) he immediately contacted me back and came by at 11:30 PM instead of enjoying his night out to ensure I had a clean, comfortable place to stay. Overall, great experience, and a great place to stay, even includes laundry which most hostels Iβve been to so far donβt have. Cheers from Florida, USA, James, and Iβll be sure to stay here again when I return!β
