βFantastic stay! The airport bus (100) which stopped right next to the hotel was soooo appreciated when trying to manage bags and tired children. When we arrived the staff were kind and helpful. Our children especially enjoyed the warm pool and great breakfast. The tasty IPA beer was appreciated by us!β
βI've stayed in many a travelodge around the club and im always happy with the service. This one was no exception, staff were friendly and helpful in every way. Comfortable bed ,clean and fresh room, shower was ok , bathroom was spotless. Tea and coffee was provided, just what you need after a journey. Parking was ok for quite a busy place. Starbucks next door is very handy. I will stay at this travelodge again.β
βThe room was very spacious and plenty big enough for the three of us. It was clean and the beds were super comfy. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we were made to feel most welcome. The location of this hotel is so central, both for the railway station, the Royal Mile and a multitude of bus stops and nearby tram stop for travelling further afield. There is no cooked breakfast served here but there are so many cafes nearby it's not really necessary.β
βThe hotel was quaint and loved the decor. The beds were comfy, and plenty of towels were provided. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating to our needs. The location is a 5 minute walk from Haymarket Train and Tram station. We easily walked everywhere. Everything was just as described. There is no lift, and all communication clearly states there is no lift. The hotel sends several messages stating this and advises if a lower floor room is needed to contact them directly if one is available. The hotel met both our budget and travel needs. We did have an issue with the hot water, HOWEVER, after letting the front desk person know they fixed it while we were out the same day.β
βA very calm and clean place with friendly staff. The room was bright and tidy, equipped with a hairdryer, iron, and a kettle with coffee and tea. Highly recommended.β
βWe recently stayed here for the weekend and the hotel was perfect! Clean and well set out. The service was amazing nothing is too much trouble for the friendly staff. Would definitely go back and stay againβ
βFor a 3* hotel we found this over & above our expectations. On arrival we were greeted by very pleasant and helpful staff. Underground car parking available at Β£15 which is ideal. Room was lovely & clean & warm, nice bathroom/shower. Breakfast was really good. Only 15 minute walk to Princes St etc. Well impressed.β
βThe plan was simple: find a budget hotel close to Edinburgh Airport β and it worked perfectly. The hotel met our expectations. The room was small but clean and functional, with a shower cabin and toilet. The mattress was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a bistro on the ground floor where you can have a drink, eat something, or buy takeaway food. Paid parking is available (a few pounds). The hotel is only about 8 minutes by car from the airport, which allowed us to catch our early morning flight without any issues and saved us a late-night trip to the airport. We will definitely use this hotel again if we need a convenient place to stay near the airport.β
βThank you for all this great service. We went only one night and it was enough to see how kind and welcoming are the employees. Great room and great breakfast ! It was a nice way to begin our journey in Edimburghβ
βGreat budget hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely clean room, likewise the bed and shower room. Great bottomless breakfast. Glad we stayed. Would definitely stay again. Staff help give the whole weekend a great vibe. The city is bustling, with exceptional shopping, fantastic pubs and restaurants. Staying here right in the centre of it all, is a must.β
βGreat location, convenience store right in front, close to bus stop. 25-ish minute walk from station.β
βGreat hospitality. They allowed us before the checkin time as the rooms werent occupied. At the day of check out, they were very kind enough to store our luggages with them as we headed to sight seeing and we had evening train. The rooms were clean and the products give were neat and clean. Keep up the great job..β
βPerfect low budget hostel! We had a private family room. Rooms are clean, staff is really friendly, the bar downstairs is always alive and a great place to have a drink and meet people. Location is also perfect, everything is in walking distance! We didnβt book the breakfast but from what I saw there was plenty of choice.β
βVisited on a voucher deal B & B with a cocktail. Yes the room was a bit dated but it was very clean, spacious and well equipped. The "cocktail" was any drink from the bar, breakfast was excellent everything individually wrapped or served by the chef. Special mention to all the staff who were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. For the price we paid we had a fabulous stay - drinks in the bar are very reasonable so worth giving them a bit of extra income from your stay especially if you get as good a deal as we did. It's also 2 minutes from the station/tram stop/bus routes so excellent for a short break.β
βWe enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights. Staff is very helpful, rooms are very spacious. The kitchen is very well equipped. They also offer free luggage storage service.β
β(I booked my stay via Booking.com, and this review is also over there) First off, the staff. The staff here are absolutely fantastic, some of the most kind and helpful people I've ever met while staying somewhere. Thankfully there were no problems, but if there were then it's great to know that there are staff available 24/7. The room we stayed in was a family suite, it was huge, and most importantly comfortable. It was basically a full apartment. It had a nice shower room, living/dining area and a master bedroom. The living room had 2 sofa beds in so there was space for 6 people really, so for my family of 4 stay, we had ample space to be comfortable. The bedding was super clean, there were towels provided, and the pillows, they are feather and REALLY comfortable also. The location of this hotel is superb. It's next to a tram stop, bus stop, so it's easy to get to train stations, the zoo, castle, town and more within minutes. I've got to say, if/when I visit Edinburgh again, I'll certainly be staying here!β
βGreat location for a great price. Very conveniently close to a lot of monuments - can walk to a lot of shops, cafes, restaurants and sights within 20min. Yes, the sound proofing could be a bit better, but I've noticed that it's a common flaw in most Scottish buildings. We were a party of 4 and the apartment we stayed at was very accommodating. Didn't interact with any staff but it was easy to move around and check in/out on your own. Yes, the elevator can only hold two people w/ two bags, but what do you expect with smaller/older apartments. The macerator feature was interesting but we understand the usage, though yes, the sound can be surprising (especially for people new to it). Overall, a solid stay - would stay at again!β
βGreat wee hotel! Clean, cozy, and well looked after. Friendly folk and handy parking. Perfect stop for a night or two near Edinburgh weβll be back for sure! Donβt get the bad reviews β great value.β
βWe came on the road to register early, but the hostess was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Although it was only 11 hours local time, we decided to sit in the bar and order a nice malt. She must have liked us because it was her treatment. The rooms were clean and the sheets and towels were always fresh.β
βOn the way to Murrayfield do yourself a favour, buy temporary membership and have a drink inside. Wonderful! Bit of history. Tartan carpets included. And the best meat pies in Edinburgh if not Scotland.β
βStayed for one night - was good for a small trip. Room was clean to a certain extent. Bathroom was a bit dirty but nothing too bad. Lights in bathroom were very dull and flickering. Bed was very comfortable. Overall a good hotel to stay - location was great, right next to a bus stop. Definitely would recommend. Great value for price.β
βWe stayed in the hotel only for one night. Clean and tidy. Check in wa fast and without any issues. Room with kettle and basic supplies, cofee, tea etc. Towels and storage available. Only downside I would say is the noise. Windows are very old. Wind and noise from the outside is coming through. Bus stop next to the hotel so it is easy and convenient way to travel accross teh city. Shoping centre near by if you want to buy some basic supply or eat outside. Overall, good value!β
βGreat budget stay in Edinburgh! The location near Leith Walk offers easy bus access to the city centre. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and a good size. Staff were friendly and helpful. Fantastic value for exploring the capital!β
βWe've let from this agency for almost 2 years and they have always been helpful and responsive. Whenever we needed to get something fixed, they got to it right away. Some people perhaps have felt the attitude is rude because they forget the agency has to deal with many flats, and often with tenants that are very rude themselves. All in all I would say one of the best agencies in town!β
βIβm a uni student studying in London, on a two-day solo trip to Edinburgh. I originally booked a 4-bed dorm in a hostel for two nights (Β£15 a night), but had to cancel the second nightβthere was someone coughing loudly, another person praying at 5 AM, and the lockers didnβt lock. I ended up booking this hotel last minute the next morning (Β£45 a night). I was so pleasantly surprised and comfy after checking in! Iβd been dreading it because of the bad Google reviews, especially since I got the cheapest basement room with no windows. But it was quiet, spotlessly clean, and the front desk staff were really helpful. First big plus: 24-hour reception. I looked at other places around the same price, but they were all Airbnbs/homestays that needed a confirmed check-in time upfront. As a solo traveler, I had no idea what time Iβd roll in, so 24-hour reception was a total lifesaver. Second win: location. Itβs right near the Water of Leith Weir, and only 2km from the Castleβan easy 30-minute walk for me. Half the walkβs through leafy residential areas with loads of churches, the other half along busy roads leading to Princes Street. Getting to see two totally different vibes on my way back to the hotel was such a nice touch. All in all, even the cheapest room here is miles better than the hostel. 100% a 5-star rating from me!β
βWe went on the Clydesdales experience it was amazing from start to finish. Had a carriage ride with the beautiful horses they are such gentle giants, we were able to feed and touch the animals, first time holding a chicken and touching a pig, not to mention the donkeys and the young foal. The staff were really nice and told you all about the animals and there individual names. There are boxer dogs one who liked to jump up on the carriage for a clap. I highly recommend this experience and hope to go back in the spring to feed some lambs.β
