β1st class accommodation, very comfortable with a warm welcome. We enjoyed our stayβ
βSpent 3 nights. Friendly and helpful. Room was large with ensuite.β
βMy 2nd stay at Inchgrove, and I enjoyed it as much as the first! Duncan and Walter are great hosts, and breakfast will keep you going all day! Rooms are nice and clean and a good value. You canβt beat the location! I recommend Inchgrove and will stay there any time I visit Edinburgh!β
βFinally got to use a voucher received last Christmas and it was worth the wait. The whole experience was excellent. We had lunch in the bar. All of the staff were very attemtive and seemed genuinely happy to help. Both mains were well received, and the sticky toffee pudding was divine. We wont leave it so long to make another visit!β
βWe arrived at the torfin earlier than expected and the owner lindsey was so accommodating, the check in was smooth and seamless. The room is very stylish and cozy, but the best part was the soothing, most relaxing and roomy rainfall shower!! We ate dinner at the restaurant here, the croquettes and corn ribs are to die for we ordered 3 rounds. The fish and chips and pan seared sea bass was delicious! Katie our server made sure to check on us and provided great service! Delicious food, friendly staff, totally recommend!β
βMy brother and I go for lunch a few times a year when I'm home visiting. Its strength is it consistency. Food always good, tasty, hot. Service always courteous, place always clean. Big recommendation for all of their haggis dishes, including the chicken and haggis lasagne.β
βGreat accommodation place in Edinburgh. I booked a regular room but I was upgraded to the Gatehouse and was even greater. The breakfast is excellent and very large. Walking distance to the historic center (for European walking standards) and just by the conference place I was attending.β
βI stayed at Adagio Aparthotel for three nights and had a great experience. The staff were super friendly and helpful, both at check-in/check-out and whenever I had questions. The location is unbeatable β walking distance from the train station and from the airport bus stop, which made everything very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable, with a spotless bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen that made it easy to prepare meals. Everything felt organized and practical, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. If youβre looking for a place that combines comfort, convenience, and a welcoming team, this is an excellent choice.β
βWe stayed at Motel One Edinburgh-Royal in The One with View room, and it was absolutely perfect. The view was breathtaking β exactly what I had hoped for when planning our trip. After arriving from London, stepping into that room instantly washed away the fatigue and made me smile. The location couldnβt have been more convenient: just steps from Waverley Station, close to the airport bus stop, and within easy walking distance of the Royal Mile and other main attractions. Whether travelling by train, bus, or plane, this hotel is ideally situated β for us, having arrived by train and flying out later, it couldnβt have been more perfect. The hotel was stylish, peaceful, and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, and check-in was effortless after a long journey. As a non-native speaker, I wish I couldβve expressed my gratitude to them more fully in person β they truly made our stay wonderful. Iβd love to return to the same room on my next visit to Edinburgh.β

βWe are a local Edinburgh Contractor, Drumorne used us to carry out some electrical compliance work. They are an asset to the community and their guests - they prioritse safety and settle invoices promptly. Happy to recommend.β
βHighly recommended this place ,our two boys loved it . First time they had ever been in a cattery . They came home happy little kitty's. We have already booked another stay for themβ
βSuperb apartments with all the comforts of home! The introductory folder provided in the room is very helpful. Ms. Catriona and Mr. Russell are most obliging hosts.β
βGreat place to stay. The room was very nice and met our needs. The owners were always present, friendly, and helpful. Location was great just a short ride from all the attractions. We would not hesitate to stay here again.β
βLovely place, amazing staff, yummiest foodβ
βAbsolutely superb place to stay, the rooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable, practical too with plenty of electrical sockets, wide choice of tv channels There is Dolly's tea room on the ground floor and a local pub over the road Only a short walk up the road is Roslyn Chapel, well worth a couple of hours to visitβ
βOur wee dog (frenchie/pug) stayed this weekend for the first time and was happy as Larry when he came bouncing out the gate. The staff that I met were lovely and clearly care about their guests. The price per night is very reasonable also. The grounds are very nice and there is a lot of greenery. It feels very rural despite only being a few miles from the city centre. Thanks a lot.β
βMy pup Daisy loves the day care facilities at Bark n Fly. The pickup/drop off service is really handy. Daisy recently stayed for just under a week in the boarding services and had a great time, I appreciated the pictures of her playing and living her best life! Will definitely keep using Bark n Fly and highly recommendβ
βWe've brought our cat to stay at Manor Lodge for holidays over the last couple of years now and are really happy with the care Elizabeth takes with our pet.β
βI thought this was the best of all the hostels in the old town. Walk outside and you are in the grassmarket square, directly underneath the imposing Edinburgh Castle. The shower and bathroom were good, with plenty of individual bathrooms. The bed was a type of pod with enough room to sleep, hang up my shirts and sweatshirt, blanket, pillow, and convenient shelf for my belongings and to write my postcards. USB and charging port. There is a regular light and also a cool color changing light for fun! There is a sliding gate or curtain that gives you privacy, however I woke up in a pool of sweat on a cool day, so I felt I needed to keep it open a smidge so I don't suffocate. There is a vent, but a small fan would have been "cool." Felt very safe, locker for belongings. The staff, AMAZING! while they joked that they were not well taken care of by management, they took great pride in their work, and made every effort to accommodate any and all requests as I saw it. Extremely helpful and friendly when I asked directions or had questions. Available at all hours. Thank you guys for a memorable time in Edinburgh!β
βWe stayed for 2 nights, the rooms were amazing and cozy, the beds very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern, despite the whole building being very (beautifully) old fashioned. The location was ideal, quiet at night, but just a 20-30 minute walk to the city center. Easily accessible from the airport. The host was very kind and helpful. The price is also very good.β
βWe stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely time. You can take a nature path walk to dowtown (took us about 25 min). We also walked to a pub by the sea in about 15. The room was clean and quiet, and the breakfast was full of plenty to snack on. The view of the skyline was beautiful. So cool to stay in a home like this.β
βEdinburgh has many attractions that one might consider visiting and the travel literature lists them almost all. Almost. My visit to the Stevenson house was a real highlight. A Georgian house in Edinburgh's New Town that once was the home of one of the city's great writers, Robert Louis Stevenson. The house is now owned by the Macfie family. Both John and his wife Felicitas work as guides in Edinburgh and know how to tell a story... and have great personalities. Special events can be booked.β
βIt was a truly great experience. The nightly music created such a vibrant atmosphere, and the staff were absolutely amazing β warm, attentive, and full of positive energy.β
βI had breakfast here with colleagues today, and I have to say, the service was first class. We really felt looked after. The food was delicious too and came quickly. We had the full monty and the quality was exceptional. I would highly recommend if you're local, it's even worth travelling for. An easy 5/5 review.β
βNice and relaxing and seems out of the way but so closeβ
βAbsolutely phenomenal place to stay. Couldnβt recommend anymore. We requested a double bed and we were given t with no issue. Also requested early check in through booking.com as it is usually 2:00. That was carried out for us also no problem. The decor is just stunning. Rooms are large, bathrooms are very small but for a few nights definitely is adequate. Thereβs Netflix in the rooms as well as kettle and a hairdryer, no bath but an amazing shower. Got free breakfast on the morning and all only cost Β£70 which is brilliant for the area. Free parking, shopping centre a 5 minute walk away, bus stop across the road that gets you right into the city centre as well as the most friendly host youβll ever meet. So much better than going to a big branch of hotel. Instead give them a miss and go to this lovely little guest house, save your money and have the most amazing time with hosts to aid your every need.β
