“This charming and comfortable restaurant inside the Scotch Whisky Experience is a wonderful place. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and service throughout our dinner was exceptional. Both my husband and I got a 2-course meal. We started with the sea trout, which was very fresh and perfectly cooked. It was served with a potato cake, and fresh peas with fennel and a lovely white sauce. The dish was beautifully composed and presented. My husband had a 15-year-old whiskey, while I had lovely craft whiskey cocktail. For dessert, I had the chocolate whiskey tart and my husband had the sticky toffee pudding. Both were excellent. A perfect dining experience.”

The first bite itself will bring back life to the buried desi in you. I've tried so many Indian restaurant in Dublin and London but this is simply The Best! Ordered achari naan, garlic chili paneer, chicken tikka and mushroom rice. All three are wholesome and must try and amazed by the long list of options available for vegetarians! Price and reasonable and quantity are enough for a single person. Great ambience and super friendly staff members. You can enjoy a great meal along with vintage Bollywood songs playing in the background.”

The flavours of the lamb dishes - Zeera and Murgh Ananas were great, with the fresh herbs and spices coming through strongly and the meat had a delicious, tender texture. “The Thai Valley Restaurant has become our favourite go-to restaurant over recent months. The Thai food is excellent, and with easy ground floor access, it should be accessible to most people. Our favourite starter, a sharing platter for two, served with crispy spring rolls, chicken satay, fish cakes, and crispy chicken, is beautifully presented and tastes delicious. The Tom Yum soup (we order it with shrimp) has just the right level of spiciness. Our current favourite main course is the deep-fried sea bass with sweet and sour sauce. I have no hesitation in recommending the Thai Valley Restaurant for your next Thai food treat.”

The cocktails were excellent — the Coco Kwai was beautifully balanced and refreshing, and the Old Fashioned packed a proper punch (though we didn’t really catch the pandan flavor, it was still delicious). For starters, we tried the vegan corn ribs and patron peppers — both full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The mains were just as impressive: the hospital cabbage and gaeng garee curry were bursting with spice and depth, and the strip-fried broccoli made a great side. Every dish was vibrant and well thought out, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout. We’ll definitely be back!”

We were a large party of 21 people, and every single one of us was impressed. The staff were amazing—super friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire evening. “We visit Edinburgh maybe 1-2 times a year and hands down, the Cafe Edinburgh is always wonderful. We're always greeted like old friends and it is always our first choice. Some lovely Scottish twists on menu items (add some haggis to your breakfast roll!). The staff are top-notch and friendly (shout out to Cathy/ possibly Cassy who was delightful and took time to take a photo of our family together).”

“If you desire superb food and atmosphere, then this place to go but be sure to book a table. It's located in the city center not far from the Scott monument. From the first moment we felt welcome and the place has a nice and calm atmosphere. We celebrated our anniversary there and both of us had the wagyu steak for our main course. You can choose from several different side orders. All to your choosing. The steak was perfectly prepared to our liking. The staff was very welcoming, helpful and service minded. Truly a place to recommend.”

“I love establishments like this one. The ambiance, the waiters, the food. It is really comfortable being there and you know you are going to have a good meal. I had the fish soup which was tasty but not amazing. It had haddock and salmon in it. The fish pieces in the soup were a little chewy. I assume its because the soup is made in a big batch and kept warm during the entire service so the fish gets overcooked. It may be a good idea to add the fish last minute. The scallops were amazing. One of the best I have had. They were really fresh and sweet. The plate worked really well as a whole. My gf had the mussels so no comment on those. It was a shame that I had stomach problems and couldn’t eat much. I will definitely visit again to try lobster and langoustines.”

“First time at Tattu but will defos be back. Has very good food and atmosphere. We loved our server Tayeeba who was very attentive and explained the menu well. We order the kung po prawn and char sui pork mains with sides of the wagu beed gyoza and the spicy egg noodles. All were a very good standard and tasy. To top it off for dessert I had the winter blossom which I’d recommend. Was very cool that it came with the fog effect. Would recommend.”

“Lovely rooftop seating! The atmosphere is very nice, fancier than my usual spots :) Our server Daniel was also fantastic. Very friendly and accommodating. We shared the Chaophraya starter platter & some ciders. Every item on the platter was DELICIOUS!! The chicken tacos and chicken satay were my favorites. The sauce on the chicken satay tastes similar to a thick red curry and I will be back just for that!”

“This bread meets bread is in a good location, Fort Kinnaird. They had many available seats. Inside the restaurant is very nice and looks fancy. We had a classic burger and a BMB posh burger. They were so delicious and juicy, especially the BMB posh one. It was probably the best burger I had in a while. The chips were good. The coleslaw didn't look creamy, but it was tasty. Our waiter was a very nice young girl.”

“I booked a table for 7 adults to celebrate my husband's birthday. I called to push the time by 15mins which was not a problem. The service is very friendly, patient and informative. The food was excellent and enjoyed by everyone. There is plenty of choice for all tastes, the steaks were cooked to everyone's requirements. Everyone in our party really enjoyed the food and all said they would be back. I took a cake along and they brought it out to birthday music and gave us a knife and plates. I can't thank the staff enough for looking after us and making our night special. Highly recommend The Coronation Inn.”

“WOW. Just WOW. I haven't had food this good in a while, I personally ordered the BBQ pork burger w/ an IRN BRU, and OH MY GOSH, that was GOOD. So much flavour, the chips were cooked perfectly. They had all sorts of condiments on the table. Don't get me started on the view, that was a lovely view looking over Edinburgh and it's historical buildings. A friend ordered a pizza, and they said it was very good too, so amazing food overall! I am very impressed, I will definitely try to go again next time I'm up here, Absolutely amazing overall❤️”
