“Stayed here for one night, agree with the other reviews, Dave was really friendly and helpful when we checked in, the room was at the top of a Georgian house, very quiet, very clean and with a very comortable bed. En-suite shower room was clean and there were complimentary toiletries. If you are fine managing stairs I would highly recommend room 5! Lots of options for breakfast in the cafes and pubs locally. Hope to stay again next time we are in Chester.”

“A lovely store where a warm welcome for dogs and humans alike is guaranteed! My labrador Busby and I both love popping in regularly to stock up on his treats and we always enjoy catching up with Josh, Casey and the rest of the knowledgeable team, for whom nothing is too much trouble.”

“I had started on my way home from Wrexham to Anglesey when I remembered I needed some sheep feed. I Googled and found details of this hidden gem What a fantastic place! Great selection of products for smallholders, horse and pet owners, and they also had an array of craft items for sale behind the counter. 25kg baga here seemed to be around the same price as 20kg bags in my local Wynnstay. The H J Lea Oakes brand of feed sold here is excellent quality too.”

“My sweet greyhound experienced some loss of weight due to fretting for a few days at the start of his stay. Not carrying much weight to begin with, he lost weight rapidly and staff at Early Paws were concerned. Without going into the details, Early Paws staff cared for him, keeping him warm with a coat and putting the heater on in his kennel and tempted him to eat with tripe and extra feeds and managed to get his weight back. They liaised with me and my boy was fine and his usual self when I picked him up. BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF.”

“Have used Barnhouse for nearly twenty years. Staff are always helpful and kind. Absolutely no worries that our dogs will not be looked after properly, with plenty of time given during consultations.”

“Have used this vet for over 13 years. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Yes you may queue but you would at A&E and at least that means that the vet is giving your pet a thorough check over. All staff are so friendly and helpful.”

“I can't believe I haven't written a review for SATH yet. I would give them a thousand stars if I could. Erin in the internal medicine team saved my dog's life after her being wrongly treated at Pets at Home. We see Erin every six months and she spends the time to understand Bella's (often complex) needs and never rushes us. She and all the staff are so friendly, responsive, professional and caring. They genuinely care about animals there. Animal welfare and teaching are their priorities, not ripping off owners or pushing particular brands. I really appreciate Erin's teaching style which isn't at all condescending to her students. And I really admire Erin and her team's pragmatic and personalised approach to individual animals. They aren't strictly tied to black and white numbers on a piece of paper and consider the pet's clinical symptoms as well. Not all animals will fit in a threshold that was conjured up by a human decades ago. I really admire professionals who know how to use discretion and initiative. We are so thankful to Erin and SATH that we are writing them into our wills. Every extra second I get with my dog is precious but I have to balance this with her wellbeing. Erin has given my dog additional years of good quality life and I am so thankful to her. I am so grateful to have a teaching hospital in the NW. If you can get your pet to Liverpool then don't hesitate.”

“My horse went liverpool few weeks ago for rig surgery and they were fantastic they looked after him wonderfully and I was lucky enough not to have really big bill at the end what was good and had spoke about 6month plan with me just case was any problems. But I would say my pepper fully enjoyed his stay at Liverpool and I am so thankfull for all there help while he's been there 100% recommend”

“Fitted us in at the last minute when our dog Millie fell into a very muddy brook and just couldn’t get her clean at home. Millie doesn’t love being bathed/groomed (in fact she hates water of any kind) but came out of the groom room super clean, smelling delightful and with her nails trimmed perfectly too! Thank you so much. You may have gained a repeat customer (minus the brook incident again I hope!)”

“I couldn’t wish for better groomers for my dog, they are kind, helpful and give great advice. When my dog was acting out of character they were so patient with him and let me know how he was getting on. I would highly recommend the dog shack, there is no other groomer that would care for my dog as well as I do. The fact he comes home smelling and looking amazing is just an added bonus!”

“We always visit here for a breakfast, when we stay locally, and it never fails to deliver. The cafe also offers lucnh too. The food is delicious and plentiful, with a good menu range. The cakes are delicious too. Staff and management are friendly and attentive. This is a fantsastic little place.”

“We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Booked a double room for me and my wife. The service was excellent. On the evening prior to leaving I missed a phonecall from the owner wishing us all the best with the baby (my wife is pregnant!) and to say thank you for being a guest and she hoped we got to do everything we had planned. That was a very nice and thoughtful touch, I thought. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.”

“Tim Dale is the most amazing vet ever he really knows what he is doing, he really cares about your pet hes literally a life saver. I won't take my guinea pigs anywhere else, my guinea was so poorly and Tim spent a long time with him cleaning him up treating him and sorting out lots of medications and treatment plan for him, he skipped his own lunch break to save my pig in crisis. Tim is the man thank you I am forever grateful”

“Wonderful vets, we have all our cats registered here and apart from our new one they've all had a visit. Have always been supportive as well especially when we so sadly had to put one of our cats to sleep, such lovely staff. Would recommend.”

“My little Daisy had to be put to sleep on Thursday at the age of 16 (17 in May) due to chronic unmanageable arthritic pain. It was the hardest decision of my life. It's always only ever been me and my dog and I'm truly lost with out her. I write this review because 9 months ago I left a review on the mold site about how I felt Daisy's care was in good hands in her life with this teams help. We don't ever think how the end will go untill we are faced with it. Jack and amy were absolutely amazing on Thursday. They came out to my home and handled Daisy with care and respect and made it so comfortable and peaceful for her. I'm traumatised at the moment and feel heartbroken but I'm being blessed that in the flashbacks I see Jack handling her like you want anyone to handle your baby in those moments. Amy was incredible too... she held by little Daisy's face so gently and held her whilst the line was in after she lovingly sedated her. She to was caring and respectful with empathy too. I can't thank these amazing humans enough. I have alot of love for them. They carried my beautiful dog out with respect in a lovely blanket and assured me they would look after her which touched me so deeply. I often joked they were our family as we don't have family, but truly, I do feel Daisy was treated like more than a animal through out her care and right up until Thursday (more like a member of the Flint teams family). Jack? Amy? I truly have alot of love and respect for you. I also love Ange (Fints main receptionist) I say receptionist but she is also more important than that. This lady makes every dog welcome and daisy loved the one on one and Ange on our ladt list last month got down on the floor and sat talking to me whilst I was upset over Daisy's lack of quality of life. This woman loves animals and people and I love her for loving Daisy. Jim? Will?, Jordan? And Zoe? Love and respect to you all too for the care you gave my baby in her tough years that made vet trips more often in the last couple of years. Jack? The handwritten card has made my pain feel truly seen and a beautiful touch (I recieved it today on my first Saturday with out her) Love and hugs, Daisy's mum x”

“Recently had my gelding here for two weeks after surgery on a very nasty injury. I absolutely could not fault any of the staff. The team of vets, nurses and students worked so hard to keep him comfortable and treated him so well it really put me at ease through a very stressful time. Top notch facility!”

“Friendly, I have a very nervous dog. The owner will even sit outside with her so she gets used to her then take her in. When I go to pick up both my dogs, there wigging there tails, happy smell and look amazing. Highly recommended.”
