βIt's like a little dose of the Scottish Highlands just a few miles from Edinburgh. Pentland hills on the doorstep then back to relax in the hot tub or in front of the log burner. Great to escape from it all for a few days, exactly what we were after. Thank youβ
βI was traveling with my wife around Scotland when we stayed at Aaron Glen Guesthouse and found the experience to be wonderful! Carolyn greeted us warmly upon arrival and was available throughout our stay if needed. The rooms were very nice and well-updated in a classic bed and breakfast, the type of quaint setting we were looking for. Close enough to bus routes into Edinburgh, though a trade off is the area was more commercial than would be ideal. All this with a well-stocked kitchen and honesty bar made for an overall great time staying there and I would absolutely recommend it!β
βMichael and his team at Catseye were simply excellent. I was hesitant about leaving my kittens for the first time but staff were very reassuring and took time to collect information about their behaviour and eating habits. They also sent me regular updates and photos so that I could see they were happy and content. With spotless facilities, I would recommend Catseye without hesitation.β
βWe had never left our dog at a kennel before and we were so nervous, but she was so well taken care of. We have no reservations leaving her at this lovely kennel. We know that she got a lot of attention, because when we picked her, our very sensitive mongrel, was acting completely happy and normal. They said they practiced some training with her because she is so shy. They really take the time to get to know your dog.β
βAnother fantastic stay at these kennels for my two dogs, Fergus and Alba. They always get excited to get in when we arrive and love their βholidayβ . Would never go anywhere else as I know 100% that theyβre extremely well cared for and I donβt need to worry about them.β

βWe ate lunch today Saturday 12th July at The Balerno Inn for my mother's 87th birthday. We were a mixed age group of 8 and there was something for each of us. The food was absolutely delicious, we really couldn't fault it in any way. Service was attentive in all the right ways. There is a lovely little playground so our grandson of 16months was entertained there until his food was ready. Everyone was so friendly as well. I would highly recommend this place for all occasions.β
βVery beautiful house with great hosts and a delicious breakfast...will definitely stay here again, when back in Edinburgh β€οΈβ
βFabulous apartment in the most perfect location - easy walking distance to everywhere you want to go in Edinburgh. Great restaurants and shops on the doorstep - honestly, you couldn't ask for better. The apartment is spacious, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a great stay.β
βGreat food and the attentive staff especially a lovely lass named Ruby who is top class and very efficient and friendly.β
βLovely, chic and beautifully decorated b&b! The host was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very big, modern and most importantly - with a comfortable, big bed. It's in excellent location for the beach and with excellent public transport links to Edinburgh city centre. A must visit! Thank you Angela!β
βOur stay at Parkhead House was incredibly special. We recently spent two weeks in scotland, which included seven hotels. Parkhead House was one of our favorites. It was so charming, especially with the open fields in the back which included sheep and deer. James and Angela made us feel like cherished guests. The breakfast was wonderful and our own table was set beautifully. I love that James came to the door to great us. He has a wonderful connection to Outlander and I cant think of a better place to stay if you want to see Lollybroch! It was a perfect, homelike retreat. Thank you James and Angela for be such wonderful hosts.β
βI N C R E D I B L E. Booked us an Afternoon Tea experience, and then we were able to have a whiskey in the Whiskey Room β absolutely perfect time! The service is impeccable, the property is beautiful, and every detail is noted β truly, flawless! Thank you for a lovely splurge and excellent date afternoon.β
βA delicatessen for dogs! What a wonderful range of food and treats. They really know their products and their customers. A very good range of leads and collars. A small but very comprehensive range of toys too. However it's their huge range of beds that surprised me. I really wish I'd known before we bought our dog his bed. Amazon can't really give you a decent idea of bed scale and certainly can't let you actually feel the beds! My only quibble? I always buy far more than I ever plan to!β
βThe Balmoral was an incredible hotel to stay at. The service was like no other. I unfortunately fell ill my second day into our trip and the hotel offers a service where a physician comes to the hotel to be checked out. This alone made me feel like I was being taken care of and I was appreciated as a guest. The staff was always so kind and cheerful. I am hoping to make my way back to Scotland so I can see more of this beautiful place!β
βThis is by far the best hostel I have stayed in. The staff is super friendly, they have so many different events every night to get you to socialize with other travellers. When traveling and staying in hostels you don't always want to buy a whole bottle of oil or some salt and pepper, at Castle Rock they have tons of different spices, oil, free tea, coffee and even plant-based milk available for you to use! This is the first time I've stayed in a hostel with so many things. They have a super cozy movie room too. And a quite lounge where you can go chill in silence if that's what you prefer.β
βAbsolutely brilliant place for my dog to go and I know he is safe and well looked after. Alan, Michelle and their son Andrew are just amazing with all the animals they look after. Caring and thoughtful. The staff they have working with them are just a fabulous team.β
βA superb place to hike; you can find many highland cows there in their wild, natural habitat. Be prepared to walk there off-road as the tracks finish as you go higher and higher. Would recommend taking hiking shoes as you have to walk on slippery or muddy surfaces. A coat is also highly recommended as it is very windy at the top.β
β**An Unforgettable Stay β Simply Outstanding!** Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine hospitality that we immediately felt at home. The room was absolutely stunning β beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and offering an unforgettable view of the cathedral that took our breath away. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, and the level of cleanliness was truly exceptional. The breakfast was a real highlight β delicious, fresh, and with a wide variety that left nothing to be desired. But what made our stay truly extraordinary was Paul and his amazing team. Their hospitality goes far beyond what one would expect β they anticipated our every need, made us feel truly special, and delivered a level of service we have never experienced before. Their passion, professionalism, and care are unmatched. This hotel is, without a doubt, *the place to be*. We cannot recommend it highly enough and are already looking forward to our next visit. A heartfelt thank you to Paul and the entire team β you made our stay unforgettable!β
βAfter having stayed in Whitworth Locke before in Manchester and having such a good experience, we decided to book this hotel in Edinburgh for my birthday trip! And weβre so glad we did! The rooms are beautiful as they always are in Locke hotels, the cafe downstairs was great. And staff were lovely and friendly! The lady that checked us in was particularly incredible! After having a sleepless night we arrived to the hotel a lot earlier than check in time and we were dreading having to stay out all day running on empty. We asked if there was any chance early check in was available and she allowed us to check in a lot earlier as our room was ready! We were really grateful for this and really appreciate hotels that offer little extras for guests! Thank you :)β
βSmall and quiet hotel, with very friendly staff and good food. Room was clean, cozy and beautiful. Loved to read the newspaper at the sitting room while sipping a cup of tea. There is free hotel car parkβ
βGreat service for tenants and landlords. Landlords are kept well informed and up to date on any maintenance issues and during the new tenancy process. Your property is in safe hands with the Property Letting Centre. I've used the Property Letting Centre for the past 6 years and have been more than happy with the service they provide. Small, friendly and knowledgeable team- thanks for everything!β
βPerfect holiday experience. Williamscraig is a set of several high spec holiday homes. 8 of our family stayed in Laurel cottage. It was spacious, well equipped and the beds were very comfy. There was plenty of parking. We made use of the hottub every night, explored the beautiful, peaceful surroundings on foot, and got to feed the gorgeous Highland cows. The town of Linlithgow was a lovely surprise including the stunning castle and St. Micheal's church. The regular trains from Linlithgow station meant Edinburgh and Glasgow are within easy reach for visiting.β
βVery friendly and helpful. Good knowledge of area and places to go. Facilities were excellent, level ground to park on. We were very pleased and will book the site again and let friends and family how good the place is.β
βThis place was a highlight of my trip to Edinburgh last year. The host was so friendly and welcoming with great conversation, her breakfasts are huge and delicious. Took care of my daughter and I like we were family.β
βThe perfect place to stay for our mini moon in Edinburgh! The rooms were really comfortable, with a huge bed with lovely bedding. The room had everything we needed: towels and toiletries, hot drinks, TV, as well as access to a lounge area. The location was lovely and quiet, while still being close to the centre on foot and by tram (nearest tram stop was 15 mins walk away). It was a great surprise that many aspects of the B&B were eco-friendly, from the toiletries to the sourcing of the food. John was a great host, super friendly and helpful. You can tell he cares about making sure people have a good stay!β
βLovely place, lovely staff, excellent service. I had to spent an unexpected extra night in Scotland because of a car breakdown, and they were the first place that had room for a family of 6. Location is excellent, great views from the lodge. Staff very friendly and great service. It made me wish I was a golfer so I would have a genuine reason to come back.β
βIf I could get the best surprise trip for my birthday, a huge chunk of it goes to Just B! An unconventional place run by exceptional people, Karo & Jeff along with their 2 adorable dogs, Sky & Blue! The welcome we received was the sign that we were going to have a great time here. I'd recommend everyone should have an experience of this place at least once.β
βLovely clean, spacious rooms.Ate in The Pub.Food, drink and service really good.We were served by Emma who was lovely, very friendly and smiley.Would definately stay here again.β
βThe Owner was friendly and the Lady who was looking after the caravan park whilst I stayed was very friendly and helpful. (Itβs terrible but after two and a bit months Iβve forgotten her name). The shower and toilet block were very new looking and clean. The kitchen was well set-up and modern also. The wifi was great in the kitchen.β
