“Bellfield Brewery, you have my heart. The atmosphere was already lovely, but we happened to visit on quiz night, which made it even more fun and lively. The beer selection was great, the staff were absolutely lovely, and the whole vibe was just spot on. When we went, there was a guest kitchen running — a burger place — and we tried the Oklahoma Burger. It was so good I couldn’t resist getting a second one! Out of the four nights we spent in Edinburgh, we dedicated one to Bellfield, and we’re so glad we did. It was one of the most memorable evenings of the trip. Next time I’m in Edinburgh, this will be right at the top of my list to revisit.”

“We ate lunch today Saturday 12th July at The Balerno Inn for my mother's 87th birthday. We were a mixed age group of 8 and there was something for each of us. The food was absolutely delicious, we really couldn't fault it in any way. Service was attentive in all the right ways. There is a lovely little playground so our grandson of 16months was entertained there until his food was ready. Everyone was so friendly as well. I would highly recommend this place for all occasions.”

“Omg what can I say. I took my wee Princess here today for a full groom for the first time. Will was amazing with her as she has always been nervous about getting a groom. We had a good chat while he let her roam about for a bit so she could have a good sniff and feel relaxed rather than just starting straight away which I thought was lovely. He really does have a caring nature for dogs. The cut itself is absolutely perfect, smooth and on point no scissor marks in sight! One happy pooch and one happy owner. “Went down on the off chance to see if we could get booked in on the dates we needed. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a man called Gary who was probably the most pleasant and helpful person I’ve dealt with in a very long time. He was extremely helpful… patient… and very informative and had an answer for every question we had. And some very helpful suggestions with regards to booking in the future. The place itself was spectacular in my opinion. Very clean… modern and so welcoming. The other kennels we went to see just looked grim and over crowded compared to this place. We booked our dog in for a day visit straight away to see how things go but I have to say I was blown away by the facilities on offer and the attitude of the staff”

“Visited the penguin enclosure at Edinburgh Zoo last week and it was amazing! The penguins were the mist of their mating season and we could observe their behavior. Unfortunately, Penguins Rock can smell a little fishy but that is expected given the nature of the exhibit. Would recommend if you visit Edinburgh Zoo.”

“We are still not out of the woods but wanted to reassure anyone who has to take their beloved pet here as an emergency that these people will do everything they can. My cat Winston was feeling poorly and not eating too well. After taking him to my normal vet (Dundas Veterinary Group: never again) they told me his creatinine value was 1200 which is not good. 24 hours of fluids and no pain management, only trying to get him some gabapentin via food which he wasn’t eating and his condition was not improving and second blood panel showed 2300 creatinine. I didn’t want to give up especially since no imaging had been done so we received a priority referral to the small animal hospital and the treatment and bedside manner has been night and day. Winston was put on antibiotics, fluids and imaging was done among other things. These things take time and as of this morning his kidney values are back to normal ! Even if things do not end the way we want, I am so comforted by the fact that my cat is getting the absolute best care. Thank you to Joel and Esther and the team for taking such good care your patients and their owners.”

“My little old man was very unwell and tired towards the end. The care and love the vet shown at this time was amazing. She was so lovely and made the moment easier. My boy looked like he just slipped peacefully. The after care was amazing also. I requested his footprints and I received a beautiful paw print in a keepsake box along with prints of his nose and a little glass bottle of his fur. A handwritten card and a pkt if forget me knot seeds. I was not expecting all that. These vets are caring and professional and not just doing their job the genuinely care.
