“We have stayed at this hotel, three times with our 2 dogs, in the past year. The staff are very friendly, helpful and always want to ensure you have a great stay. The breakfasts are lovely, with plenty of choice, and our dogs enjoy their sausages. We have also eaten at the restaurant in the evenings, and we have never been disappointed. The location is great, and in walking distance of the town centre, we particularly enjoy using the towpath. We look forward to returning again next year, and we highly recommend this hotel, if you are visiting the Skipton area.”

“We came here on a recce as looking for somewhere to book to bring my 90 year old father in law for his birthday. We were in our motorhome £15 per night including breakfast. Toilet facilities both separate and in hotel. The staff are lovely, attentive, friendly and funny ( good sense of humour) . Its dog friendly throughout even in the rooms apparantly. Needless to say we have booked the birthday celebrations which will be a surprise for him. All in all a great experience. Starters: garlic mushrooms and chef's pate.....delightful Mains seafood hanging kebab ( wasn't keen on) and chicken breast with garlic new potatoes, cream, leek and bacon sauce and seasonal veg....loved it. Oh and not forgetting desert....after eight tart with ice cream .....very nice and moreish especially with the crunchy bit on top. Would thoroughly recommend.”

“Had an absolutely amazing stay here over the weekend. Staff couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome, spacious room with a FANTASTIC shower, right in the centre of town as well which was perfect for us. Breakfast was included in the coatvof the room and was massive and so tasty! Would definitely stay again.”

“We stayed at the house at york lakeside lodges. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. We stayed 2 days to visit york Christmas Market. Only 6 min drive to york city. Staff were helpful, lovely location, good amenities.”

“Love this place. Its turned into the go-to whenever I work in the area. All staff are great, rooms are so clean and presentable, and food in the pub is so lovely. Breakfast cooked to order and a really good dinner menu at excellent prices. Highly recommend it and will be back again.”

“We came across the service station because our car's wheel was cracked and we got left stranded in England. We decided to book a room to stay the night and figure things out the next day. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They were so empathetic to our situation and offered to help us with parking so we don't get a fine whilst we figure things out. It was such an unexpected act of kindness that was very much appreciated at that stressful time.”

“We had an unplanned stay having been stuck in traffic for 7 hours. We arrived late in the evening. A lovely chap called Cain helped me book a room. His service was impressive. He was welcoming and friendly. An asset to Travel lodge. Clean room , comfy beds. Would definitely recommend.”

“Stayed for 3 nights in September, and it was just fine. Pub opposite not very friendly, but good beers. Breakfast was pretty good - I don't usually eat in hotels - I prefer to go out to local outlets, but they were all very expensive, so went with the hotel. It was very good, especially the sausages. Mind you the eggs were just instant scrambled ones - not very nice. Good location, would recommend for a stay in Harrogate.”

“It's a budget hotel in a great location. It's not 5 star but that's not what it's meant to be. If you want a cheap, clean room in a good location with the added bonus of a Wetherspoons next door then it's ideal”

“Stayed here in the carpark overnight so we could get to an appointment the next day at 9.30 instead of leaving home at stupid o’clock. The staff were great and very helpful and friendly, and out dog loved the free home made doggie biscuits The food was brilliant and all homemade fresh.”

“Had a great 2 day stay , the management were so helpful and generous when we had to unexpectedly change our reservation. The family room we stayed in was great, plenty of room , clean and a nice en-suite. The cooked breakfast was made to order so nice and fresh , with cereals , toast and other items were all on hand for you to help yourself . Free guest parking at the back of the property. We will definitely be booking again when we come up to Yorkshire.”

“Clean, comfortable, peaceful and cheap. Lots of parking and convenient for the university and the local buses to get into the city centre, which run often and have a reasonable price. We arrived late and left early, not having any food and so cannot comment on that.”

“Perfect location to the centre, I've stayed here twice. First time went smoothly lovely clean room. Second time, our bathroom toilet and shower overflowed from blocked drains. We were quickly changed rooms to freshen up before leaving for home. Would definitely recommend and will be staying again.”
