“I've been coming 'the Snig' for 15 years and it's always had a place in my heart. Now that Brad has done the place up its looking even fresher. This along with the fact Joseph Holts Manchester Brewery is involved means there's a fine selection of bevvies too.”

“Everything was just perfect.The apartment was so clean, beds were comfortable, lounge area very comfortable, the kitchen had everything you need and very clean , bathrooms were spotless and showers powerful. Staff at reception were excellent and very friendly. Location was amazing right in the centre and only a short walk to all the attractions, restaurant and shops. I cannot recommend this place enough it was excellent!!”

“The person who left without paying when i was there should be a shamed of themselves the hotel is spotlessly clean he only put on about it being not being clean to get out of paying jo and azzif who own the hotel cant do enough for you ive been staying there 15 years sometimes 4 times a year who ever you are you must have do e it before he didnot have the guts to talk to the owners”

“My partner and I stayed at the Victoria hotel for 2 nights and it was one of the best places we've stayed. Ian was an incredible host, so helpful and kind. The room and bathroom were lovely, lots of space and so clean. The bed was beyond comfy! There's a kitchen for if you want to make food, bread and cereal is available and you can get plates and cutlery for take aways. There's a car park and a lovely roof terrace! I can't recommend the Victoria hotel enough.”

“Lovely big place, with disabled access. Great freshly cooked breakfast (£7.50 extra) as I only stayed 1 night. Tea/coffee in rooms. Nice and warm & polite, nothing is too much trouble staff. Staying 1 night again soon.”

“Beautiful stay again at Thornton Hall hotel. Old school service where customers are valued, the staff are so friendly. Rooms are spotless and so comfortable. Great deals at the moment where you can use the spa as well. The spa is a special place so relaxing. Just love this hotel I have been many times and just feel it gets better with each visit.”

“Excellent all round. The only disappointment was that breakfast did not open until 8am and we had to be at a training course near Liverpool by 8.30am so we had to rush and no time to enjoy the variety of food on offer.”

“Didn't stay here but booked for a Christmas party of 12. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the lovely staff and owner...I have to say our whole party commented how impressed they were with the food which was I have to say exceptional. I had garlic mushrooms which were amazing then turkey dinner with best roast potatoes I have had at a restuarant..so nice we asked for more and staff happily obliged..the veg were also lovely sprouts cooked to perfection and a carrot and swede mash which was really tasty...pudding was gin cheesecake again really lovely and well presented. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and lady in charge very chatty and pleasant...all our party echoed the same sentiment..we all had a wonderful time..thank you.”

“Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Had a very warm welcome when we arrived. We booked a standard double Room which included breakfast.. Room was very clean, we didnt hear anything or see anybody on our floor(5th) Room was quite dark but that was its style. Bed was comfy and had no issues with the bathroom, we soon worked out how to flush the toilet!! All the staff we spoke too were freindly Breakfast had a lovely choice, nice to have hot food cooked to order and not sitting under a hot lamp with hordes of people getting in the way. Location was really good, short walk to museums and liverpool one. A bit further to Liverpool Lime Street, but the receptionist kindly offered to book us a taxi which turned up on time for our return journey. One tip get some taxi numbers from Reception. Try and avoid getting in a Black Cab we think we were ripped off big time. Thoroughly recommend this hotel. Much better than the experience we had at a well known chain of hotels where we stayed 2 years ago. Would not hesitate to stay at Malmaison again. Also fantastic hotel to stay if going on a cruise ,right oppisite cruise terminal.”

“The location was perfect, right in the city centre at the beginning of Bold Street. We were given a spacious two bedroom apartment with a nice view of the street. The staff, especially Elizabeth (Liz) at the reception, was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. She made us feel comfortable from the very first moment. They kindly stored our luggage for free when we arrived early, and even called us at 1 PM to let us check in earlier than the standard time. The apartment was clean, well organized, and the kitchen was fully equipped. At checkout, they also kept our luggage until 7 PM, which was very convenient.”

“Lovely hotel which is great for families. Great, convenient location with plenty of parking. Nice swimming pool with sauna, steam room, jacuzzi. Nice, well equipped gym. The rooms are very nice although the bathroom we had was a little dated maybe, but not the end of the world clearly. We didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evenings but breakfast everyday was lovely with a large selection of hot and cold items to suit all tastes. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful throughout the stay. We also left an item behind in the room by accident so rang them, and they were super helpful and pro-active in arranging for the item to be sent back to us.”

Despite the short notice, the staff at Premier Inn Rainhill were incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially Dave, who went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and comfortable. The hotel is small and located a bit far from the city centre, but the area is peaceful and well-connected, making it a convenient choice if you're okay with a short commute. Dave made a real difference—he was attentive, friendly, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Overall, a great experience that turned a stressful day into a comfortable one. We’ll definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to Liverpool!”

“Just returned from a 2 night stay here with my wife and daughter , family room was perfect for us as our daughter is 6 and loved it being us all together , room was very clean and they added a nice touch with a Easter hunt for a hidden chick to redeem a prize from reception . Started the stay off really well , we stayed in the annex building of the hotel . It was quiet and peaceful in the evening . The restaurant in with the hotel was a beefeater restaurant/pub , we opted for the meal deal . So our daughter got free breakfast , and we got our breakfast and 2 course evening meal and first drink included . Food was great . Freshly cooked , even the hot breakfast . I think it was £5.99 for 2 courses for our daughter to add onto our evening meal . The staff in both the restaurant and the hotel were a credit to the companies . So friendly , welcoming and great at engaging conversation with us . Location was great as we went to formby beach before checking in ( around 20 mins away ) and then to Southport the following day in Uber which only cost £10 each way ! Thank you so much for making our little Easter getaway a happy one”

“Stayed in a family room whilst at a family wedding. Check in was warm and welcoming and our room was spacious and well equipped. We ate in the restaurant the first evening and stayed for Sunday lunch before we left. Food was lovely on both occasions. The proximity to the beach and train station is a high plus point. Less than 10 minutes walk to each. We’d definitely consider staying here again when visiting family.”

“10/10 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and spa. Lots of free parking available on arrival we were offered a complimentary cookie (vegan and gluten free option available) which was a lovely touch. The spa was beautiful and treatments were amazing. All the staff were lovely and helpful. The room was also very nice and clean. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The food in the garden room was amazing thanks to the chef James and our server Ava was amazing and made sure my dietary requirements were met. Breakfast was also great. Overall 10/10 experience and I’ll be back”

“We have stayed at Leonardo hotels previously. This like the others was clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had breakfast here, good choice and some items good be ordered ie poached or scrambled eggs and vegan sausage. Also oatmeal to order There was gf cereals and bread,with a separate toaster and plant based milks. Our room was very large,it is probably available for wheelchair users, but it was a bath with shower over, so that could be difficult.”

“We had our wedding here in July 2024. What an amazing day it was. The staff were brilliant and couldn’t do enough! Everything we needed was included in the dream wedding package. From the ceremony set up, to the reception to the food and the evening party, everything was how I wanted it and nothing was to much. I would definitely recommend rossett hall. We will never forget our special day and all the effort that you put in to it.”
