“We stayed at this delightful hotel for just a few days and will return again. Breakfast was great and so was dinner. It’s centrally located in the town so you can walk to many places. There is just one concern we had: all rooms are one to two flights up with no elevator.”
“Genuinely tasty food all round, friendly service in a proud family setting. A real community asset”
“Great stay with the family. Super friendly staff who welcomed us, after a delayed flight, at 3am still with a smile and genuine care. Excellent breakfast. Location is perfect in a calm location yet walking distance from Usk center.”
“We had an excellent stay here in a camper van on our way back from Pembroke dock to London. The really friendly welcome and good food were great and the use of a shower and loo 24/7 are a splendid extra to have. It is so refreshing to find a pub that it still a pub and not a wannabe coffee shop. There were a couple of other campers parked up too and the atmosphere was family friendly and quiet. I'd recommend the Olway Inn for a visit with or without staying the night.”
“Extremely comfortable rooms and easy access to Bristol airport by foot. They have thought of everything and above and beyond a bed for the night. Easy to access without an attended reception. Will be a returning customer.”
“Amazing. Our room was lovely. Staff were lovely (thanks Noah in the bar). Perfectly located for everywhere. Lovely breakfast. I wish the walled garden had been promoted a little more as we didn't know it was there. Lovely free standing bath in our bathroom. Super fluffy towels. Lots of lovely little lounges to sit in and free tea/coffee and newspapers. I begrudge paying to park”
“A last minute online search for a hotel resulted in a wonderful but brief stay at Harington's. Beautifully clean room with charming, quirky decor. Extremely comfortable bed with quality bedlinen. Very peaceful at night with no noise from the street. In the morning a delicious breakfast, cooked fresh to order with good coffee. Super service from all staff, especially the lady on reception as I arrived very late in the evening and she sent me two texts with information and to make sure I was on my way. I will definitely return and recommend to others. Only slight downside was the lack of black out blinds as the street lights did come through the curtains.”
“Very nice cafe. Really nice breakfast. We will definitely come here again. Clean and tidy place throughout.”
“Near Shirenewton but on the main road. Good access . Plenty of parking . Old fashioned pub . But the food is home cooked and tastes delicious . Managed a pudding that was lovely . Well worth a visit. Did not take advantage of the rooms there but the restaurant was clean and tidy , with good old fashioned welcome by the landlady .”
“We stayed overnight on 22nd October ready for an early flight the next day from Bristol Airport. The room is great, it was clean, had a TV, tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits (which were well received as we arrived late at night). We'd booked parking there for our week away and felt confident that our car was safe there. We had their minibus to take and pick us from the airport which was only a few minutes drive away. Would definitely use again.”
“I stayed for one night, and it was my first time doing so. The property is very well decorated and appointed and well as being very, very clean. Check-in was simple, and the lady checking me was brilliant and helpful. The rooms are well above average. The pillows, quilt, towels, and accessories are all of a very high quality. Overall, it was a very pleasant place to stay, and I will do so again.”
“Fabulous. Can't fault it. Warm welcome, complimentary drink and a very comfortable room in a lovely old country inn. Dinner was delicious, breakfast was too. All in a beautiful, quiet setting only 10 minutes from Bristol Airport. We will definitely be back!”
“We had our annual family Christmas meal here over the weekend, and they looked after our group wonderfully. We were a big group of 25 but nothing was too much hassle. Great, reasonably priced food, nice atmosphere (and customers!) and friendly staff. Johan and his team looked after us so well and everyone had a great time. Thanks for having us & we’ll be back!”
“Booked in for Sunday roast which I can honestly say was the best roast I've had for a long time. So many pubs do roast very average but this was way above that. Everything was cooked lovely and the service was great. Well worth a visit and we'll definitely be back.”
“An absolutely fantastic venue and staff! My daughter got Married here in December & we couldn’t have asked for more! Everything was perfect & the staff did a marvellous job through the weekend! A special mention to Jenna who braved the rain with drinks while the last photos were taken! You’re a star!!”
“Stayed one night in one of the chalets before an early visit to the Arboretum. Only wish we’d stayed a second night! The chalet was lovely, really nicely done and cosy. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner in the pub near the fire. Will be back!”
“Had a absolutely lovely Sunday roast pork today. Started with a prawn cocktail which was more then I expected size wise. The roast was cooked just right , great Yorkshire pudding to match. Service was quick , polite and checked on how our food was and checked if there was anything they could do. 10/10 on all counts. Was also unusual for someone from Australia to eat in a pub that was built in 1590. Great atmosphere, well done to all”
“Just returned from spending two nights at this wonderful hotel. It recently has undergone refurbishment which has been thoughtfully carried out. The rooms are very comfortable, big beds, excellent pillows. The amenities in the room are of the highest quality, including the little bottles of milk in the room fridge. The grounds are beautiful landscaped and are fully furnished with seating, outdoor heating and a pizza oven in an under cover area. The Upper Deck restaurant is of high quality, providing a menu that is fitting if the best restaurants, certainly recommend the roasted shallots as a side dish. Wine selection is excellent and reasonably priced. The bar area offers a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits. The staff are amazing, Kirsty the reception went above and beyond ensuring our stay was very pleasant. The location of the hotel is close to Tintern Abbey and some very nice walks and Chepstow is only 15 minutes away by car. Thank you The Royal George we will hopefully be returning for your wonderful hospitality.”
“Lovely, cosy pub with a log burner, 5 real ales, 3 real ciders, good options on tap and an excellent whiskey selection. The whiskeys were all £6.30 for a double, which is incredibly good value and the pints were less than a fiver as well!”
“We moved from the centre of Bristol recently and that was literally the best roast we've had in or out of Bristol in years. My partner is veggie and is very particular about the veggie options in pubs and said it was fantastic. I had the best, crispiest pork belly iv had in a very long time. Properly cheesy cauliflower cheese and lovely veg! All in all, worth the price! And they have gorge best ale on! Brilliant! Will definitely be back!”
“Staff were really friendly on arrival checking in and throughout our stay. The location is right in the middle of golf course. We had the breakfast here which is reasonably priced and there’s a decent menu. It was good. Had one evening meal here as well. Lots of choice and the meals our group had they all enjoyed. Pizza was lovely. Good selection of drinks at the bar. The rooms are nice and clean. Bed is comfortable, was a sofa in our room nice bonus. Has all the amenities you need. It was the perfect location for our stay to explore the nearby area. Loads of parking.”
“We recently had a wonderful stay at The Bath Priory Hotel whilst visiting our eldest at University. The location was perfect — peaceful yet only a short walk into town. Our room was spacious and luxurious, with views of the beautiful gardens. Breakfast was delicious, though service was a little on the slow side unfortunately. A special mention to the gardener, who truly made our stay memorable. She took the time to show us around parts of the garden, shared her incredible knowledge, helped carry our bags to the car, and even picked a few flowers for my husband and I as we left. Such a thoughtful gesture — we’ll never forget. We both said how refreshing it was to meet such a kind & enthusiastic young person. The facilities at the Spa were well maintained, creating a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. A perfect place to unwind — we look forward to coming back again.”
“The hotel is in a perfect spot, easy to find and close to everything. It was spotless throughout, which made our stay feel comfortable and relaxed. A special mention must go to Shannon on the front desk, who made such a wonderful first impression. She greeted us with genuine warmth, professionalism, and a bright smile that instantly made us feel welcome. It’s rare to meet someone who combines friendliness with such efficiency, she really set the tone for our stay. Shannon is a real credit to the team and made all the difference to our experience.”
“Absolutely superb from startbto finish. Met by the gentleman doorman...reception staff were brilliant. Stunning room and incredible facilities. Loved the smooth radio station on in the room to arrive to. Great bar staff, excellent service, just wish we had the time to have had our evening meal there. Perfect location. Historic and so well maintained. The breakfast was second to none. Highly Highly recommend it.”
“We had a wonderful stay! We originally booked a standard room but were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to the best suite in the hotel — and the hospitality was truly exceptional from start to finish. There were lovely little touches waiting for us when we arrived, and when we returned from dinner, we found a thoughtful box of cheeses, the curtains drawn, and the bed beautifully prepared for the night. The hotel’s location is very central, which meant it could be a little busy and noisy at times, but the mattress was so comfortable that we still had one of the best nights of sleep we’ve ever had in a hotel! We also booked massage treatments and spent time enjoying the spa facilities — both were absolutely amazing. Every member of staff was attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make our stay special. It was such a memorable experience, and we’ll definitely return when visiting Bath again — or perhaps try one of their other properties elsewhere.”
“We absolutely loved this location. The friendly staff made it possible to get a table for us spontaneously. The location is just how I want a pub to look like. Cozy but tidy. Food was very delicious, so that I would definitely recommend.”
“Lovely little place, very welcoming staff and very reasonably priced drinks! Thank you”
“Fab stay - rooms beautifully decorated and clean. Locations right in the middle of town and easy to find. Staff were very friendly and helpful too. Breakfast was great value and loved the little details like the pillow spray in the room. Would definitely stay again.”
“Nice clean accommodation in a great location parking can be interesting just room for three cats outside but two decent sized carparks very close by.”
“We had a wonderful stay in the bunkhouse. Host Peta was friendly & welcoming. Accommodation was warm, comfortable & had everything we needed with the added extra of a hot tub. Great little find & enjoyed our stay. Perfect location for a visit to Longleat Safari Park.”
