She’s not only brilliant at what she does, but she’s also incredibly caring and attentive. It’s clear she genuinely loves dogs – Buddy is always at ease with her and comes away looking (and smelling!) fantastic every time. “I’ve been taking my cocker spaniel Walter to Joanne for some time and she is just brilliant with him. He is quite the drama Queen when it comes to being groomed and use to get quite stressed especially when near his paws, but Joanne is patient and very professional. He always looks and smells amazing when leaves, I wouldn’t take him anywhere else. Highly recommend.”

“Lio loves coming here. I booked Lio in and the morning of his groom he was attacked by another dog, opening a wound behind his ear. Oce was very understanding and very well skilled in dealing with a injured dog. Lio did not notice or care that he was being washed. Not only was he treated well and enjoyed his groom, but we had some specific requirements in terms of trimming that Lio needed and they were met perfectly. Thank you very much”

“This was my Labrador Bertie’s first time in a groomers and what a lovely experience it was ! Bertie was made feel at ease straight away and he trotted off with Amy he had a fabulous groom and he smelt lovely with his coat all shiny and clean I would recommend Wash & Wag to snyone”

“Jane is a lovely lady and an extremely talented groomer. She listened attentively to the smallest detail of how I wanted my Norfolk terrier groomed and produced perfection to our delight! (Sadly he had been groomed poorly prior to our visit to Jane.) She was so gentle with him, he is 15 and a half and went out of her way to make him very comfortable throughout the process (think he was a bit reluctant to leave her lol). Undoubtedly, highly recommended and of course we are going back. ❤️”

“I've been taking my English Bull Terrier to Andi since he was a pup. We had obedience classes and lead training too. She's been fantastic with him and taught him to be patient while being bathed and groomed. I wouldnt go anywhere else! Thank you for being one of few that doesnt turn their nose up at our dog because of his breed. He absolutely loves coming to the shop, especially for pigs ears!!”

And all of us agreed the food we were served by very amiable staff was excellent.The food was served hot which is important too all of us. Also the food was perfectly cooked and presented on the plate to a very high standard. We are all going again next week knowing we’re going to get a great tasting breakfast.”

“Cliffs have been helping me with all my DIY needs for 10 years. Amazingly helpful staff and a genuine independent local business. Great prices. Get yourself to Cliffs before thinking about Wickes, Homebase, Screwfix etc. They also have a superb timber and timber cutting service.”

Treated urinary tract infection and again, went above and beyond to help. If anyone can help Mileusnic can and their sister branch at Birstall, Winer Chemists are equally commendable. “Amazing company! I have used them for a variety of Hypoallergenic food needs and medication for various issues. I have also used there remote video vet consultation when one was required on the weekend for us. It was really straight forward, video was commenced by purely clicking a link by text message on my phone which is really wonderful as it means I didnt have to wrestle installing any apps. The Vet was very helpful and professional and gave us the advice we required. Incredible price as well. This is a great company, will continue to use them as our go to site for our needs.”

“We stumbled across this EXCELLENT shop quite by accident looking for an anti pluck vest for Buster, our 20 yr old African Grey. She had a Very Bad experience with an ex partner of my wife. We had tried every remedy and additive etc and nothing worked. The knowledge these girls have about parrots oosed out of the pages of their website. Upon visiting yesterday, finding plenty of good toys and good quality feed and equipment etc, not just for Buster but for Mary our 15 yr old Royal Python. After picking a few items required (some lovely S/H feed bowls very cheap), we spoke to the staff and came away with a completely new plan to help Buster with some great advice given on how to move forward. We will DEFINATELY be back and have found a Real Gem of a place that is firmly in our address book and first port of call for anything Exotic Pet wise. Thnx girls. Buster loved her Breakfast as per her new diet an seeds germinating for her in the next few days. Thnx Again Pete N Deb”

“Woody's are absolutely fantastic, honestly the best pet shop in Leeds. Liv who runs the shop is an absolute Gem. We met her at a market, and she was so helpful and gave us so much helpful advise. We're first time dog owners, very nervous and our French Bulldog Elsie is already our world. Liv always is so helpful letting us know what is safe for Elsie, the best way to offer her different things, but always in a way that is helpful and never judgemental towards or lack of knowledge. We know we can ask questions and will get realy helpful and genuine answers. The shop is spacious, accessible and there are so many amazing things. There's such lovely help on what to choose, and it's all really affordable. Me and my partner are autistic and we love how there's no loud music, and gentle lighting. We can't wait to keep coming with Elise, and it's great to be able to be giving money to a local buisiness that we know really cares about and understands the animals instead of a bigger chain.”
