“I have tried everytype of food for a picky eating dog and not one has achieved the results that the food I get from Nell's gets, clean bowl every time, the advice and friendliness of the staff is and has always been spot on, it's a great shop and my go to place for anything dog related, I was recommended there by a friend and have been using for nearly a year now and as I said I tried everything before and nothing works as well as what the team at Nell's advised. They are a very reliable family run business who are willing to go above an beyond to help say for instance they dont have something you require the day you go they will a few days later, very helpful and well priced with a good selection of stock for all animals. She stayed here twice and both times we were kept up to date every day and they were always on the other end to answer any questions we had - the staff are all really friendly which reassured me that my girl was in good hands. The second treatment cured her condition which is fantastic news, she has come home so full of beans and healthier. When Gareth arrived he didn't rush us and told us to take as much time as we needed before he took Izzy on her final journey. Gareth brought Izzy's ashes back to us the next day. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants an excellent caring service at such a sad and difficult time.”

“Both our dogs Billy & Jack stay a few times a year. Jo and her team are fantastic. Jack had a spinal injury 4 years ago and once he was walking again albeit somewhat wobbley Jo was able to start taking him again. The boys love it. We are very reassured when they stay”

“First time we have used elmsall kennels and I can say will definitely use them again. Mabel our 2 year labrador was a little nervous but she is of most people to begin with . But they put my mind at ease straite away with how genuinely caring they where with her. We picked her up two weeks later and mabel was fine well cared for not just left in a cage till we came back . She was walked twice a day compared to the previous one last year that she stayed in . So basically if you love your dog or cat I would highly recommend elmsall kennels and cattery. 10/10”

“Excellent place to stay for quiet and to be honest it's why we went. The carriage has everything needed for a comfy and pleasant stay and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. Skipwith common was excellent for the dog. Loved the place and will return. It should go without saying but you will need a car if you intend on going to towns and villages. Can't speak highly enough of Skipwith Station, book it.”

“Have been going here twice a year since before COVID, the leaflet really does not do it justice. Rod and Peggy cannot do enough for you. You only have to ask. I am a wheelchair user and there is plenty of room for me to move around. I also do craft stuff, so if my husband wants to do something I can stay in and he can go where he wants. I cannot recommend this place enough, nor the amenities, and York is not that far away, and the Designer Outlet is even closer. You will also fine the Park and Ride here and use this bus into York saves all the hassle of driving around Looking for car parking.”

“Absolutely loved our stay! The cottage was cozy, spotless, and surrounded by stunning scenery. Close to the city centre too! Perfect for a peaceful getaway. We’ll definitely be back!”

“We stayed for one night with a four legged friend, en route to see friends. A lovely quiet site, fabulous showers, large pitch. Lisa was really helpful in suggesting great restaurants. We would stay again.”

“We cannot recommend this B&B enough. Simon's porridge and full English breakfasts were wonderful, with homemade bread readily available. Our room room was clean and beyond comfortable. To name a few amenities, there were heated towel racks, robes, and locally-made, excellent mattresses. Both host and hostess went above and beyond to help us navigate a few unexpected circumstances by connecting us with local resources. We will be returning if we can!!!”

“I cannot fault this accommodation it was just perfect for my 70th birthday family celebration. The rooms were so lovely and clean and it felt like it was home from home. The family particularly enjoyed the pool table. The location was also perfect it was close to shops and places to eat and it was a 4 min walk along the castle wall into the centre of York. I would definitely recommend this accommodation. The hosts were very accommodating as well and nothing was too much trouble. Hopefully we will be going back there again in the near future.”

“Both my girls a very large dogs, Leanne and her team always do a wonderful job, they are golden doodles and by the time they are ready for grooming believe me they need it, they come back looking beautiful and always with a little bow round there necks I can not thank Leanne and the team enough. “Lovely secure field for dogs. Love to path around, and the undercover. We had taken toys with us but there were plenty of toys there to keep both of mine happy. The best I've visited yet. Worth the 30 minute travel .”

“I have used MBF service since February and I am really pleased with the service. Doris (my miniature dachshund) was only a puppy when joining the group and she has grown into an extremely sociable and friendly dog. She has great recall and absolutely loves going on her walks. The service has fitted Doris in last minute and communication has always been great, receiving updates after every day she has been with them. Couldn’t be happier with the service and would definitely recommend.”

“Sue is the best dog walker that we have had for Nala (she’s had a few in 8 years)! She genuinely loves dogs and that is reflected in the great care and attention she gives to all the dogs she walks! She is reliable, kind and is the only person we trust to have Nala overnight because we know she’s in safe hands!
