“I first saw K9 Comfort advertised on Facebook and the beds looked amazing. I'm always a bit wary with things advertised on Facebook, some things end up not being the quality they claim so I took my time and had good read of the reviews and a look at the website. I emailed a query regarding the size that would be best for a particular weight of dog and was amazed to get a reply so quick. The advice was great and Josh was so happy to help. I ordered a XL for my girl and it came within 2 days which was amazing. There was a small issue with slight damage to the cover however after a quick email to Josh another was on its way. No problem whatsoever. The quality is great and the support for her joints is wonderful. My girl is a rescue who had been in kennels in Spain for a long time. At near 9 years old she is just amazing and truly deserves the best. She loves her bed and that's all that matters. Yes the bed isn't cheap but it will last and last I am more than sure of that. Removable washable covers too what more can you ask for!”

“I would just like to thank you all for making the last journey for Charlie calm and comfortable as possible, Charlie was 14 and it was the biggest decision we had to make to pick up the phone but from me making the call to getting his ashes Serenity Vets made the whole process as calm and comfortable for Charlie as possible. When the vet came out she didn't rush us in any way at all she left us with Charlie and said take as much time as you it is a heartbreaking decision we had to make but Charlie his free from pain now thank you once again we would definitely recommend your kind service.”

“We had our cat stay here for 10 days for the first time. We were a bit apprehensive to leave him as he has not experienced a cattery before but Jenny put our mind at ease. Booking the cattery was easy and very informative. We went for a visit prior and Jenny was really fabulous with the other cats who seemed really happy and would come to the door for a stroke when Jenny came in. The cattery was clean and well looked after. Whilst away Jenny kept in contact with us by sending photos/videos and updates on how our cat was doing. We will definitely be rebooking here again in the future. Thank you Unstone Farm Cattery for taking such good care of our cat”

“Kelly is very experienced, and great at what she does. She is very patient, and can put even the most stubborn dogs like mine, through their paces. She is very pleasant and polite, as well as being very skilled. She's also very personal, and you never pass another dog either going in or coming out. The improvement in movement is clear to see, and after having a dog that never had physio or hydrotherapy following surgery, and Summer having had physio and hydrotherapy, the difference is amazing. She even sits properly now. Summer loved going to see Kelly, and we'd strongly recommend here, if your dog needs physio or hydrotherapy.”

“I had a Zoom appointment with Dr. Ellie. I live in the U.S. and was thrilled to be able to meet with a guinea pig expert. She was thorough, efficient, caring, very knowledgeable, and invested. It was an extremely worthwhile visit! I also appreciated the extensive follow-up notes she provided and the time she took to compile them. I wouldn’t hesitate to schedule another appointment with her in the future when needed!”

“Our Border Collie had a cruciate ligament injury and was operated on at Frank's in Leeds. The physio rehab with Sarah was excellent and met Lulu's needs entirely. Sarah is very knowledgeable, understands totally the needs of the dog at the various stages of rehabilitation and suggested exercises that were challenging but highly appropriate. We are so glad we had Sarah's support.”

“Really lovely place, we were nervous to leave our rabbits given how fragile they can be to stress but needn't have worried. We got updates and photos whilst on holiday and the 2nd time we used Rose Lodge we were confident they would be just fine. The lady who runs it is lovely and showed a genuine interest in our pets. “I put my cat in willow tree cattery for a week while I went on holiday. Its the first time he's been in a cattery and was upset to leave him. He was absolutely fine and was well looked after. I needn't have worried. Would definitely recommend and will be using again.”

“We, as nervous first time cat adopters, needed a few days away so asked for recommendations for a good cattery. Top cats was our first choice. Greeted by Jade, we were shown around the facility and all our questions were answered and we felt completely reassured that Willow (our cat) would cope well during her first stay away from us. On our return, found Willow to be perfectly chilled and clearly had become attached to the staff there. So much so, she didnt want to go back in her cat transporter! First class, friendly service and we will have no hesitation in using Top Cats in the future. Thank you for looking after Willow.”

“Lynne and the team provide an excellent service, the dogs clearly enjoy the experience as seen in the pupdates which are sent on request (being sensible of course with the times of requests). They are dog owners and are very responsible. Only issue is very popular and you need to get you booking in early. Strongly recommend.”

“My cats have stayed here twice now and are booked in again for the end of this year. Diana who runs the cattery is lovely and the little updates on facebook are great for checking in on your cats. The cattery is spotlessly clean and all the visitors are well looked after. I cannot believe how confident one of my cats has become since he started staying here! It's like a little holiday for your pets and they are given lots of treats, toys and cuddles. I would not take my cats anywhere else but here! Great value and so much love inside for the cats ❤️”

“Towerhouse is simply beautiful! It's like a penthouse for cats. There view is of a pond, chickens and a field of horses. It reminds me of the darling buds of May. Thankyou Maggie for looking after our cat! I Highly recommend this cattery!!!!”

“Great cattery. Debbie and Liz clearly love cats and work hard to ensure they all know it. Sometimes I wonder if our cat, George, would rather stay with them then come home :) I feel very comfortable dropping him off there and know that he will be very well looked after and loved whilst we are away.”

“My cats have had the most amazing 9 night stay at Cawthorne cat hotel! My two cats are both house cats so I was understandably nervous about leaving them for that long when they are used to being with us every night. Jennifer kept in contact with us via whatsapp every single day providing us with regular updates about their stay and progress which really put me at ease. The cat rooms are just adorable, they're immaculate filled with everything a cat dreams of! As soon as we arrived to drop them off I knew I had no concerns about leaving them, Jennifer was so welcoming, friendly and very knowledgable about everything cat related. You can tell Jennifer loves her job and is so passionate to provide the best service and care to her guests like they are all her own cats. An extra special thank you to Christina also for providing the best entertainment and cuddles for Willow & Peaches! We will never take them anywhere else now when we go away. They will certainly be back in the future ❤️”

“Ziz is the perfect hostess. Ziz cooks a wonderful breakfast & very knowledgeable about the local area. Being a short walk drown to Matlock town with many trendy cafes resturants & bars. Our room was very comfortable & clean. There is a small lounge area & a garden to enjoy. I am sure you will enjoy your stay at Sherriff Lodge & the Matlock area. There is off street parking which is a blessing on some of the narrower streets.”

If you love walking or biking there are so many amazing trails to choose and explore right next to where you stay! The owners are so lovely and the animals are so sweet. I loved watching them and seeing the goats as I walked to my pod ❤️ couldn’t have asked for a better stay, would definitely go back again! Thank you x”

“This old Farmstead has been turned into multiple cottage/apartment areas by the owners. They have done a beautiful job. I stayed in Dove cottage and was impressed with how well appointed and thoughtfully designed this space was. The owners, Dan & Fay, pay careful attention to detail and provide an outstanding binder of welcome information in each cottage. The includes information about the cottage, amenities of the overall property, things to do in the area for shopping, eating, pubs, and things to do with children. There is even a separate binder for hiking and biking routes in the area which you can access from the cottages area. I love that my cottage had a full kitchen, full bathroom, living room and bedroom. It was absolutely perfect! There is even a leisure room on the property, which is open to all guests. This area includes a dining area for large groups, full kitchen, laundry area, and a room with shelves of boardgames and DVD movies. Bolehill Farm Cottages is a couple miles outside of Bakewell, so you would either need a car to get around, or you can utilize local taxi or Uber services to get in and out of town. During good weather, there are some bicycle routes into town, but I believe the hike into town would take at least 45 minutes to an hour, if not longer. The bus system is fantastic, with buses, leaving throughout of the day to get you to surrounding areas/towns. The visitor/tourist information center in Bakewell is a great resource to help you understand the bus schedules. Just a couple pounds to get to most places nearby. Rent a car so that you can get around, or budget money for Uber and taxi rides. A one-way ride into town for one person is about 8 pounds, and even more during peak times of the day, costing up to three times that.”

“I stayed at Underleigh recently in the Townhead Garden Suite and would definitely recommend it to others! The suite was very big, had a large bed, bathroom and lounge, with access to the garden. Vivienne was great too, providing local recommendations plus a slap up breakfast to start your day! Will 100% be back!”
