“Stayed in Brighton a few times but this time was exceptional! Amazingly warming, welcoming staff. Mike was very attentive and although first time meeting him, he felt like an old friend! Very much a people person and excells in his role. My partner booked the room with the balcony and was a very spacious room with a huge bath tub. Breakfast was fantastic too, best hash brown I have ever had and I have had a few. This is one place you will definitely return too after staying here. Fabulous all round. Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable and having a parking space (although not guaranteed) was so helpful too. X”

“We had a lovely lunch here, friendly staff, lovely food, lovely atmosphere. The only thing that let it down was people who cannot pick up after their dog in the beer garden, no reflection on the Smugglers, but if you take a dog clean up after it.”

“Reasonably priced accommodation in a really convenient location, with your own private bathroom and a lovely little partition creating an internal balcony and screening out the noise from outside. What's not to like? The host was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay.”

“Really lovely place, very clean, lovely friendly & accommodating service. Dog was not phased being away from home & had plenty of room to run around. WiFi excellent. Flexible on having to change booking arrangements at the last minute. Only slight negative, if you stay in Hikers Rest 2, make sure the gate beside it is either latched properly, or securely propped open, otherwise the wind will bang it constantly, waking you up at 3am!”

“Me and a a friend booked a room here quite last minute on a Saturday during a festival and could not believe how lucky we were to find it! The owner, affan, was extremely accommodating and made us feel very welcome, he went above and beyond for us and you can tell he takes pride in these rooms and his guests. The room was spotless and cozy - perfect after a long day of work. The bathroom is also amazing. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!”

“We go to animal fair at least once a month and bye in bulk thay always have a fab selection for you're gorgeous sweet animals a faimly run business always friendly polite there is always some were to park outside in the high street if you are ,lucky sim e times right out side the shop I give anamial fair 5 out of 5 on every thing and if thay don't have it thay will happily order it for you splendid lovley staff and management”

“Our Labradoodle Archie loves Coastway vets, they always treat him well when he goes for his annual check up or for any problems. They also run a fabulous dog show at Hove Lagoon which the dogs, owners and spectators love. It so well attended and draws great crowds, especially for temptation alley! Big thanks to Jay and the team for such a well run event .”

“Grove Lodge has been incredible with my reactive dog. The team are patient and kind and have built trust with my dog to a point that he enjoys coming for visits now instead of being terrified of them.”

“My Staffy Millie stayed the weekend with Paul and his Partner and I could tell on arrival that she had been well looked after and loved. She is a big Staf and can pull with new people and they delt with her very well and with care and kindness. I would highly recommend this small local business.”

“I organised a lunch for 20 people in the private dining room and had a wonderful experience. The staff were brilliant, proactive and quick to response, helping me from the very start with all the logistics and organising. On the day, they styled the room beautifully, service was fantastic and food was amazing. Really tasty seasonal ingredients and great value. All of my guests were so impressed. Thank you to the team, especially Meghan, for all their help!”

“Feels like a proper English country inn, with great atmosphere and friendly staff. There's a function room to hire (I was there for a party) and the buffet was great. I'd be tempted to go try the rooms and the main restaurant sometime.”

“What a fantastic choice of hotel for a stay in Brighton. Sea view from the bed, 100m to the beach,bus stop right outside, free car park, are all good enough reasons, but the staff are fantastic, the breakfast is amazing and the bar attracts an eclectic mixture of guests and the atmosphere had us chatting with everyone until after midnight. I can't wait to plan another trip to Brighton and I already know where we are staying.”

“So magical camping here. I feel like this is a well kept secret. The kind staff, the helpful service, the affordability, the tasty breakfast, the spectacular views. I felt very safe staying as a solo female traveller and will definitely return. I was able to work in the café and the staff were so kind and considerate as I had to stay up late for a deadline. When I wasn't working, staff and residents engaged in hearty conversation. Good humoured Sally, in particular, made me feel at home. You'd be hard pushed finding somewhere this beautiful, peaceful, clean and well run for the same price. I'm a proud member of the YHA after this incredible introduction to the organisation. If this is what the YHA is all about then I am an unofficial ambassador for the organisation!”

“Very good location, The food was good. The receptionist (Ali Behrouz) was very helpful when we had a problem in the basin bathroom, he act really quickly to fix it, with apologize, I am sure every manger will like to employee such a good guy like Mr. Behrouz. we will defiantly coming back. “I stayed at this lovely hotel in November 2025. The service was fantastic, rooms a delight and great location. Unfortunately I had a medical issue during my stay, staff & management went to so much effort to help me and were so helpful. I would definitely stay here again, thank you Legends David”

“My room was small but had everything I could want although the TV reception was a bit iffy. Breakfasts are excellent. Well situated for bus stops, station and town centre and parking for car drivers”

“If art deco decor and floor to ceiling bay windows to die for are your thing, then Paskins Town House is the spot for you. My partner and I have stayed here numerous times over the years and we just love the laid back vibe, every room we have stayed in has been clean and well looked after and hosts are so friendly and welcoming. I couldn't recommend Paskins anymore!”

“Absolutely beautiful & quiet surroundings. Peacocks wondering around freely. Horses being taken for a walk all whilst we were having breakfast. Food was lovely too. Definitely recommend if you're looking to be in a natural setting & wanting to feel totally relaxed.”

She consistently received great care from the excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable Team. This week the time came to say goodbye to our girl. Claire and Louise came to our house and ensured her passing was compassionate, dignified, and respectful. Thank you to all at Cobie Vet Care.”

“We had to use the out of hours emergency vets service for our dog. We were given an appointment straight away leaving us enough time to find the vets in an area we don't know. There was a clients car park, to take away that stress. We had a little wait, but when seen by the vet, she was friendly and professional, explaining her findings and next steps. The only downside was the price, and even though we are covered by insurance it was still expensive.”

“Whisper and I were very happy with her full groom experience. The lady supporting Whisper on her first professional groom adventure was lovely, caring and professional. I assumed it would include a hair cut (short hair.) She advised well and for a small extra fee trimmed her very nicely making her look like a tidy doggy mademoiselle. All black claws cut very nicely too. Thank you, I will return!”

“Get a sea view room. Lovely to open the curtains to it in the morning when the sun is shining. Room was adequate. Bed was comfy. Staff were there in the background but didn't have much to do with them after check in. Breakfast is adequate. Parking is charged for but apparently not guaranteed, which the staff were very upfront about. If you park on the road outside, there are charges from 9am to 6pm. Move a few hundred yards up the road towards Goring and the parking becomes free. We moved our car the first night as soon as we realised this.”

“Stayed here so many times, in the last 20 years, staff are really friendly and very helpful, rooms are very clean and a good size,. Also good range of larger in the bar and the food is always amazing. I will be back again soon.”

“Recommend Gunns to everyone! Whenever Boots or Superdrug tell you 'no, we can't get hold of that prescription' you can guarantee Gunns will be able to help. Lovely staff too with the patience of saints. All smiles and genuine warmth. Bonus points to Max for being really friendly.”
