“I can’t recommend Ark Vets highly enough. They’ve been wonderful looking after my elderly dog, so kind, gentle, and genuinely caring. While I was waiting for my dog’s prescription, the vet actually came out personally to tell me that the medication was available online at a cheaper price. It’s rare to find that kind of honesty and thoughtfulness these days! It’s clear they truly put the wellbeing of both pets and owners first, not profit. “Highly recommend these lovely ladies. I have a goldendoodle so grooming is important for his breed but my dog is not a fan of being groomed even at home he won't let us groom him in certain areas like his face. They're so patient and understanding! They always try there best to make him feel at ease and comfortable while doing the best cut they can :) Thanks to their patience and taking there time over the past few months, they've built up enough trust with him for him to let them do a full groom even in the areas he doesn't usually let anyone touch. I couldn't believe it! He also loves the fusses and treats he gets while he's there! I wouldn't use anyone else. Highly recommend particularly if you have a slightly nervous dog.”

“Such a wonderful zoo ! The animals are very well kept, information boards are genuinely interesting and seasonal decorations plentiful. It took us 4.5hrs to visit (including lunch), and we could easily have stayed longer if we also indulged in a bit of soft play or outdoor play. A must see for any family in the area looking for a day out.”

“Lovely little gem of place just on the path of a canal and run by a small attentive team and seems rather popular . Not vast on the inside but does have a covered outdoor section to the side, really feels cosy surrounded by various interesting canal related items which can be purchased . The menu is straightforward consisting of breakfast / lunch type items which is freshly prepared and the quality is really good along with various takeaway bits near the counter. Just loved it and was really wonderful .”

“My wife and I recently enjoyed a one-night stay at Grimscote Manor Hotel whilst attending a wedding at nearby Blyth Hall in Coleshill. Upon entering the property, I immediately recognised the unique buildings constructed within the grounds - as featured on George Clarke's Channel 4 TV programme! The hotel itself isn't quite as 'unique' but it does have a lovely charm and feel to it - owner Steven's personality is definitely present and in a positive way. We enjoyed a Superior Double room with breakfast and it offered superb value for money at £150 (especially when the government take the VAT from the price). Our accommodation was very clean, spacious and well-equipped. Given the generous floor area, a larger bed would be welcomed by some guest - but it was just right for ourselves. Even with a fabulous building, convenient location and everything you could need, it's the staff who take care of you who really make a place worth staying at. Georgie on reception was brilliant - professional, helpful and friendly. The team at breakfast did a great job, being welcoming and running a slick, efficient operation. If you are looking for accommodation whilst attending an event at the nearby Belfry golf club, enjoying the second city of Birmingham or just want to treat yourselves to a break, Grimscote Manor Hotel is highly recommended. “Really good range of products for a wide variety of species. Everything from cats and dogs, to small mammals, to birds, livestock and poultry is catered for at this store. Fairly priced stock as well. Often has livestock in to purchase.”

“I cannot recommend What the Pup enough! Compared to the previous ones I’ve used (3!) they have a better availability and are reliable! They send you booking confirmations, reminders, receipts, pictures. Very friendly and professional staff. And mainly my nervous dog actually lets them handle her! They managed to even clean her teeth which I haven’t been able to!”

“The Cat Lounge is a great cat cafe! I've been there several times over the past 3 years and it has never disappointed. It's worth mentioning that it's pay by every 5 min. That's not for everyone but it's not bad for an animal cafe. They have a great selection of drinks and desserts. The coffee comes free with a long enough stay! I think it was 30 min but I'm not entirely sure. Both cats and staff are lovely. They have a few different breeds and all of them lead to an increased dopamine. Most cats avoid pets but just admiring them is enough.”

“Took care of my cat when it was necessary. Staff are amazing and waiting times are next to nothing. Affordable services and a great range of treatments and procedures for a wide variety of animals. Has it's own car park at the rear and a few emergency spots at the front. As far as vets go, these guys have really made a great effort.”

“Stayed here 3 nights in January 2017 and it's fantastic! 25 mins drive to Kingsbury Water Park for fantastic dog walks. THE best showers I have had on a site. Spotless and we'll mentioned - AND ARE FREE! Don't be misled by the old scanned map that says £1 showers. Also there is a large laundry room with fresh farm eggs - £1.20 for 6 / £2 for 12. Bargain! Good signal on both EE and 3 networks for phone and 4G coverage. Large pitches, friendly people and horses! Don't think twice, this is lovely and so quiet........ Will be back again one day I'm sure. Can't fault it, we'll done.”

“Great welcome for new puppy, so relaxed he fell asleep in the clean and welcoming Reception area where both Receptionists fussed him and assisted me with paperwork. New Vet Alice was relaxed, gentle and listened well to our needs and proffered superb advice. Bilbo is 8 months old and has had the same great personal medical support as before for previous pets. Newer puppy 5 months Merry, both from The Shire, are individually known by ALL staff.”
