“My go-to chemist for years. They were very kind to my parents and looked after them in their later years. Very good communication with my surgery Richmond Clinic (also v good) and effective system of phoning through repeat prescriptions. Martin and his team always professional and friendly.”

“They were happy to work with my difficult dog when no other groomer would/could and have been doing a fantastic job. When the groomer he had built rapport with was leaving, the business owner offered us to remain with Muddy Pawz and use a new groomer or follow his current groomer to avoid regression: putting our dog’s needs first. We chose to follow his current groomer as she does an amazing job with him and we don’t know whether a new groomer would have the same success, but we feel terrible for leaving as never would have for any other reason. Cannot recommend highly enough. Caring attitude towards doing their best for your dog that goes beyond business.”

“Why would you want a hotel when you can stay here. Beautiful apartments, I mean really nice, clean, spacious and in the very heart of the city. Staff are super helpful. Really look forward to starting here again, happy i going these. Anthony”

“Took my pooch for a groom, not been before, but took a chance. So glad I did. The best groom my dog has had in a very long time. My dog was happy when I collected her, not anxious at all, which is always a good sign. The cut was beautiful. Very happy and already re-booked my little fudge. I recommend this grooming salon for your dogs.”

“Little Westra welcomed our Beagle with a friendly team. I was shown around the kennels and facilities beforehand, which was reassuring for a first timer. Our dog seemed happy enough after his 8 day stay and did not have too much of the usual kennel smell which has happened at a different kennel. Overall I would recommend Little Westra and will use them again should the need arise.”

“Cannot stress how incredible the staff have all been during our recent trips. My 9 week old kitten recently became very ill and, as first time pet owners, we were really unsure and scared. The staff have been so kind, helpful and accommodating. At no point have i ever been made to feel stupid or like a bad owner for not knowing things, nor have they been condescending in any way. Theyve always explained things theyre doing and their thinking of what could be wrong. Its been a bit challenging as we havent been able to diagnose what the illness is, but i in no way blame the service for that, unfortunately sometimes it is that way. But thanks to the vets and nurses doing a great job supporting us and out kitten shes improving day by day! I phone the clinic each day to give an update on how our kitten is doing and every time they always seem so delighted to hear how shes progressing. Due to our kitten being so young her insurance isnt active yet, meaning all of this we were paying out of pocket. The staff have been incredible with this too. Theyve made sure everything they do has been within the means of what we can afford whilst still trying to solve the problem, theyve made us aware of all the options we have such as finance plans etc. and even then, i think the prices have been incredible. I was expecting to pay a LOT, and realistically weve spent less than a fraction of what i was told by friends to expect. The prices are great. All in all, id definitely recommend this vet and im so glad we chose this clinic! Bit of a long review but i really feel these staff deserve all the praise they can receive, im aware theyre “just doing their jobs” but i really feel like theyve gone above and beyond in regards to making us feel comfortable and supported :)”

“Took our little bichon fries for a shampoo and cut during the lockdown. Was a little worried as we had used the same groomer for over 20 years and there are various warts which we always had to be careful about when going for a haircut , but happy to say that our Bichon Jenny came back looking and smelling 1 million dollars. Would definitely recommend to anyone”

“Brought in my senior cat for a hair cut, as she's 17 and is now struggling to sort out her own long fur. They listened to what I wanted and looked after my shy girl. Great job, will definitely come back if required. Friendly, helpful staff, fast and efficient. Thank you.”

“The Range at Culverhouse Cross is a lovely shop with such a lot of items to buy to put in your home and family and friends. Great gifts at good prices. At the back of the shop they have a lovely Garden Centre with a lovely selection of plants, trees and bulbs. There is also a lovely area for being able to shop for food. Many freezers have a great selection of frozen foods.”

“Great breakfast although sausages need work. Lovely black pudding makes up for them. Very reasonably priced with discounted tea and coffee. Lovely jungle atmosphere provided by in house parrots!”

“This hotel ticks all the boxes. Immaculate rooms, great breakfast and fantastic efficient, friendly team. Nothing was too much trouble. Glad we found it and will definitely return if we are back in Cardiff”

“Great store, plenty of parking and friendly staff. Got everything I went for, very good value too. A nice selection of plants and all the household items you need. Good previsions for social distancing wrist queuing, also prospective screens at the checkout for the safety of both staff and customers. The store is ideal as it's right next to Sainsbury's, so convenient for those who do their weekly shop there. Highly recommended.”

“My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Coal Exchange on the 8th of August 2025, and we honestly can’t speak highly enough of the entire experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. A big thank you to Jamie on reception, who was incredibly friendly and polite – he made us feel instantly welcome and set the tone for a fantastic stay. Our room was stunning – beautifully decorated, spacious, and spotlessly clean. The highlight was definitely the spa bath in the room, which added a luxurious and relaxing touch to our evening. It was the perfect way to unwind. We also had the chance to dine at the hotel’s restaurant, and the food was nothing short of amazing. Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. Special mention goes to restaurant managers Haley and Sam T, who were both outstanding – attentive, professional, and clearly passionate about delivering a great dining experience. All in all, The Coal Exchange exceeded our expectations in every way. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!”

“I boarded my two retrievers recently. My girl had never been away from home and was stressed at the initial handover. I need not have worried as both dogs were clean, fluffy and really happy when we collected them. I was very impressed and would definitely recommend.”

“I stayed at The Spires in Cardiff from Wednesday until Friday while working in the city, and it was a great experience. The apartment was very clean, well-presented, and offered excellent value for money. The location is spot on – close to everything you’d need, which made my stay really convenient. I’d also like to mention the gentleman on reception, who was extremely helpful and made check-in and the whole stay very easy. Overall, it was a great stay. I’d highly recommend The Spires Cardiff and will definitely use it again in the future.”

No question felt too much and we felt so supported through not the easiest of times.
